Assisted development process for model-based systems engineering
فرآیند توسعه کمکی برای مهندسی سیستم های مبتنی بر مدل-2021 The system development process is becoming increasingly complex as the systems themselves become more and more complex. At the same time, the various disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software engineering are becoming increasingly intermixed, so that companies in one discipline are experiencing leaps and bounds in the complexity of their systems and their development. For this reason, this publication presents a concept of a virtual assistant that leads through a development phase. It shows that the software supporting the development needs an information model to store the data of the developed system and to connect it with the existing knowledge. This knowledge can either be available internally or on the web. The development process should therefore support cooperation so that the assistance software and engineers interact with each other.

Offsite construction supply chain strategies for matching affordable rental housing demand: A system dynamics approach

These factors include lengthy construction and planning process. The affordability crisis affects the housing rental sector, which accommodates more than 20 % of Australian household. This research developed a system dynamics model to simulate demography-linked affordable rental housing demand and supply in South East Queensland (SEQ). A Prefabricated Offsite Construction (OSC) housing supply strategy is compared with a traditional building approach (BAU) to investigate the effectiveness of OSC techniques to reduce informational asymmetries during development planning stages to deliver better affordable rental housing is linked to housing needs in SEQ. The model focuses on demographic groups housing demand of one, two- and three-bedroom apartment units and examines how reductions in the development process, through OSC methods, influence the efficiency of Government supported affordable rental housing supply schemes. Overall, the study finds that reduced planning and construction timeframes through OSC methods may improve demography-linked rental housing supply by approximately 6.6 % overall compared to BAU in SEQ. For 1,2- and 3-bedroom apartment demand, OSC strategies are expected to improve supply efficiency by 8.7 %, 8.4 % and 9.2 %, respectively. Optimal OSC strategies were assessed and found that flexibility in development sizes have an outsized positive effect. The study has implications for Government supported affordable rental housing strategies, including the build to rent sector. Synthesizing researches on Knowledge Management and Agile Software Development using the Meta-ethnography method

Context: Software development processes are considered as knowledge intensive and therefore Knowledge Management (KM) can be applied to efficiently manage the knowledge generated. Agile practices
can benefit software organizations in terms of KM. Some studies have already presented evidence about
this relationship. However, the intersection of these two areas still requires further clarification.
Objective: This study synthesizes research on KM and Agile Software Development (ASD) using the meta-ethnography method considering Scrum and XP frameworks. Method: In order to achieve the proposed goal, first, a diagnostic was conducted in different project domains with agile and traditional software development in order to identify the performance of KM activities. Second, the phases of the meta-ethnography analysis method were applied in a set of studies selected from a tertiary review on KM and ASD, as well as classic guides and area references. Finally, the relationships that were identified among the areas investigated were analyzed from interviews with agile development methodology experts. Results: The most common activity investigated between KM and ASD is knowledge sharing. However, in the practical view of software development companies, the attention is on how to use the generated knowledge. Conclusion: The clarification of how KM is present in each agile value, practices, and artifacts allows a reflection on how much knowledge was created, shared, and applied during ASD. Lessons Learned About Autonomous AI: Finding a Safe, Efficacious, and Ethical Path Through the Development Process

rigorously validated medical diagnostic AI systems hold
great promise for improving access to care, increasing accuracy,
and lowering cost, while enabling specialist physicians
to provide the greatest value by managing and
treating patients whose outcomes can be improved.
Ensuring that autonomous AI provides these benefits requires
evaluation of the autonomous AI’s effect on patient
outcome, design, validation, data usage, and
accountability, from a bioethics and accountability
perspective. We performed a literature review of bioethical
principles for AI, and derived evaluation rules for
autonomous AI, grounded in bioethical principles. The
rules include patient outcome, validation, reference standard,
design, data usage, and accountability for medical liability.
Application of the rules explains successful US
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) de novo authorization
of an example, the first autonomous point-of-care
diabetic retinopathy examination de novo authorized by
the FDA, after a preregistered clinical trial. Physicians
need to become competent in understanding the potential
risks and benefits of autonomous AI, and understand its
design, safety, efficacy and equity, validation, and liability,
as well as how its data were obtained. The autonomous
AI evaluation rules introduced here can help
physicians understand limitations and risks as well as
the potential benefits of autonomous AI for their

