Integrating corporate website information into qualitative assessment for benchmarking green supply chain management practices for the chemical industry
ادغام اطلاعات وب سایت شرکت ها در ارزیابی کیفی برای محک زدن شیوه های مدیریت زنجیره تامین سبز برای صنایع شیمیایی-2021 The China’s chemical industry has been endeavoring to promote sustainable development through practicing green supply chain management (GSCM). This paper proposes a multi-criteria decision framework with twenty practices to guide companies in the industry to enact GSCM effectively. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) has been used to cluster the proposed practices. We found five aspects, including economic initiatives, environmental management, eco-design, resource recycling, and stakeholder and employee, constitute the underlying structure of GSCM. A mixed decision tool combining the entropy weight method (EWM) and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been developed and applied to identify key factors. Official website information has been collected and used to analyse the website contents of five benchmarking companies in the China’s chemical industry. The results reveal that the aspects of environmental management, eco-design and resource recycling are the most important GSCM themes. Moreover, the top five practices are top management support, performing life cycle assessment, managing environmental risks, advancing recycling technologies and integrating reverse logistics. Conceptual and practical implications are discussed. Keywords: Environmental management | Eco-design | Resource recycling | Entropy weight | Analytic hierarchy process | Decision analysis |

Green supply chain management practices and third-party logistics providers’ performances: A fuzzy-set approach
عملکردهای مدیریت زنجیره تامین سبز و عملکرد ارائه دهندگان تدارکات شخص ثالث: یک رویکرد مجموعه ای فازی-2021 Drawing on the natural resource-based view and coordination theory, this study examines the extent to which different combinations of internal and external green supply chain management (GSCM) practices influence third-party logistics providers’ (TPLs) operational and financial performances. A fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis of survey data from 232 TPLs shows that combined internal and external GSCM practices improve both operational and financial performances. However, taking into account the TPLs’ size allows alternative combinations of GSCM practices: a combination of green supply and eco-design packaging improves small TPLs’ performances, whereas a combination of all GSCM practices, except investment recovery and reverse logistics, improves large TPLs’ performances. By using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis instead of traditional linear methodologies, this study offers a new approach to determine the configurations of internal and external GSCM practices that lead to enhanced operational and financial performances in TPLs, rather than treating each GSCM practice separately. Eco-design teaching initiative within a manufacturing company based on LCA analysis of company product portfolio
ابتکار آموزش طراحی سازگار با محیط زیست در یک شرکت تولید کننده بر اساس تجزیه و تحلیل LCA از سبد محصولات شرکت-2020 Eco-design is the integration of environmental considerations within product design and development.
Eco-design represents an important innovation driver for companies; however, well-known barriers
limit the diffusion of this design paradigm in the industrial world. Amongst these, lack of eco-knowledge
is correlated to the adopted eco-design teaching methods. Previous experience has highlighted that
traditional teaching methods such as university lectures or refresher courses are not an effective means
for disseminating eco-design knowledge in the industrial world.
In this context, the present paper proposes a novel eco-design teaching method based on a transformative
strategy for promoting eco-design and facilitating the learning process.
This approach, tested in collaboration with an Italian manufacturing firm, is considered the first
attempt to implement a repeatable eco-design teaching approach that can be scaled up in different
industrial contexts. Several company departments, including management, marketing and commercial
affairs, design and engineering, and a testing laboratory were involved in the training program. Technical
results show that company employees were able to autonomously implement re-design solutions and
improve the environmental performance of a coffee machine upon completion of the course. The
quantitative evaluation of formative outcomes through assessment before and after the course highlights
a significant increase in the awareness of personnel and knowledge relating to eco-design. Keywords: Teaching | Eco-design | Life cycle assessment | Eco-knowledge | Product portfolio |

Contemporary corporate eco-innovation research: A systematic review
تحقیقات علمی شرکت نوآوری معاصر:: بررسی سیستماتیک -2018 Interest in eco-innovation in the corporate environment has grown considerably in recent years. Given
the profound role of eco-innovation, it is therefore important to obtain a better understanding on the
latest research progress in the academia and the recent organizational efforts in practice. This review
paper addresses this need and contributes to the current literature in three ways. First, this paper pre
sents a descriptive overview on eco-innovation in the corporate environment by examining 395
representative articles published from 2006 to 2015, collected from the Social Citation Index Expanded
and Social Sciences Citation Index databases. The characteristics of the terminologies and journals,
prevailing themes and changes, the geographical location of prolific authors and main geographical
context of research studies in eco-innovation are identified to unravel the evolution of the concerned
research studies and institutional contexts. Second, by using co-word and social network analyses, this
study finds that the current literature on eco-innovation in the corporate environment is mainly focused
on nine areas, including the influence of stakeholders, drivers of eco-innovation, eco-innovation systems,
eco-design, new product developments, product service systems, environmental management systems,
green supply chain management, and performance & small medium enterprises (SMEs). Third,
this study provides an extended conceptual framework that incorporates the notion of ‘driv
er/source/position/performance’ (D/S/P/P) to find the relationships among the research topics
in the eco-innovation field. This framework allows examination of the overall strategies for eco
innovation in the corporate environment so that a firm can gain a competitive edge through their
adoption, implementation, assessment, and investment. This systematic review will benefit practitioners
and academics by providing the major strands of research in the current studies on eco-innovation. This
study also provides insights into four distinctive features of eco-innovation in the corporate environment
as well as research gaps of recent eco-innovation studies. This study thus provides future research di
rections for subsequent eco-innovation research, as well as insights for managers and policy makers on
how to enhance and strategize strategies for eco-innovation in the corporate environment.

Green supply chain management practices: Multiple case studies in the Brazilian home appliance industry
شیوه های مدیریت زنجیره تامین: مطالعات موردی چند در صنعت لوازم خانگی برزیلی-2017 Leading manufacturers in developed countries generally implement green practices and have high levels
of environmental awareness. However, it is uncertain which practices are implemented and how they are
implemented in the home appliance sector of emerging countries such as Brazil. The purpose of this
study is to identify and analyze the practices of green supply chain management adopted by home
appliance manufacturers. To analyze green practices in this industry, 5 manufacturers and 2 professional
associations were used as case studies; this approach provided in-depth interviews about internal
environmental management, reverse logistics, green purchasing, eco-design, life cycle assessment, waste
management, and green manufacturing. Waste management was the most widely used technique among
the research participants, and green purchasing and life cycle assessment practices were less widespread.
Significant differences in the adoption of certain green supply chain management (GSCM) dimensions
were observed between companies with ISO 14001 certification and non-certified companies. Sugges
tions for further developing GSCM in the home appliance industry are also presented.
