Intelligent energy management in off-grid smart buildings with energy interaction

in residential sections and optimal energy consumption in homes. The main objectives of such energy
interactions are to increase consumer participation in energy management‘ boost economic efficiency‘
increase the user’s satisfaction by choosing between electricity sellers and buyers‘ and reduce the
electricity purchased from the grid especially at peak hours. Thus, the innovations of this study includes
defining an energy exchange method between smart buildings in an off-grid mode considering
renewable energy systems, considering both thermal and electrical equilibrium and studying the
lightning loads. it is assumed, here, that smart homes are off-grid‘ and the critical loads are supplied by
the energy transfer between the homes using mixed integer linear programming. A compromise between
the cost and time interval for using home appliances is considered to provide consumer’s comfort.
An objective function is introduced considering programmable and non-programmable loads‘ thermal
and electrical storages and lighting loads aiming to optimize the cost of energy between different smart
buildings. Based on the method, which is tested in two different cases not only does the total cost of the

A preference-based demand response mechanism for energy management in a microgrid
مکانیسم پاسخ تقاضا مبتنی بر اولویت برای مدیریت انرژی در یک ریز شبکه -2020 In this work, a preference-based, demand response (DR) multi-objective optimization model based on
real-time electricity price is presented to solve the problem of optimal residential load management. The
purpose of such a model is threefold: 1) to minimize the costs associated with consumption; 2) to
minimize the inconvenience caused to consumers; and 3) to minimize environmental pollution. Potential
solutions to the underlying multi-objective optimization problem are subject to a set of electrical
and operational constraints related to home appliances categories and the utilization of distributed
energy resources (DER) and energy storage systems (ESS). The use of the proposed model is illustrated in
a realistic microgrid scenario where suitable solutions were found by the Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic
Algorithm III (NSGA-III). These solutions determine new operational periods for home appliances as
well as the utilization of DER and ESS for the planning horizon while considering consumer preferences.
Besides helping consumers to take advantage of the benefits offered by DR, the experimental results
show that the multi-objective DR model together with the NSGA-III algorithm can effectively minimize

Flexibility management model of home appliances to support DSO requests in smart grids

and green economy. From a residential point of view, flexibility can be provided to operators using
home-appliances with the ability to modify their consumption profiles. These actions are part of demand response
programs and can be utilized to avoid problems, such as balancing/congestion, in distribution networks.
In this paper, we propose a model for aggregators flexibility provision in distribution networks. The model takes
advantage of load flexibility resources allowing the re-schedule of shifting/real-time home-appliances to provision
a request from a distribution system operator (DSO) or a balance responsible party (BRP). Due to the
complex nature of the problem, evolutionary computation is evoked and different algorithms are implemented
for solving the formulation efficiently. A case study considering 20 residential houses equipped each with seven
types of home-appliances is used to test and compare the performance of evolutionary algorithms solving the
proposed model. Results show that the aggregator can fulfill a flexibility request from the DSO/BRP by rescheduling
the home-appliances loads for the next 24-h horizon while minimizing the costs associated with the

A smart community energy management scheme considering user dominated demand side response and P2P trading
یک طرح مدیریت انرژی هوشمند جامعه با توجه به تسلط کاربر بر پاسخ طرف تقاضا و تجارت P2P-2020 This paper proposed a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) local community energy pool and a User Dominated Demand Side Response (UDDSR) that can help energy sharing and reduce energy bills of smart community. The proposed UDDSR allows energy users within the community to submit flexible Demand Response (DR) bids to Community Energy Management Scheme (EMS) with flexible start time, stop time and response durations with regard to users’ comfort zones for electric heating systems, electric vehicles and other home appliances, which gives maximum freedom to the DR participants. The scheduling of the DR bids, originally a multiobjective optimization problem (maximize the total flexible demand and the flexible demand in every interval during the whole DR duration), is transferred to a single objective optimization problem (maximize the total demand with penalty for demand imbalance during the whole DR duration) that can significantly decrease the computational complexity. Furthermore, to facilitate efficient energy usage among neighbourhoods, a local energy pool is also proposed to enable the energy trading among users aiming to facilitate the usage of surplus energy within the community. The electricity price of energy pool is determined by the real-time demand/supply ratio, and upper/lower limit for the price is configured to ensure the profitability for all the participants within the pool. To evaluate the performance of proposed UDDSR and local energy pool, comprehensive numerical analysis is conducted. It is found that the energy pool participants without PV can get at least 6.16% savings on electricity bill (when PV penetration level equals to 20%). The energy pool participants with PV can get much better return (at least 13.4% profit increase) on the PV generation compared to the conventional Feed-in-Tariff. If energy users join the UDDSR scheme, the participants can get further return, and the proposed UDDSR can provide a constant load reduction/increase during the every time interval of the whole DR event. If Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is included in the DR operation, the usage efficiency of customers’ flexible loads can achieve more than 85%. |

