1 Internet of Things-enabled Passive Contact Tracing in Smart Cities
ردیابی تماس غیرفعال با قابلیت اینترنت اشیا در شهرهای هوشمند-2022
Contact tracing has been proven an essential practice during pandemic outbreaks and is a critical non-pharmaceutical intervention to reduce mortality rates. While traditional con- tact tracing approaches are gradually being replaced by peer-to-peer smartphone-based systems, the new applications tend to ignore the Internet-of-Things (IoT) ecosystem that is steadily growing in smart city environments. This work presents a contact tracing frame- work that logs smart space users’ co-existence using IoT devices as reference anchors. The design is non-intrusive as it relies on passive wireless interactions between each user’s carried equipment (e.g., smartphone, wearable, proximity card) with an IoT device by uti- lizing received signal strength indicators (RSSI). The proposed framework can log the iden- tities for the interacting pair, their estimated distance, and the overlapping time duration. Also, we propose a machine learning-based infection risk classification method to char- acterize each interaction that relies on RSSI-based attributes and contact details. Finally, the proposed contact tracing framework’s performance is evaluated through a real-world case study of actual wireless interactions between users and IoT devices through Bluetooth Low Energy advertising. The results demonstrate the system’s capability to accurately cap- ture contact between mobile users and assess their infection risk provided adequate model training over time. © 2021 Elsevier B.V. 2 IoT architecture for continuous long term monitoring: Parkinson’s Disease case study
معماری اینترنت اشیا برای نظارت طولانی مدت مداوم: مطالعه موردی بیماری پارکینسون-2022
In recent years, technological advancements and the strengthening of the Internet of Things concepts have led to significant improvements in the technology infrastructures for remote monitoring. This includes telemedicine which is the ensemble of technologies and tools involved in medical services, from consultations, to diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment and patient monitoring, all done remotely via an Internet connection.
Developing a telemedicine framework capable of monitoring patients over a continuous long-term monitoring window may encounter various issues related to the battery life of the device or the accuracy of the retrieved data. Moreover, it is crucial to develop an IoT architecture that is adaptable to various scenarios and the ongoing changes of the application scenario under analysis.
In this work, we present an IoT architecture for continuous long-term monitoring of patients. Furthermore, as a real scenario case study, we adapt our IoT architecture for Parkinson’s Disease management, building up the PDRMA (Parkinson’s disease remote monitoring architecture). Performance analysis for optimal operation with respect to temperature and daily battery life is conducted. Finally, a multi-parameter app for the continuous monitoring of Parkinson’s patients is presented.

3 Equivalence Checking of Quantum Circuits With the ZX-Calculus
بررسی هم ارزی مدارهای کوانتومی با ZX-calculus-2022
As state-of-the-art quantum computers are capable of running increasingly complex algorithms, the need for automated methods to design and test potential applications rises. Equivalence checking of quantum circuits is an important, yet hardly automated, task in the development of the quantum software stack. Recently, new methods have been proposed that tackle this problem from widely different perspectives. One of them is based on the ZX-calculus, a graphical rewriting system for quantum computing. However, the power and capability of this equivalence checking method has barely been explored. The aim of this work is to evaluate the ZX-calculus as a tool for equivalence checking of quantum circuits. To this end, it is demonstrated how the ZX-calculus based approach for equivalence checking can be expanded in order to verify the results of compilation flows and optimizations on quantum circuits. It is also shown that the ZX-calculus based method is not complete—especially for quantum circuits with ancillary qubits. In order to properly evaluate the proposed method, we conduct a detailed case study by comparing it to two other state-of-the-art methods for equivalence checking: one based on path-sums and another based on decision diagrams. The proposed methods have been integrated into the publicly available QCEC tool (https://github.com/cda-tum/qcec) which is part of the Munich Quantum Toolkit (MQT).

4 Computer vision for package tracking on omnidirectional wheeled conveyor: Case study
بینایی کامپیوتری برای ردیابی بسته در نوار نقاله چرخدار همه جهته: مطالعه موردی-2022
In this paper, a real-time camera tracking system for package transportation on omnidirectional wheeled conveyor is presented. The camera tracking system is integrated with a closed-loop controller for packages path planning. No additional sensors are used for the controller implementation, only a 2-D Camera. The package’s position and orientation are detected by the camera tracking system in real-time. Two proposed systems are presented, System I is implemented using the conventional image processing technique threshold method while System II is implemented using computer vision. In System II, three computer vision models were evaluated: Detectron2, YOLOv5 and Faster R-CNN. Experimental results in real-time show that System I have lower accuracy rate 85.7% compared to System II which reported 98% and 88.1% for YOLOv5 and Detectron2, respectively. YOLOv5 reported the best results among the computer vision models with 1% missing rate, 45.5 FPS and average precision of 99.8%.

