1 The impact of more frequent portfolio disclosure on mutual fund performance
تاثیر افشای متناوب تر دارایی روی عملکرد سرمایه ای دوطرفه-2018
This paper analyzes the impact of more frequent portfolio disclosures on performance of mutual funds. Since 2004, SEC requires all U.S. mutual funds to disclose their portfolio holdings on a quarterly basis from semi-annual previously. This change in regulation provides a natural setting to study the impact of frequency of disclosure on performance of mutual funds. Prior to the policy change, we find that successful semi-annual funds outperform successful quarterly funds by 17–20 basis points a month. After 2004, their performance goes down and they no longer outperform successful quarterly funds. This reduction in performance is higher for semi-annual funds holding illiquid assets. These results support our hypothesis that the performance of funds with more frequent disclosure, particularly of those holding illiquid assets, suffer more from front running activities. We also find complementary evidence that the profitability of a hypothetical front running strategy based on public disclosures goes up with the frequency of portfolio disclosures.

2 The economics of attitudes: A different approach to utility functions of players in tourism marketing coalitional networks
اقتصادهای برخوردها: یک دیدگاه متفاوت برای توابع استفاده بازیگران در شبکه های ائتلافی بازاریابی گردشگری-2018
The foundation of destination collaboration is based on the interdependency of the organizations involved in producing destination products. The high rate of destination collaboration failure underscores the need for conflict studies. Unlike previous studies, which depend solely on the collaboration monetary values, this study proposes a new approach to define its utility functions based on the attitudinal and motivational values. We employ the network theory to define the utility function of four major players and the game theory to examine three distribution solutions of coalitional activities values. The results support the notion of “free riders” mentioned in collaboration studies and explains why free riding is a natural phenomenon in tourism destinations’ marketing activities. The findings suggest that individual entities and hospitality are the two players with the highest admission fee and the least contribution. We suggest the concepts of fairness and stability to be considered in incentive policies to encourage collaboration among higher admission players.

3 Consumer free riding: Coordinating sales effort in a dual-channel supply chain
سواری رایگان مصرف کننده: هماهنگ سازی تلاش فروش در زنجیره تامین دو کانال-2017
The Internet and e-commerce has allowed manufacturers to approach consumers directly, and has chan ged the structure of most supply chains from a single to a dual channel. Consumers can now shop for a product in an offline store and purchase it online at a lower price. This study considers the effects of free riding on sales effort in a dual-channel supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one offline store. The results show that under deterministic demand, both the offline store’s sales effort level and the dual channel supply chain’s profit are lower in the decentralized setting than in the centralized setting, and both decrease as the number of free-riding consumers increase. Finally, this paper proposes and analyzes a cost-sharing contract to coordinate a decentralized dual-channel supply chain to achieve beneficial out comes for both parties. An extensive numerical study shows that this contract can improve the supply chain’s efficiency under stochastic demand.
