این مقاله به بررسی مزیت نسبی واقعیت افزوده نسبت به ارائه محصول در وب می پردازد. مدل واکنش مصرف کننده را طراحی کرده و واکنش مصرف کنندگان به نرم افزار مکانی آی کی ایی ای و وب سایت موبایلی آی کی ایی ای در گوشی های هوشمند مقایسه می کنیم. نتایج نشان می دهد که واقعیت افزوده عملکرد بهتری نسبت به ارائه محصول در وب سایت دارد در حالی که عکس قضیه به ازای کارایی رسانه درست است. نتایج نشان می دهد ارائه محصول در وب با ایجاد لذت واکنش عاطفی (پسند محصول، لذت جویی) و شناختی (اثربخشی محصول، اعتماد انتخابی) به ویژگی واقعیت افزوده همراه است. برای دستیابی به قصد خرید بالا، آنها باید تعامل را با مشتری افزایش دهند و از محصول انتخاب شده اطمینان یابند.

Identification and differentiation of commercial and military explosives via high performance liquid chromatography – high resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-HRMS), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF): Towards a forensic substance database on explosives

The identification of confiscated commercial and military explosives is a crucial step not only in the uncovering of distribution pathways, but it also aids investigating officers in criminal casework. Even though commercial and military explosives mainly rely on a small number of high-energy compounds, a great variety of additives and synthesis by-products can be found that can differ depending on the brand, manufacturer and application. This makes the identification of commercial and military explosives based on their overall composition a promising approach that can be used to establish a pan-European Forensic Substance Database on Explosives. In this work, three analytical techniques were employed to analyze 36 samples of commercial and military explosives from Germany and Switzerland. An HPLC-HRMS method was developed, using 27 analytes of interest that encompass high-energy compounds, synthesis by-products and additives. HPLCHRMS and XRD were used to gather and confirm molecular information on each sample and XRF analyses were carried out to gain insight on the elemental composition. Combining the results from all three techniques, 41 different additives could be identified as being diagnostic analytes and all samples showed a unique analytical fingerprint, which allows for a differentiation of the samples. Therefore, this work presents a set of methods that can be used as a foundation for the creation and population of a database on explosives that enables the assigning of specific formulations to certain brands, manufacturers and countries of origin.

Reconciling alignment, efficiency, and agility in IT project portfolio management: Recommendations based on a revelatory case study

Current developments put significant pressure on IT project portfolio management (IT PPM), increasingly requiring IT project portfolios to be strategically aligned and efficient yet agile. Accordingly, our aim is to identify IT-PPM-related tensions among the three design goals alignment, efficiency, and agility, and to elaborate a set of design principles that will provide organizations with recommendations for reconciling these goals. We conduct our research trough the theoretical lens of Activity Theory. Our findings are based on a revelatory case study in the financial services sector and are evaluated through focus group discussions and expert interviews.

Bayesian decomposition of multi-modal dynamical systems for reinforcement learning

In this paper, we present a model-based reinforcement learning system where the transition model is treated in a Bayesian manner. The approach naturally lends itself to exploit expert knowledge by intro- ducing priors to impose structure on the underlying learning task. The additional information introduced to the system means that we can learn from small amounts of data, recover an interpretable model and, importantly, provide predictions with an associated uncertainty. To show the benefits of the approach, we use a challenging data set where the dynamics of the underlying system exhibit both operational phase shifts and heteroscedastic noise. Comparing our model to NFQ and BNN+LV, we show how our approach yields human-interpretable insight about the underlying dynamics while also increasing data-efficiency.

Performative corporate brand identity in industrial markets: The case of German prosthetics manufacturer Ottobock

The assumption that corporate brand identity is an internal creation is increasingly challenged by recently published research, which discusses identity as an ongoing social process of co-creation. The majority of the resulting insights relate to business-to-consumer brands and the relevance of brand identity co-creation to business-to-business branding remains largely undiscovered, even though the notions of interrelation between company and stakeholders are more intense in industrial settings. The purpose of the paper is to understand how a company and its corporate culture, behaviour, brand management and communication approach have to change over time to allow for corporate brand identity co-creation. This paper explores the individual case of a world- leading German prosthetic-technology company. Analysing the branding process over the period 1988 to 2018, we identiﬁed four phases in the transformation of corporate brand identity from internally governed to a nested system of identities.

