Knowledge Diffusion and economic Growth based on Fourier’s law
Learning is the basic thing for a person’s growth, whenever in school or on the work. Also the economic growth of a country depends its technology and science. The knowledge diffusion in a firm dynamic system is important. Some former models have been given by Fernando E. Alvarez, Francisco J. Buera and Robert E. Lucas, Jr’s paper: “Models of Idea Flows” (Alvarez et al., 2008). Our model based on the earlier work but extend the definition of spread direction based on Fourier’s law, in which case can also explain the asymptotic equilibrium state. Solving the partial differential equation helps us to learn the solution well. A simulation is given using finite difference method to sketch the curve moving, also comparing with the realistic economic curves and they are fit. It can well explain the economic stable in the closed system of a single country and a “huge” change under some special outside “source” power.

Rule-interposing deep reinforcement learning based energy management strategy for power-split hybrid electric vehicle
The optimization and training processes of deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based energy management strategy (EMS) can be very slow and resource-intensive. In this paper, an improved energy management framework that embeds expert knowledge into deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) is proposed. Incorporated with the battery characteristics and the optimal brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) curve of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), we are committed to solving the optimization problem of multi-objective energy management with a large space of control variables. By incorporating this prior knowledge, the proposed framework not only accelerates the learning process, but also gets a better fuel economy, thus making the energy management system relatively stable. The experimental results show that the proposed EMS outperforms the one without prior knowledge and the other state-of-art deep reinforcement learning approaches. In addition, the proposed approach can be easily generalized to other types of HEV EMSs.

Collection weeding: Innovative processes and tools to ease the burden
Evaluating collections and ultimately removing content poses a variety of difficult issues, including choosing appropriate deselection criteria, communicating with stakeholders, providing accountability, and managing the overall timetable to finish projects on time. The Science and Engineering librarians at Brigham Young University evaluated their entire print collection of over 350,000 items within one year, significantly reducing the number of items kept on the open shelves and the physical collection footprint. Keys to accomplishing this project were extensive preparation, tracking progress and accountability facilitated by Google Sheets and an interactive GIS stacks map, and stakeholder feedback facilitated by a novel web-based tool. This case study discusses guidelines to follow and pitfalls to avoid for any organization that is considering a large- or small-scale collection evaluation project.

IMPROVING PAIN REASSESSMENT AND DOCUMENTATION RATES: A QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN A TEACHING HOSPITAL’S EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
ED pain score reassessment and documentation rates were drastically low according to sampled data from the St. Margaret Hospital Emergency Department leading to difficult pain management encounters for clinicians. The purpose of this project was to improve pain score reassessment rates in ED patients who were discharged with extremity pain. Methods: This project was an 8-month, prepostinterventional (preintervention: September-November 2018, intervention: December 2018-January 2019, and postintervention: February-April 2019) quality improvement project that took place in a community hospital emergency department. Emergency nurses participated in 6 focus groups, allowing for the creation of focus group-themed interventions at the request of the nursing staff. Daily audits of pain reassessment and documentation rates for individual nurses took place during the month of January 2019. In addition, a weekly newsletter was created and reported the ED pain reassessment and documentation rates. Results: All patient encounters (581) were reviewed over the 8-month period. Baseline pain score reassessment and documentation rates were 36.2% (confidence interval, 30.3%-42.3%) in the emergency department. Pain reassessment and documentation rates increased to 62.3% (confidence interval, 56.8%-67.6%) during the 3-month postintervention period. Discussion: Implementing daily audits and weekly newsletters that created transparency of individual and group performances increased pain score reassessment and documentation rates.

Mindfulness mediates the relationship between cognitive reappraisal and resilience in higher education students
Background: : associations between the constructs of cognitive reappraisal and resilience, in particular within the context of higher education (HE), have been consistently reported. Moreover, both constructs are strongly and positively associated with mindfulness, meaning that higher levels of mindfulness are found in people who are better at reappraising emotions and being resilient. However, no investigation has so far clarified the role that may mindfulness play in the relationship between cognitive reappraisal and resilience, especially within populations where a strong effect, such as for university students, is already evident. Aims: : the present study tested the hypothesis that mindfulness plays a mediational role in the association between cognitive reappraisal and psychological resilience. Sample: : this study involved a sample of 811 students enrolled at universities within the UK. Results: : the data confirmed the strong relationship between cognitive reappraisal and resilience, as well as each constructs individual association with mindfulness. In addition, mindfulness was a significant mediator of the relationship between cognitive appraisal and resilience, thus corroborating the studys main hypothesis. Conclusions: : as the concern around students’ mental health grows bigger worldwide, these findings suggest that implementing mindfulness training programmes within HE should be given increasing consideration in the future.

