1 Two-echelon supply chain network design with trade credit
Two-echelon supply chain network design with trade credit-2021
This study considers a two-echelon supply chain that is comprised of an outside vendor, multiple distribution centers (DCs), and multiple retailers. The retailers have access to trade credit offered by upstream suppliers. We propose an integrated DC-retailer network design model that optimizes trade credit terms and safety stock levels, in addition to the decisions of DC locations, DC-retailer assignments, and inventory replenishment policies typically considered in the literature. The operating and handling cost is concave and non-decreasing to capture economies of scale whereas most existing studies simply assume that such cost is linear in demand. Trade credit financing cost is characterized in a way that preserves the important mathematical structure of the classic warehouse retailer network design model. Leveraging on the sub modularity property of the cost components, we developed a polymatroid cutting-plane solution algorithm, which is effective for practically sized problem in- stances in numerical experiments. The results show that incorporating trade credit financing into supply chain network design may substantially reduce the total cost. Further, our study suggests a more consolidated supply chain network when either the safety stock or financing cost increases. Interestingly, as financing cost rises, a high-volume and low-frequency reorder pattern is favored, but the opposite is recommended when financing gain increases. The variation of each individual cost component is also analyzed for an in-depth understanding of the impact of operational and financial parameters on supply chain optimization.

2 Developing a mold-free approach for complex glulam production with the assist of computer vision technologies
توسعه یک رویکرد بدون قالب برای تولید پیچیده گلولام با کمک فناوری های بینایی ماشین-2021
With the increasing use of glulam in construction industry, low efficiency of material and time in complex glulam production process has been widely recognized. While single curved glulam components are normally achieved with the aid of heavy molds, double curved ones are difficult to be produced directly without massive subtractive fabrication. In this context, a mold-free approach for complex glulam production is proposed, which consists of a mechanical system that spatially shapes the curved beam, and a vision system to inform the fabrication directly with design model. Through the integration of digital design, simulation and physical process, different types of curved glulam could be produced following the same workflow. This approach could eliminate the use of complex molds in curved glulam production, greatly reduce wastes in post-processing process. With the feasibility initially verified through fabrication experiments, the system will be further developed so as to be transferred to industrial practice.

3 Sustainable supply chain design considering indicators of value creation
طراحی پایدار زنجیره تأمین با در نظر گرفتن شاخص های ارزش آفرینی-2021
The growing concern about environmental and social impacts resulting from industrial activities has rethought the problem of supply chain design, in which the environmental and social pillars must be considered in the design process. Although the optimization of economic performance has been the main objective on the design of supply chains, the integration of financial indicators into design models has not been widely developed. This article proposes a mathematical programming model for the design of a sustainable supply chain. The objective function of the proposed model is the maximization of the market value added as a measure of the accumulated economic performance. The formulation includes the application of weighted raw material, transportation, and production costs to correctly calculate the cost of goods sold, a feature widely ignored in the literature. Regarding the social dimension, the installation of plants and distribution centers in regions with low human development index is promoted, and in the environmental dimension, the equivalent tons of carbon dioxide emitted by the land transportation of goods are restricted. An optimization-based primal heuristic is used as a solution strategy for the resulting mixed integer non-linear programming model. Finally, the proposed model is applied to a case study, which demonstrates the importance of considering sustainability for supply chain configuration.

4 Costs of resilience and disruptions in supply chain network design models: A review and future research directions
هزینه های انعطاف پذیری و اختلالات در مدل های طراحی شبکه زنجیره تامین: یک مرور و دستورالعمل های آینده تحقیق-2021
Supply chain network design (SCND) is a key strategic decision in supply chain management (SCM). One particular area of SCND is concerned with disruption risk modelling. This paper presents a systematic literature review of quantitative models of SCND under disruption risks in industrial SCM and logistics. More specifically, our analysis is focused on different costs induced by the planning of proactive investments in robustness and through parametrical/structural adaptation at the recovery stage. This review can be of value for researchers and decision-makers alike for several reasons. First, we categorise the existing knowledge based on decision-making problems, which can be instructive for a convenient association of a particular SCND problem to a modelling domain according to network-wise, supply-side and demand-side perspectives. Second, our analysis focuses on the costs specifically induced by disruption risks and resilience investments. Third, we offer a dedicated section related to disruption probability formulation methods and their impact on resilience costs. Fourth, the integration of different SCM dimensions (i.e., social impact, environmental impact, responsiveness, and risk- aversion) and the associated multi-objective modelling settings are discussed along with disruption risks in SCND models. Finally, we summarize our findings as insights from a managerial perspective. Drawbacks and missing aspects in the related literature are highlighted, and we lay out several research directions and open questions for future research.

