1 Equivalence Checking of Quantum Circuits With the ZX-Calculus
بررسی هم ارزی مدارهای کوانتومی با ZX-calculus-2022
As state-of-the-art quantum computers are capable of running increasingly complex algorithms, the need for automated methods to design and test potential applications rises. Equivalence checking of quantum circuits is an important, yet hardly automated, task in the development of the quantum software stack. Recently, new methods have been proposed that tackle this problem from widely different perspectives. One of them is based on the ZX-calculus, a graphical rewriting system for quantum computing. However, the power and capability of this equivalence checking method has barely been explored. The aim of this work is to evaluate the ZX-calculus as a tool for equivalence checking of quantum circuits. To this end, it is demonstrated how the ZX-calculus based approach for equivalence checking can be expanded in order to verify the results of compilation flows and optimizations on quantum circuits. It is also shown that the ZX-calculus based method is not complete—especially for quantum circuits with ancillary qubits. In order to properly evaluate the proposed method, we conduct a detailed case study by comparing it to two other state-of-the-art methods for equivalence checking: one based on path-sums and another based on decision diagrams. The proposed methods have been integrated into the publicly available QCEC tool (https://github.com/cda-tum/qcec) which is part of the Munich Quantum Toolkit (MQT).

2 FogAI: An AI-supported fog controller for Next Generation IoT
FogAI: یک کنترلر مه با پشتیبانی از هوش مصنوعی برای نسل بعدی اینترنت اشیا-2022
In this paper, we present a novel artificial intelligence-based fog controller, called FogAI that provides a versatile control mechanism to the fog layer. FogAI not only abstracts the control mechanism from the fog environment but also offers potential solutions for the problems of fog-based Next Generation Internet of Things (NGIoT) systems. To this end, we first present a comprehensive examination of challenging issues in Fog Computing (FC). Then, we outline possible FogAI based solutions to these challenges from different perspectives. To illustrate the feasibility of our FogAI concept, we design a use case scenario for task offloading problem in FC. Then, we propose a Deep Q-Learning (DQL) algorithm that autonomously performs task offloading in delay-sensitive and computationally-intensive IoT applications and test it on FogAI. The results show that the proposed FogAI-assisted DQL algorithm is superior to existing offloading policies.

3 Periphery and centre in comparative perspective: Opportunities for accounting praxis
پیرامون و مرکز در دیدگاه تطبیقی: فرصت‌هایی برای عمل حسابداری-2021
In their paper On the Centrality of Peripheral Research and the Dangers of Tight Boundary Objects, the authors call for a more ambitious accounting research programme. However, their call whilst is difficult is also perhaps hard to pin down. The article needs to be disseminated and debated, because it crystalizes for accounting research a fundamental moral position in knowledge production within a liberal capitalist society. As such. Different perspectives and indeed voices should be included and a certain egalitarianism sponsored. In a liberal capitalist society this is a good in itself (Rawls, 2009; Appiah, 2017). Surely many would argue this is the role indeed the essence of the University? We readily take up the paper’s invitation and are gratified by the professionalism and commitment of the authors. Accounting scholarship, like all parts of liberal capitalist society, requires constant vigilance and reform to approximate these liberal ideas of voice, inclusion, and equal participation. However, the paper is not merely for a liberal position ought to be. Rather the authors also insist that including voices from the periphery will lead to better scholarship. In other words, they argue that peripheral research possesses an intrinsic characteristic that can alter and improve accounting research. In this reply, we will set aside what makes it hard to resist – its appeal to a level playing field, fairness, inclusion, voice – and try to isolate this stronger claim if not for the superiority of peripheral scholarship, then at least for its salutary effects on central scholarship.

4 Change point analysis on the Corinth Gulf (Greece) seismicity
تجزیه و تحلیل نقطه تغییر در لرزه نگاری خلیج Corinth (یونان) -2020
Change point analysis is performed on the seismicity in Gulf of Corinth (Greece), an extensional graben which constitutes one of the most seismically active areas in Greece. Seismicity appears intense and strongly clustered and therefore analysis on mean and variance is appropriate. Sample autocorrelation function of the data is non-zero even for bigger lags, indicating long-range correlations. This phenomenon can be justified by possible changes in the mean of the observations. Non-parametric multiple change point analysis is applied to both the sequence of the earthquakes from a set of observations and its detrended data considering the earthquake occurrence frequency. The results of the analysis on the initial data set are compared to those of its detrended residuals. This procedure employs both online and offline methods providing different perspectives. Promising patterns are defined offline and most of them are detectable online.

5 IFC-based process mining for design authoring
استخراج فرآیند مبتنی بر IFC برای تألیف طراحی-2020
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is defined as the process of creation and management of digital replica for building products in a collaborative design set-up. On this basis, BIM as a digital collaboration platform in AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operation) industry, can be upgraded to assist monitoring, control and improvement of the business processes related to planning, design, construction and operation of building facilities. The main problem in this regard, is the wastage of data related to activities completed by different actors during the project; and subsequently, the lack of analytics to discover latent patterns in collaboration and execution of such processes. The present study aims to enable BIM to capture digital footprints of project actors and create event logs for design authoring phase of building projects. This is done using files in IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) format, archived during the design process. We have developed algorithms to create event logs from such archives, and analyzed the event logs using process mining (i.e. process discovery, conformance checking and bottleneck analysis), to identify measures derived from as-happened processes. BIM managers can implement such measures in monitoring, controlling and re-engineering work processes related to design authoring. Two case studies were completed to validate and verify the products and findings of the research. Our results show that process models discovered/fine-tuned at various resolutions and from different perspectives (including ‘actor-centric’ and ‘phase-centric’ views) can provide a realistic view of the BIM project execution. This includes understanding the structure of collaboration and hand-over of work; evaluation of compliance with the BIM execution plan; and detection of bottlenecks and re-works. While the scope of the study has been limited to design authoring processes, this mindset can be extended to other BIM uses, and other phases (such as construction and operation) of building projects. Given the growing efforts on upgrading BIM to capture and formalize the lifecycle data on the products, processes and actors, this study can strongly support BIM managers with documentation and evaluation of the business processes and workflows in their project teams.

