1 Radiography of human dry bones: A reflective account with recommendations for practice
Introduction: This study presents the reflective account of a large-scale radiographic survey of medieval and post-medieval long bones from St Albans, United Kingdom. As a practicing diagnostic radiographer and archaeologist, the author sought to apply experiential learning to generate recommendations for archaeological and forensic radiography practice. The purpose of the imaging was to identify Harris lines for biological stress, however this reflective piece concerns the adaptation of clinical radiographic technique for human dry bones.
Methods: Imaging took place over five sessions in early 2021 with the assistance of an osteoarchaeologist. Radiography followed standard clinical views (anterior-posterior and medio-lateral) of femora, humeri, radii and tibiae using a digital radiography system. A workplace diary was used to record challenges, solutions and musings related to radiographic technique. The Rolfe, Freshwater and Jasper reflective model was applied to collate and present findings.
Results: A total of 502 radiographs of 426 long bones (92 individuals) were acquired. A multidisciplinary team was found to be essential for correct identification of anatomy, laterality and orientation of remains during the survey. Anterior-posterior views were easiest to achieve, with medio-lateral imaging requiring considerably more effort. Radiolucent sponge supports were necessary, although fragmented remains were often impossible to position accurately. Hands-on experience of human bones improved the authors knowledge and confidence with osteology.
Conclusion: Although limited to selective long bones of archaeological context and personal experience, the findings of this study have direct applications for forensic radiography practice. This includes use of a multidisciplinary team, robust workflow with integrated failsafe checks, consistent imaging approach and the application of radiolucent sponge supports.
Implications for practice: Recommendations within this study may contribute towards a comprehensive guide for radiographic technique for human dry bones.

2 A marine geoarchaeological investigation for the cultural anthesis and the sustainable growth of Methoni, Greece
The ‘Evolved GE.N.ESIS Project’ highlights the underwater cultural heritage resources off the coast ofMethoni, Greece that could locally drive sustainable socioeconomic growth. An integrated marine geo-physical survey, a hydrographic survey, and a GNSS survey were conducted off Methoni, recording sixhistoric wreck sites, artefacts, the ruins of a submerged prehistoric settlement, and the town’s ancientharbour/breakwater, as well as the geophysical properties of the underwater environment. The prelim-inary project results present bathymetric surfaces, backscatter intensity and magnetic maps, drawings, and seismic reflection profiles of the underwater antiquities and of the seabed, all fused in a 3D geo-graphical platform. The results also shed light on the archaeological potential of the site, the nearshorephysical processes, and their effect on the underwater archaeological resources. The project outcomeshave shown that the establishment of an underwater archaeological park and diving sites at the culturalheritage sites will support cultural tourism development in the area and will have a positive impact onlocal socioeconomic development. The underwater archaeological park should comply with the basicprinciples of a site management plan – one that is established in the context of an integrated coastalmanagement plan that identifies the maritime synergies or conflicts among human activities, archaeo-logical resources, and the local environment, and utilises the 3D synthesis of marine knowledge from theproject outcomes as a decision-making tool.

4 Space technology meets policy: An overview of Earth Observation sensors for monitoring of cultural landscapes within policy framework for Cultural Heritage
A wide range of satellite sensors that provide potentially useful imagery for digital documentation, mapping and monitoring of archaeological sites and cultural landscapes. Although some satellites have stopped acquiring new data, their archived satellite imagery can still be accessed, downloaded and exploited for monitoring of changes and therefore useful for research domain of archaeology and cultural landscapes. The aim of this paper is 1) to make an overview of past and current satellite earth observation optical sensors useful for land monitoring, with focus on cultural landscapes and 2) to illustrate a policy framework that goes beyond recommendations, suggesting the need of valuable information possibly provided by the in satellite imagery. Paper will put focus on Copernicus programme as the most recent mission that provides imagery on the global scale and free of charge. Paper, furthermore, highlights the need for a more structured consideration of the contribution that space technologies services and products can offer to the non-space sectors. The actions for implementation of strategies regarding the currently renewed attention towards cultural heritage protection and management, could soon benefit from the technological achievements of satellite technologies in terms of dedicated operational services and applications, tailored to the needs of end-users such as archaeologists, landscape professionals, public administration, researchers and students.

5 Global Divides and Cultural Diversity: Challenges for the World Archaeological Congress
The major challenge of our generation is breaking down global divides, especially as these relate to inequities of wealth, power, and access to knowledge. Related to this is the impact of globalization on cultural diversity. Using the example of the World Archaeological Congress as a case study, this paper explores how scholarly organizations can impact upon, and be impacted by, these divides. This study identifies measures that narrow the gap between richer and poorer and which enhance global diversity, as well as measures that act in a converse direction. Finally, this paper identifies challenges for the future of archaeology that arise from this discussion. keywords: Globalization | Cultural diversity | The politics of archaeology | Global divides