5 Unpacking the role of primary packaging material in designing green supply chains: An integrated approach
Unpacking the role of primary packaging material in designing green supply chains: An integrated approach-2021
Due to the adverse impact of packaging materials on several ecosystems, the circular and sustainable approaches to manage packaging waste have been receiving increasing attention worldwide. Plastic pails are widely used primary packaging materials that are cost-effective, lightweight, yet long-lasting. In the present study, we pro- pose a closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) network design model to jointly optimize the decisions related to the location of collection, sorting, and recycling centers, and the quantity of plastic pales to be recycled and/or freshly produced and distributed. The proposed model is augmented with an incentive mechanism to acquire used plastic pails from customers as well as a green supplier selection procedure. In addition to the traditional objective of profit maximization, the proposed model also minimizes carbon emission, maximizes the return of used plastic pails, and prioritize suppliers for the procurement of sustainable packaging raw materials. A set of non-dominated solutions to the proposed multi-objective model are obtained using the Augmented ε-constraint method (AUGMECON). The results of AUGMECON are also compared with other methods such as weighted sum method and Augmented Tchebycheff method. It is oberseved that AUGMECON produces diverse set of pareto- optimal solutions for the considered problem. The applicability of the model is explained using an illustrative example of an adhesive manufacturer in India. Further, several managerial insights are drawn by carrying out sensitivity analysis through scenario building.

6 Security-aware multi-objective optimization of distributed reconfigurable embedded systems
بهینه سازی چند هدفه امنیت آگاه سیستم های جاسازی شده قابل تنظیم مجدد توزیع شده-2019
Distributed embedded systems are increasingly prevalent in numerous applications, and with pervasive network access within these systems, security is also a critical design concern. We present a modeling and optimization framework for distributed embedded systems incorporating heterogeneous resources, including single core processor, asymmetric multicore processors, and FPGAs. A dataflow-based modeling framework for streaming applications integrates models for computational latency, cryptographic security levels, communication latency, and power consumption. We utilize a multi-objective genetic optimization algorithm to optimize security subject to constraints for energy consumption and minimum security level. The presented methodology is evaluated using a video-based object detection and tracking application considering several distributed heterogeneous embedded systems architectures.

8 Decision based on big data research for non-small cell lung cancer in medical artificial system in developing country
تصمیم گیری بر اساس تحقیقات داده های بزرگ برای سرطان ریه های غیر سلولی در سیستم های پزشکی مصنوعی در کشورهای در حال توسعه-2018
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a high risk cancer and is usually scanned by PET–CT for testing, predicting and then give the treatment methods. However, in the actual hospital system, at least 640 images must be generated for each patient through PET–CT scanning. Especially in developing countries, a huge number of patients in NSCLC are attended by doctors. Artificial system can predict and make decision rapidly. According to explore and research artificial medical system, the selection of artificial ob servations also can result in low work efficiency for doctors. In this study, data information of 2,789,675 patients in three hospitals in China are collected, compiled, and used as the research basis; these data are obtained through image acquisition and diagnostic parameter machine decision-making method on the basis of the machine diagnosis and medical system design model of adjuvant therapy. By combin ing image and diagnostic parameters, the machine decision diagnosis auxiliary algorithm is established. Experimental result shows that the accuracy has reached 77% in NSCLC.

9 Supply chain design for efficient and effective blood supply in disasters
طراحی زنجیره تامین برای تامین خون کارآمد و موثر در حوادث-2017
The emergency supply of blood in natural and anthropogenic disasters has proved challenging. This article presents a stochastic bi-objective supply chain design model for the efficient (cost minimizing) and effective (delivery time minimizing) supply of blood in disasters. The blood supply network under investigation is comprised of blood donors, mobile blood facilities, local and regional blood centers and demand points. A hybrid solution approach, combining the ε-constraint and Lagrangian relaxation methods, is developed to solve the proposed model. Our numerical experiments and subsequent dis cussions focus on (1) investigating the utility of the proposed model in solving different size problems, (2) exploring possible tradeoffs between supply chain cost and delivery time, (3) identifying the areas along the supply chain where investments can be made to improve supply chain efficiency and effec tiveness and (4) performance benchmarking of the proposed stochastic programming approach.

10 Integrated forward and reverse supply chain: A tire case study
زنجیره تامین یکپارچه رو به جلو و معکوس: مطالعه موردی تایر-2017
This paper attempts to integrate both a forward and reverse supply chain to design a closed-loop supply chain network (CLSC). The problem in the design of a CLSC network is uncertainty in demand, return products and the quality of return products. Scenario analyses are generated to overcome this uncertainty. In contrast to the existing supply chain network design models, a new application of a CLSC network was studied in this paper to reduce waste. A multi-product, multi-tier mixed integer linear model is developed for a CLSC network design. The main objective is to maximize profit and provide waste management decision support in order to minimize pollution. The result shows applicability of the model in the tire industry. The model determines the number and the locations of facilities and the material flows between these facilities.
