1 Multifactor door locking systems: A review

Security has become very important, but along with that, people also need a system that is not very expensive and can be customized to meet our needs. As conventional door locks can be easily opened, this makes people vulnerable to security threats. This study attempts a comparative analysis of pre- existing researches, made in the field of security control system developed and improvised over the span of time with multifactor authentication technique’s evolvement. The components, hardware complications, work efficiency and algorithms used in each of the model is drawn as a comparison to other to pro- vide an idea of systematic development in this regard. With each passing day, security systems are advancing and new technology is being developed. Security systems or door locking mechanics have evolved from metallic door locks of primitive type keys, to advanced controlling structure with up to four or five step authentications to ensure utmost safety.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 2 Ear biometric for personal identification using canny edge detection algorithm and contour tracking method

This paper is based on Human ear recognition in a new biometric technology by attracting the interest of biometrics community. 3 Development of keyless biometric authenticated vehicles ignition system
توسعه سیستم احتراق خودروهای بیومتریک بدون کلید صحت نگاری شده-2021
The vehicles are started or ignited using manual keys or sensor based keys. In two wheelers after placing keys the bike is started using either button or kicking method. The other vehicles are started using key cranking or key is placed in specific sensor control area and start button is pressed. The existing method makes any one can able to operate the vehicle if they have keys. The proposed method used to operate the vehicles only they are authorized. The authorization key is available in the controller memory. The pro- posed method uses dactylogram scanner to access the vehicles. The scanner scans the finger, if the person is authenticated immediately it allows the person to start the vehicles. The controller is attached with the relay electronic board which controls the ignition part. The proposed method uses ATMEGA 162. The device is able to access the vehicle by 3 persons. Only the specific 3 person finger prints are enrolled in the controller. The system is enabled with GSM access. If unauthenticated person access the finger print scanner, the vehicle is not ignited. The GSM module communicates the unauthenticated access attempt to the owner of the vehicles in the form of SMS. If the device is accessed with authenticated person and the vehicle is successfully started. In the meantime unauthorized person starts access with scanner, immediately message was received in the stored GSM mobile number. The average authentication time to start the vehicle is 3.81 s.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. 4 Design of Low Cost, Energy Efficient, IoT Enabled, Air Quality Monitoring System with Cloud Based Data Logging, Analytics and AI

This paper presents a design of real-time Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS) which incorporates Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing. AQMS utilizes solar panel and battery pack for independent and autonomous operation, thus, making it self-powered and sustainable. AQMS is based on AVR Microcontroller (Atmega32) and GSM modem (Sim900) for connectivity with the cloud application. The design is made low cost and scalable so that around 50nos. of such systems can be installed on roundabouts of market places, residential and industrial areas. The AQMS monitors the air quality with the help of a miniature suction pump (5volt DC) which establishes a controlled and constant stream of air-flow through a manifold that encapsulates electromechanical sensors, thus measuring the concentration of O2, CO, CO2, SO / SO2 (SOx), NO/ NO2 (NOx), Hydrocarbon (CxHx), temperature, humidity and noise. By default, the air sampling is carried out once in an hour which may be changed depending on the change in air quality, i.e. making it adoptive for energy conservation and extending the sensor’s life. The data collected at the cloud application will be processed using data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for getting insights of data (data mining) regarding the potential locations where the emissions are critical and disastrous for environmental, thus, leading to prevent any mishap. The design is mapped over a metropolitan city of Pakistan, i.e. Karachi, thus initiating the transformation of Karachi to a smart city.

5 CE-GMS: A cloud IoT-enabled grocery management system

With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and cyber-physical systems, the multi-disciplinary area of mechatronics has become pervasive in “smart industry.” The infusion of the cloud IoT model to the business processes has broaden the horizon for the grocery business. This study puts forward an innovative design of a retail business model and its implementation, using sensor-based measurement containers (SBMCs) and an Android application, which contributes new ideas for the international community. SBMCs containers are employed in the system to mitigate the pressure related to a cloud IOT-enabled grocery management system (CE-GMS) for the management of necessary household commodities, by sensing their quantities on hand using an ultrasonic sensor. It allows an alert to be generated when the item quantities reach the reorder point. The proposed CE-GMS consists of four automated entities: production units, warehouses, stores and customer sites – all of which are equipped with SBMCs of varying physical capacities. Cloud computing aids the systems to communicate with each other for better coordination. The automated information flow from a customer’s SBMCs is handled by the nearest store. The data in the store’s containers are received by the warehouses, and the data in the warehouse’s SBMCs is sent to the production units. This communication among entities occurs with the support of GPS and GSM modules. The entity which receives information has the responsibility for supplying the necessary commodity products, by sensing the demand of the entity regarding commodity depletion. Further, the articles discusses the locking mechanism in SBMCs, inventory monitoring and container tracking for interaction in CE-GMS to validate the grocery market’s operations using an IoT-compliant layer.