Leading successful government-academia collaborations using FLOSS and agile values
Government and academia share concerns for efficiently and effectively servicing societal demands, which includes the development of e-government software. Government-academia partnerships can be a valu- able approach for improving productivity in achieving these goals. However, governmental and academic institutions tend to have very different agendas and organizational and managerial structures, which can hinder the success of such collaborative projects. In order to identify effective approaches to overcome collaboration barriers, we systematically studied the case of the Brazilian Public Software portal project, a 30-month government-academia collaboration that, using Free/Libre/Open Source Software practices and agile methods for project management, developed an unprecedented platform in the context of the Brazil- ian government. We gathered information from experience reports and data collection from repositories and interviews to derive a collection of practices that contributed to the success of the collaboration. In this paper, we describe how the data analysis led to the identification of a set of three high-level decisions supported by the adoption of nine best practices that improved the project performance and enabled professional training of the whole team.

Designing with differences, cross-disciplinary collaboration in transport infrastructure planning and design
The study explores enablers and barriers of collaborative planning and design work in transport infrastructure planning projects, drawing upon five cases of projects in Sweden. The study apply a set of theoretical lenses complied of previous research focusing professional knowledge and co-production in planning and design practices, and research revolving around the concept of boundary objects in studies of collaborative work. The study provides insights into the mechanisms of practitioners learning across professional boundaries: what they learn fromeach other, howthey learn, and how the learning facilitates collaborative work. The results show that disciplinary barriers can be bridged through both individual efforts and project management strategies. This study shed light a set of enablers on individual level including; 1) a capacity to change focus between solving tasks within the remit of ones own discipline and jointly solving tasks together with professionals representing other disciplines; 2) curiosity and interest other professional perspectives; 3) willingness to learn from other professionals; and 4) motivation to engage in cross-disciplinary design processes. Project management is proposed to enable collaboration by; 1) opening up discussions about reasons and motives for collaborative work; 2) opening up discussions about strategies for collaborative processes; 3) promoting and facilitating learning processes among project participants, 4) coordinating meetings and activities for collaboration, and 5) facilitating deliberative dialogues at project meetings in which different types of knowledge can be put forth and interrelated.

An Approach Based on Bayesian Network for Improving ProjectManagement Maturity: An Application to Reduce Cost Overrun Risksin Engineering Projects
The project management field has the imperative to increase the success probability of projects. Expertshave developed several Project Management Maturity (PMM) models to assess project managementpractices and improve the project outcome. However, the current literature lacks models that allowexperts to correlate the measured maturity with the expected probability of success. The present paperdevelops a general framework and a method to estimate the impact of PMM on project performance. Ituses Bayesian networks to formalize project management experts’ knowledge and to extract knowledgefrom a database of past projects. An industrial case concerning large projects in the oil and gas industryis used to illustrate the application of the method to reduce the risk of project cost (or budget) overruns.

Utilizing courageous dialogue to support minority and disadvantaged background nursing students
Background: Nursing students from historically underrepresented ethnic minorities and disadvantaged background (HUREM-DB) groups often face barriers such as a lack of consistent financial resources, fewer professional role models, bias, and micro-inequities. Utilizing a multifaceted approach for support can be crucial to enhancing student success. Purpose of the project: MENTORS2 mitigates some of the challenges for HUREM-DB nursing students with educational, cultural, social, and financial resources. Courageous dialogue (CD) was one required activity of MENTORS2 and included topics such as stress management, time management, and honors project preparation. Implementation of the project: Courageous dialogue sessions were conducted with 56 HUREM-DB undergraduate nursing students enrolled in a baccalaureate program. The number of evaluations submitted for a session averaged 17 (range 7–36). Courageous dialogue sessions allowed students to express views in a safe environment with opportunities for peer support, role modeling, open discussion, and problem solving. Project outcomes: Student evaluations reflected an appreciation of the opportunity to share experiences and learn new skills, knowledge, and approaches to aid their success in nursing school and perhaps their entry into the profession of nursing. Conclusion: Courageous dialogue can be an important part of a comprehensive strategy to support HUREM-DB nursing students academically, socially, and professionally.
