1 Computer vision for assessing species color pattern variation from web-based community science images
Openly available community science digital vouchers provide a wealth of data to study phenotypic change across space and time. However, extracting phenotypic data from these resources requires significant human effort. Here, we demonstrate a workflow and computer vision model for automatically categorizing species color pattern from community science images. Our work is focused on documenting the striped/unstriped color polymorphism in the Eastern Red-backed Salamander (Plethodon cinereus). We used an ensemble convolutional neural network model to analyze this polymorphism in 20,318 iNaturalist images. Our model was highly accurate (∼98%) despite image heterogeneity. We used the resulting annotations to document extensive niche overlap between morphs, but wider niche breadth for striped morphs at the range-wide scale. Our work showcases key design principles for using machine learning with heterogeneous community science image data to address questions at an unprecedented scale.

2 Multi-Ontology Mapping Generative Adversarial Network in Internet of Things for Ontology Alignment
On the Semantic web, ontologies are thought to be the remedy to data heterogeneity, and correlating ontologies is a highly effective technique. Although the use of representation learning approaches to a variety of applications has showed significant promise, they have had little effect on the issue of ontology matching and classification. In order to establish alignments between two ontologies, this research presents the Multi-Ontology Mapping Generative Adversarial Network in Internet of Things (MOMGANI). For the instance of ontology mapping, we suggest using a two-system representation learning network consisting of a Generator and Discriminator. The Generator applies a probabilistic softmax classifier to the different Name, Label, Comments, Properties, Instance descriptions, concept characteristics, and the neighbourhood concepts for each of the ontologys properties. In order to support the assertions that the Generator has generated, the Discriminator network employs a novel Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM network) with an Ontology Attention mechanism enhanced by the concept’s descriptions. As a result, both systems are in a feedback mechanism where they can learn from one another. The system will produce a set of triples that list all the associated concepts from various ontologies as its final product. Domain experts will review these triples outside of the band to ensure that only true concepts and triples are chosen for the alignment. In comparison to using the ontologies separately, the aligned ontology enables extended querying and inference across related ontologies and domains. Considering metrics like recall, precision, and F-measure, the experimental evaluation was performed utilizing the datasets for classes alignment, property alignment, and instances alignment. The proposed architecture provides a recall, precision, and F-measure of 0.92, 0.99, and 0.83 respectively which reveals that this model outperforms the traditional methods.

3 Designing and constructing internet-of-Things systems: An overview of the ecosystem
The current complexity of IoT systems and devices is a barrier to reach a healthy ecosystem, mainly due to technological fragmentation and inherent heterogeneity. Meanwhile, the field has scarcely adopted any engineering practices currently employed in other types of large-scale systems. Although many researchers and practitioners are aware of the current state of affairs and strive to address these problems, compromises have been hard to reach, making them settle for sub-optimal solutions. This paper surveys the current state of the art in designing and constructing IoT systems from the software engineering perspective, without overlooking hardware concerns, revealing current trends and research directions.

4 Knowledge Management Process for Air Quality Systems based on Data Warehouse Specification
Even though several systems for Air Quality (AQ) monitoring have been in existence for over a decade, a research model for Knowledge Management (KM) of AQ data has to be created in order to enhance the decision-making and organize the air quality data collected from the Internet of Things (IoT) consumer devices. This model should be made more performant by ensuring greater flexibility and interoperability between devices and emerging technologies. In this context, we propose an approach for representing Data WareHouse (DWH) schema based on an ontology that captures the multidimensional knowledge of tools, techniques, and technologies used for novel AQ systems. This enhances decision-making by coping with potential problems such as data sources heterogeneity and covering the various phases of the decision-making life cycle.

5 Effects of self-management interventions on heart failure: Systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials - Reprint
Background: Self-management intervention is an important component of disease management in patients with heart failure. It can improve heart failure knowledge, quality of life, and heart failure-related hospitalizations of heart failure patients. However, studies on the effect of two self-management interventions tasks have reported conflicting results.
Objective: This study conducted an up-to-date systematic review of the literature to evaluate the effects of self-management interventions on heart failure knowledge, quality of life, and heart failure-related hospitalizations in patients with heart failure. Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis. Data sources: We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and the references of articles in 14th December 2019.
Methods: The study characteristics included: authors, year, country, sample size, mean age of patients with heart failure, duration of intervention, recruitment and intervention delivery, interventions based on self-efficacy theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, disease management, self-care education. The risk of bias for each study was assessed independently by two investigators based on the Cochrane Handbook. This study used Revman to analyze different research outcomes. The fixed-effect model was used in the absence of significant heterogeneity or low heterogeneity, and if the heterogeneity was high, the random effect model was used.
Results: A total of 4977 publications were retrieved in this study. After eliminating duplicates and screening for titles and abstracts, 209 articles were retrieved for full-text evaluation. Finally, a total sample size analyzed across 15 randomized controlled trials was 2630 participants. This study showed that selfmanagement interventions significantly improved heart failure knowledge (0.61, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.27–0.95, p = 0.0004), quality of life (0.20, 95% CI 0.02–0.38, p = 0.03), and heart failure-related hospitalization (OR 0.40, 95% CI 0.29 to 0.55, p<0.00001) in patients with heart failure.
Conclusions: This study reveals the beneficial effects of self-management interventions on heart failure knowledge, quality of life, and heart failure-related hospitalization in patients with heart failure. Therefore, high quality randomized controlled designs are needed to explore the optimal self-management interventions for patients with heart failure.

