1 An edge creation history retrieval based method to predict links in social networks
یک روش مبتنی بر بازیابی تاریخچه ایجاد لبه برای پیش بینی پیوندها در شبکه های اجتماعی-2020
Link prediction is a graph mining task that aims to foretell whether pairs of non-linked nodes will connect in the future. It has many useful applications in social networks such as friend recommendation, identification of future collaborations between authors in co-authorship networks, discovery of hidden groups of terrorists and criminals, among others. In general, the state-of-the-art link prediction methods consider topological data extracted from the current state (i.e., the most recent and available snapshot) of a network. They do not take into account information that describes how the network’s topology was at the moments when the existing edges were created. Hence, those methods take the chance to disregard information about the circumstances that may have influenced the appearance of old edges, and that could be useful to predict the creation of new ones. Thus, this study raises and evaluates the hypothesis that recovering such data may contribute to improving link prediction. This hypothesis is justified since those data enrich the description of the application’s context with examples that represent exactly the kind of event to be foreseen: the creation of new connections. To this end, this paper proposes a new link prediction method that is based on edge creation history retrieval. Results from experiments with twenty scenarios of four real co-authorship social networks presented statistical evidence that indicates the effectiveness of the proposed method and confirms the raised hypothesis.

2 Forest entrepreneurship: A bibliometric analysis and a discussion about the co-authorship networks of an emerging scientific field
کارآفرینی در جنگل: یک تحلیل کتابشناختی و بحث در مورد شبکه های تألیف مشترک یک حوزه علمی در حال ظهور-2020
Forest management has been recognized as a significant challenge for various scientific fields, namely because the difficulties in creating employment and economic dynamics in the forestry sector. Actually, it is not easy to generate more returns, in this sector, for the land owners, in addition to the production of wood after several years, depending on the produced species. In general, these difficulties lead to the land abandonment and a large set of associated problems like the forest fires. The main objective of this research is therefore to highlight the main insights from the literature related with the forest entre- preneurship, as supports for the several stakeholders, namely the policymakers, stressing the main gaps in the current scientific literature. In this paper, we have developed a bibliometric analysis through the VOSviewer software, complemented with a literature review, considering 83 articles obtained from the Web of Science (core collection) and Scopus related with the topic of ‘forest’ and ‘entrepreneurship’. We detailed the networks of Journals, Countries, Terms and Authors that have been researching and pub- lishing in the scientific domains of ‘forest entrepreneurship’. Additionally, we studied measures of social networks analysis for each case. This kind of analysis for these topics has a particular novelty, because there is still a significant scarcity of studies addressing these approaches. In fact, searching, for example, in WOS (all databases) for the topics ‘forest’, ‘entrepreneurship’ and ‘bibliometric’ we found zero documents (the same for Scopus platform, considering the article title, abstract and keywords). We concluded that the recent field of ‘forest entrepreneurship’ has allowed a higher level of co-authorships and a lower level of centrality in the citations’ network. We identified, also, that there are some gaps in the scientific literature, namely related with the few multidisciplinary networks outside the forest sciences in these topics. Finally, we observed that these topics are related with authors who, on average, published with 9 co-authors along their career and that authors working on the most generic topic of ‘forest’ tend to have 17 different co-authors, reinforcing the characteristics of ‘forestry entrepreneurship’ as a relevant but emerging scientific field.© 2020 Elsevier Ltd. 3 Evaluating “startup readiness” for researchers: case studies of research-based startups with biopharmaceutical research topics
ارزیابی "آمادگی راه اندازی" برای محققان: مطالعات موردی استارت آپ های مبتنی بر تحقیق با موضوعات تحقیقاتی زیست دارویی-2020
For research domains such as life sciences, which pursue fundamental scientific understanding and applications intended for immediate use, academic entrepreneurship has played a pivotal role in commercialization. This paper presents an evaluation method of researchers related to user-inspired fundamental research, using global databases of startup finances and academic research papers of "startup readiness." Case studies of startups related to biopharmaceutical research topics suggest that the biopharmaceutical field has rich opportunities stemming from scientific research, commercialization, and entrepreneurship. This evaluation method sorts specific industry segments by which financing activities are active, and by which related growing research topics attract increased academic attention. We constructed networks of author citation and co-authorship from paper citation networks related to research topics in industry segments in the biopharmaceutical domain. Results obtained across all research topics we surveyed demonstrated that authors in the top 10% of degree centrality ranking in both networks are far more likely to be startup participants than other authors. Our computational approach might provide convenient, dynamic, global, and real-time understanding of the “startup readiness” of researchers working with research topics for which academic attention is emerging in actively financed biopharmaceutical fields.