6 Automated pig counting using deep learning
شمارش خودکار خوک با استفاده از یادگیری عمیق-2019
Pig counting is one of the most critical topics in farming management and asset estimation. Due to its complexity, traditional agriculture method relies on manual counting, which is obviously inefficient and a waste of manpower. The challenging aspects like partial occlusion, overlapping and different perspectives even limit the usage of traditional computer vision techniques. In recent years, deep learning has become more and more popular for computer vision applications, because of its superior performance comparing to traditional methods. In this paper, we propose a deep learning solution to address the pig counting problem. We present a modified Counting Convolutional Neural Network (Counting CNN) model according to the structure of ResNeXt, and tune a series of experimental parameters. Our CNN model learns the mapping from the image feature to the density map, and obtains the total number of pigs in the entire image by integrating the density map. In order to validate the efficacy of our proposed method, we conduct experiments on a real-world dataset collected from actual piggery farming with 15 pigs in an image averagely. We achieve 1.67 Mean Absolute Error (MAE) per image and outperforms the competing algorithms, which strongly demonstrates that our proposed method can accurately estimate the number of pigs even if they are partially occluded in different perspectives. The detection speed, 42 ms per image, meets the requirements of agricultural application. We share our code and the first pig dataset we collected for pig counting at https://github.com/xixiareone/counting-pigs for livestock husbandry and science research community.

8 Agricultural entrepreneurship: Going back to the basics
کارآفرینی کشاورزی: بازگشت به اصول اولیه-2019
Through a Systematic Literature Review, this study aims to analyse how the research in agricultural entrepreneurship is approached in the period until 2012 and compare it with the period 2013–2017, which was found by Dias et al. (2019). This comparison allows identifying which research topics are underlined in each period as well as examine different perspectives on the same topic in both periods. Based on articles from the Scopus database, this review identifies two main thematic areas in the period until 2012: “Entrepreneurial Skills and Income Sources”; and “Market and Resources”. Researchers state that farmers can be considered as entrepreneurs and as decision-makers who aim to maximize profits, developing various typologies of agricultural diversification, although conclude that entrepreneurial skills required for diversified farming are different from the ones required in conventional farming. Attending to the increasingly liberalisation of agricultural markets, the literature also focuses on the ways how farmers had recombined existing farm resources into new uses namely land, human, financial and natural resources. In both periods, we conclude that entrepreneurial skills are underlined but, in the period 2013–2017, new research topics were introduced.

9 Implicit aspect extraction in sentiment analysis: Review, taxonomy, oppportunities, and open challenges
استخراج ضمنی جنبه در تحلیل احساسات: مرور، طبقه بندی، فرصت ها و چالش های باز-2018
Sentiment analysis is a text classification branch, which is defined as the process of extracting sentiment terms (i.e. feature/aspect, or opinion) and determining their opinion semantic orientation. At aspect level, aspect extraction is the core task for sentiment analysis which can either be implicit or explicit aspects. The growth of sentiment analysis has resulted in the emergence of various techniques for both explicit and implicit aspect extraction. However, majority of the research attempts targeted explicit aspect extraction, which indicates that there is a lack of research on implicit aspect extraction. This research provides a review of implicit aspect/features extraction techniques from different perspectives. The first perspective is making a comparison analysis for the techniques available for implicit term extraction with a brief summary of each technique. The second perspective is classifying and comparing the performance, datasets, language used, and shortcomings of the available techniques. In this study, over 50 articles have been reviewed, however, only 45 articles on implicit aspect extraction that span from 2005 to 2016 were analyzed and discussed. Majority of the researchers on implicit aspects extraction rely heavily on unsupervised methods in their research, which makes about 64% of the 45 articles, followed by supervised methods of about 27%, and lastly semi-supervised of 9%. In addition, 25 articles conducted the research work solely on product reviews, and 5 articles conducted their research work using product reviews jointly with other types of data, which makes product review datasets the most frequently used data type compared to other types. Furthermore, research on implicit aspect features extraction has focused on English and Chinese languages compared to other languages. Finally, this review also provides recommendations for future research directions and open problems.

10 Questioner or question: Predicting the response rate in social question and answering on Sina Weibo
سوال کننده و سوال: پیش بینی نرخ پاسخ در سوال و جواب اجتماعی روی وب سینا-2018
With the noted popularity of social networking sites, people increasingly rely on these social networks to address their information needs. Although social question and answering is potentially an important venue seeking information online, it, unfortunately, suffers from a problem of low response rate, with the majority of questions receiving no response. To understand why the response rate of social question and answering is low and hopefully to increase it in the future, this research analyzes extrinsic factors that may influence the response probability of questions posted on Sina Weibo. We propose 17 influential factors from 2 different perspectives: the content of the question, and the characteristics of the questioner. We also train a prediction model to forecast a questions likelihood of being responded based on the proposed features We test our predictive model on more than 60,000 real-world questions posted on Weibo, which generate more than 600,000 responses. Findings show that a Weibos question answerability is primarily contingent on the questioner versus the question. Our findings indicate that using appreciation emojis can increase a questions response probability, whereas the use of hashtags negatively influences the chances of receiving answers. Our contribution is in providing insights for the design and development of future social question and answering tools, as well as for enhancing social network users’ collaboration in supporting social information seeking activities.