6 Commercial Used Apparel Collection Operations in Retail Supply Chains
Motivated by the commonly observed commercial used apparel collection (UAC) programs in the fashion retail supply chain operations, this paper analytically explores the associated operational challenges that firms face. First, in the basic model, we consider the case when a fashion retail brand promotes its UAC program and collects the used apparel from consumers. Depending on the conditions of the collected apparel products, the fashion retail brand will classify and either donate them for charity or send them to remanufacturing. For either case, the fashion retail brand gains a benefit. We analytically derive in closed-form the optimal promotion effort and study the mechanism for “profit” coordination. Our results indicate that many traditional supply chain contracts fail to achieve “profit” coordination. Thus, the effort cost sharing (ECS) contract is proposed and proven to be effective for “profit” coordination. Finally, to check the robustness of findings from the basic model, we examine various UAC practice related extended models, such as i) consumer coupon offering, ii) “no remanufacturing” model, iii) consumer heterogeneity in environmental consciousness, iv) own-brand collection vs any-brand collection. Our findings show that the qualitative insights continue to hold in the extended scenarios. Some novel scenario-dependent findings are also obtained. Insights derived in this paper not only contribute to the literature but also provide scientifically sound managerial guidance and insights to practitioners on how UAC programs can be best operated.

7 Management strategies, silvopastoral practices and socioecological drivers in traditional livestock systems in tropical dry forests: An integrated analysis
Understanding traditional livestock management is essential in the design of more sustainable systems, given the forest loss associated to the growing demand for meat. In Latin America, where extensive livestock production is increasing, along with tropical dry forest (TDF) transformation, the role of small holders is critical for designing more sustainable management practices. This study is an integrated socioecological analysis of traditional li- vestock systems in a region with TDF in Mexico. The objectives were to: a) characterise the historical devel- opment and current state of livestock systems and silvopastoral practices, b) define the management strategies and their impacts on forests, and c) identify the regional and local socioecological drivers that influence decision- making processes in livestock and forest management. In-depth interviews were carried out to 32 cattle farmers and analysed using a qualitative-interpretative approach which included multivariate and narrative analyses. Three historical stages (colonization, promotion of livestock and forest conservation) had a strong impact in the development and current state of livestock systems. Access to natural and economic resources and proportion of plant cover (grassland/forest) were essential in defining four groups of management strategies. The main re- gional drivers favouring or restricting production include climate, native vegetation, markets and public policies; at the local scale, socioecological factors, such as water availability, native vegetation, economic assets, local knowledge and their interactions determine heterogeneity in management strategies, decision-making processes and their impacts on forests. Adaptive management of livestock and forests in a context of limited economic resources has allowed the conservation of forest areas and the use of silvopastoral practices with local tree species. The integrated socio-ecological approach and the use of mixed methods allowed a better understanding of drivers and their interrelationships, the local knowledge, objectives and perceptions of farmers in the decision- making processes regarding livestock and forest management. Perspectives of farmers on resource use can contribute to the design of more effective and inclusive policies for sustainable livestock systems in the dry tropics.

8 Embedded vision device integration via OPC UA: Design and evaluation of a neural network-based monitoring system for Industry 4:0
Sensor application is a basis for digitized industrial value creation. However, for existing production and logistics systems, sensor retrofitting is accompanied by challenges, including plant heterogeneity and lack of standards. This work addresses this issue through the design, implementation and evaluation of an embedded vision high-bay shelf monitoring system of an Industry 4.0 demonstrator. Utilizing design science research methodologies, the artifact unites the concepts of computer vision, convolutional neural networks and OPC UA for widely applicable and cost-efficient retrofitting. Design principles derived from the artifact’s design and evaluation cycles can serve as abstracted guidelines for designing retrofit visual sensor systems.© 2021 The Authors. 9 What are we missing when we measure accessibility? Comparing calculated and self-reported accounts among older people
Accessibility is increasingly recognised as a key purpose of transport policies. Most of the common practices found both in academic studies and policy planning draw on relatively simple accessibility measures taken as ‘objective’ indicators that only focus on the interaction between land use and transport. Relatively little attention has been paid to heterogeneity in individual characteristics and in self-reported perceptions of accessibility (‘subjective’ indicators), and the corresponding differences with respect to available modal options. This study includes a comparison of (1) ‘objective’ indicators of accessibility to key activities by various modes of transport; and (2) individuals’ own perceptions of their capability to access valuable out-of-home activities and the modal options available to them. This study examines the key differences between the two representations of acces- sibility. The calculated measure was developed using door-to-door travel times to supermarkets and healthcare centres using OpenTripPlanner. The self-reported measure was based on a dedicated capability-oriented travel survey of people aged 65–79 in Sweden’s large metropolitan regions: Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malm¨o. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and binary and multinomial logistic regressions. The results of this study allow us to gain a greater insight into the ways in which the two accounts differ and can complement one another. We find that conventional methods, by overlooking the heterogeneity in people’s perceptions of their accessibility, tend to overestimate accessibility levels and underestimate accessibility inequalities. This study shows how perceived accounts of accessibility can be incorporated into conventional accessibility models and improve accessibility analyses.

10 Supporting entrepreneurs : A systematic review of literature and an agenda for research
Entrepreneurship has become a cornerstone of economic development. The public awareness of this phenomenon spurred great interest from the academic community and policy makers alongside the creation of a vast range of entrepreneurship support initiatives. We conduct a systematic review of 122 academic articles published during a thirty year period between 1985–2015 that help to identify a series of theoretical, empirical, and practical gaps that form the basis of a research agenda. For instance, there is a shortage of conceptual articles and few empirical studies generating theoretical contributions; samples are small and idiosyncratic; context is rarely considered; and that mechanisms of ES are largely unknown. We propose that ES should develop along four main themes that ameliorate these exposed gaps: acknowledge and understand the heterogeneity of entrepreneurs and new ventures; apply existing theories to ES; improve methods and research design; and integrate ES into the ecosystem of support.