Chronographical spatiotemporal dynamic 4D planning
برنامه ریزی پویا مکانی 4D فضایی و زمانی-2020 Originally, BIM models were developed for design perspectives only. Over the past two decades, several research
works, methods and software have been developed to combine the 3D digital model of BIM (building information
modeling) to the construction activities in order to simulate a 4D simulation of the project construction
process. The fourth dimension is time. The simulation shows the work sequences with the aim of
correcting planning errors, execution conflicts and serving as an aid in optimizing the worksite. The time dimension
was added by integrating the Gantt/Precedence diagram into the simulation. Despite its almost exclusive
popularity, this method hardly represents the spatial management of the site, the occupancy rate and the
circulation of people and materials. For that, the 4D modeling process was quite demanding in terms of time and
effort with several rounds back and forth between the BIM model and the schedule.
The Chronographic modeling, a space planning method has the ability to alternate between visual representations
approaches using a set of graphical parameters. Each approach can help to model adapted schedules
for different project types and specialties, shows valuable information in a clear and comprehensible
manner and facilitate solving construction site problems visually. The aim of this paper is to present a communication
strategy between the 3D-BIM model, the Chronographical modeling and the 4D simulation. The
development process consists of four steps. The first step is to define the numerical parameters to adapt the
model to the space management. The second step serves to develop a communication strategy and tool. The third
step presents the Chronological scheduling process and the last step was the validation of the results through the
simulation. The obtained result demonstrates the validity of the proposed solution by integrating the spatial
management to the 4D simulation. Future work could integrate supply management and or apply the solution to

Safety informatics as a new, promising and sustainable area of safety science in the information age

protection, sustainability, and cleaner production. In the information age, especially in the era of big data,
safety information is an essential strategy for safety, and safety informatics has become a major research
interest and a popular issue in the field of safety science. In recent years, safety informaticsda new area
of safety sciencedhas received increasing attention, developing greatly with successful research on the
subject. The three key purposes of this paper are: (i) to analyze the historical development of safety
informatics, (ii) to review the research progress of safety informatics, and (iii) to review limitations and
propose future directions in the field of safety informatics. First, the development process of safety
informatics is divided into four typical stages: (i) the embryonic stage (1940e1980), (ii) the initial stage
(1980e1990), (iii) the formation stage (1990e2010), and (iv) the deepening stage (2010epresent). Then,
a review of safety informatics research is provided from seven aspects, including: (i) the discipline
construction of safety informatics, (ii) theoretical safety information model, (iii) accident causation
model from a safety information perspective, (iv) safety management based on safety information, (v)
safety big data, (vi) safety intelligence, and (vii) safety information technology. Finally, limitations and

How do fishery resources enhance the development of coastal fishing communities: Lessons learned from a community-based sea farming project in Taiwan

enhance fisheries productivity. Developing sea farming could contribute to the transformation of capture fisheries;
it integrates the concept of Blue Economy into sustainable economic development so as to improve economic
activities in fishing communities. In line with this, the Taiwan government launched the Community-
Based Sea Farming (CBSF) project in 2015. The CBSF project aims to establish sea farming zones to help fishing
communities achieve sustainable development. In this paper, the development process of sea farming and site
selection of the CBSF project were described and the needs of local people in fishing communities around seafarming
demonstration zones were also assessed. According to findings, a framework for sea farming development
is proposed. In this framework, several new sea farming-based industries can serve as the driving force to
accelerate the development of fishing communities. The driving forces include developing a community-based
tourism recreational industry, strengthening localized marketing of featured seafood products, combining
local ecological landscapes and cultures of the fishing village to develop recreational fishery activities, and
integrating seafood products with recreational tourism activities. Overall, CBSF are important tasks that warrant
continuous attention for enhancing the fishing community development. The experiences and framework of
promoting the Taiwan CBSF project would provide beneficial information and foundation for decision makers

Blockchain-based framework for improving supply chain traceability and information sharing in precast construction

methods in the industry. However, current precast supply chain management often faces challenges such as
fragmentation, poor traceability, and lack of real-time information. To address these challenges, this study builds
a novel blockchain-based information management framework for a precast supply chain, which extends the
applications of blockchain in the domain of construction supply chains. In this study, a blockchain framework
and its development processes are presented in detail, and algorithms for smart contracts are developed for the
model implementation. Finally, the performance of this framework is validated with a case study in which a
visualization system is presented to achieve (1) information sharing management, (2) real-time control of
scheduling, and (3) information traceability. The results suggest that the proposed framework facilitates the ontime
delivery of precast components (PCs) and tracks the reasons for disputes centered on PCs in the precast