6 A Practical Model for Traffic Forecasting based on Big Data, Machine-learning, and Network KPIs

Traffic forecasting plays an important role in improving network quality and energy saving of mobile networks. In 5G, traffic forecasting directly influences the self-organizing network (SON) in managing and controlling the network effectively. Especially, long-term traffic forecasting can provide a detailed pattern of future traffic, besides permitting more time for planning and optimizing. Most of the traffic forecasting models used the history of traffic, while the utilization of another network KPIs (key performance indicators) for traffic forecasting is limited. Therefore, the authors propose here a practical platform and process for traffic forecasting, based on big data, machinelearning (ML), and network KPIs that are flexible to forecast accurately different statistical traffic characteristics of different types of cells (GSM, 3G, 4G) for both long- and short-term forecasting. The performance of the proposed model was evaluated by applying it to a real dataset that collected KPIs of more than 6000 cells of a real network during the years, 2016 and 2017

7 Reviewing the use of the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) in green supply chain problems
بررسی استفاده از تئوری حل مسئله اختراع (TRIZ) در مشکلات زنجیره تامین سبز-2017
The purpose of the paper is to review the practice of the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) in Green Supply Chain (GSC) problems and to identify new research challenges focusing on the question: “To what extent is it necessary to evolve TRIZ tools, methods and theoretical grounding for addressing GSC inventive problems?” First, a review of the past contributions of TRIZ based methods to GSC problem resolution is presented. As the result of the papers review did not provide a comprehensive under standing of the limitations and areas of potential application of TRIZ in GSC, three experiments were conducted to complete the literature review, in order to provide a more comprehensive answer to the posed question and identify research challenges. The experiments addressing GSC problems were also conducted to explore to what extent the more mature meta-methods of classical TRIZ, namely ARIZ 85 A, C and the related sub-methods, can be used as in GSM problems. The examples were chosen to explore types of GSC problems that were not yet addressed with TRIZ. The experiment results highlight limi tations on the use of the TRIZ in GSC inventive problems, which were not mentioned in the GSC liter ature. Moreover it highlights the limitation of using the more mature meta-methods of TRIZ (ARIZ 85A and ARIZ 85C) when the conflict to overcome contains more than two evaluation parameters and one action parameter. Finally, research challenges to overcome the limitations and to improve the use of TRIZ in GSC inventive problems are stated. Among them, methods for quickly establishing the existence of classical TRIZ contradictions or for informing the problem solver when no TRIZ contradictions are present in a given inventive problem in GSC should be proposed. Such methods would permit determining whether ARIZ 85C could be used and avoid a long and fruitless search for a system of contradictions. Find alternatives to the algorithms proposed in the past to be able to establish the generalized contradictions of inventive problems. Make evolve meta-methods ARIZ 85C or substitute it with methods which can address the inventive problems that cannot be treated by ARIZ 85C.

The requirements of “higher speed, higher capacity of transport, higher degree of safety, higher quality of services, and higher efficiency of operation (five-higher)” have never stopped being pursued in the railway industry [1]. The industry has gone from the mode based on mechanics and electronics to the mode based on informatics in recent years [2]. In many countries, ITs and infrastructures have become core issues for railway transportation systems. For example, China has developed and implemented various kinds of advanced train operation and control systems and other large-scale railway informa tion systems, such as the transportation management information system, the dispatching management information system, the Chinese train control system, and the global system for mobile communication for railways (GSM-R). These information systems have promoted the development of the railway in dustry, such as increasing speed and improving capacity; furthermore, the railway industry seems des tined to move towards the so-called smart railway, facing the five-higher requirement. A smart railway will leverage advanced computing and sensing capabilities to meet the increasing transportation de mands. State-of-the-art ITs (e.g., Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cloud computing) can make the development of the smart railway feasible [3,4].

10 UAV Navigation Using Signals of Opportunity in Urban Environments: An Overview of Existing Methods

With Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) being developed and deployed for an increasing number of applications, it is essential to meet demanding separation assurance and navigation performance requirements, especially considering the current evolutions of the UAS Traffic Management (UTM) research framework. However, in dense urban environments characterized by tall buildings and complex man-made structurs, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is prone to data degradations or complete loss of signal due to multipath effects, interference or antenna obscuration. Furthermore, there is always a risk of jamming and spoofing of GNSS signals, with low cost civilian GNSS receivers being more vulnerable to a spoof attack. Therefore, a number of Signals of Opportunity (SoOP) techniques are being explored to improve the navigation performance when UAS are employed in urban canyons. Electromagnetic signals found in urban environments including analogue/digital radio, analogue/digital television, Wi Fi, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) based signals are considered to model the system performance parameters. Implementation methods for exploiting SoOP such as Angle of Arrival (AOA), Time of Arrival (TOA), Received Signal Strength (RSS) and Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) are introduced and compared. Integration of SoOP techniques in novel low-cost Navigation and Guidance Systems (NGS) is also investigated. As SoOP are not natively intended to be used for navigation purposes, no single source of SoOP for navigation can work in all environments and hence a SoOP source has to be selected based on specific requirements in the considered urban environment. Constraints of power and weight on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) besides hardware and software costs are also factors that are considered when selecting appropriate SoOP signal sources. Therefore, there is a clear opportunity for considerable savings in both infrastructure and energy costs by providing a low-cost and low-volume integrated NGS solution for trusted autonomous aerial operations.