5 Mutation Testing of Quantum Programs: A Case Study With Qiskit
آزمایش جهش برنامه های کوانتومی: مطالعه موردی با Qiskit-2022
As quantum computing is still in its infancy, there is an inherent lack of knowledge and technology to test a quantum program properly. In the classical realm, mutation testing has been successfully used to evaluate how well a program’s test suite detects seeded faults (i.e., mutants). In this article, building on the definition of syntactically equivalent quantum operations, we propose a novel set of mutation operators to generate mutants based on qubit measurements and quantum gates. To ease the adoption of quantum mutation testing, we further propose QMutPy, an extension of the well-known and fully automated open-source mutation tool MutPy. To evaluate QMutPy’s performance, we conducted a case study on 24 real quantum programs written in IBM’s Qiskit library. Furthermore, we show how better test suite coverage and improvements to test assertions can increase the test suites’ mutation score and quality. QMutPy has proven to be an effective quantum mutation tool, providing insight into the current state of quantum tests and how to improve them.

8 Autoencoder based Consensus Mechanism for Blockchain-enabled Industrial Internet of Things
مکانیزم اجماع مبتنی بر رمزگذار خودکار برای اینترنت اشیاء صنعتی دارای بلاک چین-2022
Conventional blockchain technologies developed for cryptocurrency applications involve complex consensus algorithms which are not suitable for resource constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Therefore, several lightweight consensus mechanisms that are suitable for IoT devices have been proposed in recent studies. However, these lightweight consensus mechanisms do not verify the originality of the data generated by the IoT devices, so false and anomalous data may pass through and be stored in the ledger for further analysis. In this work to address the data originality verification problem, we propose an autoencoder (AE)-integrated Chaincode (CC)-based consensus mechanism in which the AE differentiates normal data from anomalous data. The AE is invoked through the CC once a transaction is initiated; the result returned from the AE to the CC is stored in the ledger. We have conducted a case study to train and test the AE model on the IoTID20 dataset. Also, Minifabric (MF) is used to implement the CC and illustrate the CC operation that stores only original IoT data. Moreover, the performance has been shown for the CC in terms of latency and throughput.

9 Introducing an application of an industry 4:0 solution for circular supply chain management
معرفی کاربرد راه حل صنعت 4:0 برای مدیریت حلقه تأمین دایره ای-2021
In recent years, sustainable supply chain management practices have been adopted by companies that desire to reduce the negative environmental and social impacts within their supply chains. Within this perspective, a circular approach has been developed in the supply chain literature. Circular economy models and solutions assisted by industry 4.0 technologies have been developed to transform products in the end of their life cycle into new products with different use. In this paper an industry 4.0 waste-to- energy solution is developed and applied in a pilot case study comprised by a real-world supply chain to evaluate the sustainability performance of circular supply chain management (CSCM). The findings show that redesigning supply chains for circular economy with the use of Industry 4.0 technologies, can enable circular supply chain management. Clear benefits are provided linking the proposed solution to the six circular economy dimensions of the ReSOLVE model i.e. regenerate, share, optimize, loop, virtualise, and exchange. Improved availability of personnel (5% and 15%) and fleet resources (15%) are identified as some of the key quantitative benefits, while supply chain traceability through the full visibility and automation offered by the proposed solution, are some of the key non-quantifiable out- comes. The present work seeks to contribute to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence of how industry 4.0 and circular economy are applied in practice. Implications for managers and policy makers, along with the study limitations and further research paths are also presented.© 2021 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd. 10 Social movements, identity and disruption in organizational fields: Accounting for farm animal welfare
جنبش های اجتماعی، هویت و اختلال در زمینه های سازمانی: حسابداری برای رفاه حیوانات مزرعه-2021
In this study we provide evidence on how accounting disclosures can motivate social movement organizations (SMOs) to create a new source of normativity in an organizational field, to impact upon firms through identity, image and culture. The source of normativity, the Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW), was created as a means of accounting for farm animal welfare by food companies. Working at the intersection of theories relating to organizational fields, social movements and organizational identity, we investigate how the SMOs create the conditions for change through their framing of farm animal welfare, collective action and the mobilization of resources. Ideas such as institutional agency and institutional control are introduced to explain the power dynamics that enable change. By interpreting the organizational field as a relational space, identity, self-interest and intermittently-active fields provide further constructs to explain behaviour. Evidence from BBFAW reports and publications demonstrates how the NGOs employed a multi-period strategy to effect change. A longitudinal company case study provides an illustration of the cascade of the movement, demonstrating that there is more than an alignment of accounting disclosures. New business opportunities arise, requiring a realignment of strategy, a redesign of organizational architecture and participation of stakeholders. We illustrate our findings through the creation of a framework which could be employed more widely to study of sources of normativity in a relational field. This paper shows that accounting disclosures have a role to play in creating a new normativity that generates social change.