Low carbon building performance in the construction industry: A multi-method approach of project management operations and building energy use applied in a UK public office building

The “performance gap”in the United Kingdom construction industry is a persistent problem as new building development projects underperform more often than not. The “performance gap”is partially attributed to the number of stages involved in building project development and the coordination diffi- culties of partners with different incentives. The project outcome is important for energy consumption, carbon emissions and occupant well-being. Thus, it is important to study the project management pro- cess in terms of the standard time, cost and quality parameters, but also in terms of project partner incentives and coordination, and the subsequent energy performance and resultant indoor environmental conditions. A system dynamics model of project management processes is developed to explore the im- plications of partner coordination for building quality. The system dynamics model is coupled to a build- ing performance simulation model to explore building energy consumption and Indoor Environmental Quality, and apply this on a recent building project case study. Results show that greater project partner alignment can reduce annual energy consumption up to 12% and CO 2 emissions up to 37%, with greater emphasis in the design stage of the project subject to resource availability. The trade-offs involved on value appropriation are considered and discussion of results points to possible ways for improvement.

Breaking through innovation barriers: Linking effectuation orientation to innovation performance

This study aims to understand how ﬁrms overcome market-based innovation barriers and achieve innovation performance using the effectuation orientation construct. In so doing, we provide more nuanced insights into how the combination of mindsets and actions helps ﬁrms to overcome barriers. Based on a quantitative research design, data from 157 established organizations show variations in how effectual actions are related to perceived innovation barriers. Among the conclusions we draw from the results is the fact that effectual contingency and effectual means orientation are negatively associated with market-based innovation barriers, which are in turn negatively associated with a ﬁrm’s innovation performance. Overall, the empirical results provide new insights into the literature of both innovation and entrepreneurship.© 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

A dynamic supply chain BSC-based methodology to improve operations efficiency

This paper presents how to objectively set up the process for activation of the future action plans from a supply chain Balanced Scorecard (BSC), aligning such an activation process to reach the main objectives and being able to save resources. Additionally, it also shows how to define supply chain business scenarios based on the future expected values of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Once the future business scenario has been chosen, the KPI values associated with this scenario will become the new KPI values of the BSC in order to align efforts and save resources Further, the strategic objectives associated with the KPIs may also be extensively retuned, thus redefining their target values. From the application carried out, there were four KPIs whose values needed, in absolute terms, to be increased and four other KPIs to be decreased. Additionally, the associated strategic objectives were retuned; for example, the value of the strategic objective “To reduce product development costs” was initially set in the BSC at 10 % but it was deduced to 8% as a consequence of the application of the proposal. As a result, this methodology has aligned all the future efforts of a whole supply chain in order to reach one point on a plane, which is a combination of interrelated supply chain KPI.

Constrained inefficiency of competitive entrepreneurship

We study the constrained efficiency of a competitive entrepreneurship model that features the occupation choice between entrepreneurs and workers. It is shown that, even when (1) the only friction is uninsurable entrepreneurial risks and (2) agents are risk-averse, the competitive market can generate too many entrepreneurs. We present a sufficient statistic that determines the constrained inefficiency and its direction (whether market generates too many entrepreneurs or too few) by exploiting the unique feature of the model where the equilibrium is characterized by an indifference condition instead of a marginal condition. The framework is also pedagogically useful to understand constrained efficiency analysis at intuitive level.© 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

The impact of entrepreneurship orientation on project performance: A machine learning approach

Recent studies in project management have shown the important role of entrepreneurship orientation of the individuals in project performance. Although identifying the role of entrepreneurship orientation as a critical success factor in project performance has been considered as an important issue, it is also important to develop a measurement system for predicting performance based on the degree of an individual’s entrepreneurial orientation. In this study, we use predictive analytics by proposing a machine learning approach to predict individuals’ project performance based on measures of several aspects of entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial attitude of the individuals. We investigated this relationship using a sample of 185 observations and a range of machine learning algorithms including lasso, ridge, support vector machines, neural networks, and random forest. Our results showed that the best method for predicting project performance is lasso. After identifying the best predictive model, we then used the Bayesian Information Criterion and the Akaike Infor mation Criterion to identify the most significant factors. Our results identify all three aspects of entrepreneurial attitude (social self-efficacy, appearance self-efficacy, and comparativeness) and one aspect of entrepreneurial orientation (proactiveness) as the most important factors. This study contributes to the relationship between entrepreneurship skills and project performance and provides insights into the application of emerging tools in data science and machine learning in operations management and project management research.