Does quality stimulate customer satisfaction where perceived value mediates and the usage of social media moderates?

The issue of customer satisfaction in electronics home appliances has received greater attention from academics and practitioners. In other words, customer satisfaction is a vital consideration in marketing. With the development of technology, new and innovative electronic home appliances are available in the market. Customers purchase and use the costly electronic home appliances where the satisfaction issue is an important concern. In Bangladesh, working families find the electronic home appliance very necessary. Companies offer state-of- the-art appliances for customers household works. Therefore, the study intends to investigate the effect of product quality (PQ), quality of service (SQ) and perceived value on customer satisfaction (CS). In addition, this study also seeks this relationship shaped by customers perceived value (CPV) as a key mechanism and interacted by social media usage. A total of 300 households were selected on a judgmental basis from Dhaka city in Bangladesh using a structured questionnaire. Collected data were CB-SEM (AMOS-v24) and SPSS. The findings showed PQ and SQ have positive effects on CS; SQ affects, but PQ does not affect CPV. CPV has a mixing mediating effect on SQ and CS relationship and PQ and CS relationship. Importantly, the positive impact of PQ, SQ and CPV is greater on customers who exhibit higher social media use. The conceptual framework was buttressed by EDT theory. The study contributed to contextual and theoretical knowledge in regards to home appliances. The practicing managers can collect an insight of customer satisfaction for their business. Anonymous authentication scheme for smart home environment with provable security
طرح احراز هویت ناشناس برای محیط خانه هوشمند با امنیت قابل اثبات-2019 Smart home is an emerging paradigm of the Internet of Things (IoT), which facilitates an individual
to operate the smart home appliances remotely through the internet. Since the user
and the smart devices communicate over insecure communication channels, the transmit-
ted sensitive data collected by the smart devices may be intercepted and altered easily by a
malicious adversary. Therefore, there is a great need to design an effective and anonymous
authentication scheme to guarantee secure communications in smart home environment.
In the past decade, extensive research has been carried out on this security issue, but most
of them are not secure. As a step towards this direction, in this paper, we propose an efficient
and anonymous authentication scheme for smart home environment using Elliptic
Curve Cryptography (ECC). The proposed scheme avoids keeping the verification table for
authentication purposes. In addition, random number method is adopted to resist replay
attack, and it can avoid the clock synchronization problem. The rigorous formal proof and
heuristic analysis show that the proposed scheme provides the desired security features
and resists against all the possible attacks. Compared with the most representative related
schemes, the proposed scheme achieves a delicate balance between security and efficiency,

Systematic survey of big data and data mining in internet of things

as smartphones, transportation facilities, public services, and home appliances are used as data creator
devices. All the electronic devices around us help our daily life. Devices such as wrist watches, emergency
alarms, and garage doors and home appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioning, and
water heaters are connected to an IoT network and controlled remotely. Methods such as big data and
data mining can be used to improve the efficiency of IoT and storage challenges of a large data volume
and the transmission, analysis, and processing of the data volume on the IoT. The aim of this study is to
investigate the research done on IoT using big data as well as data mining methods to identify subjects
that must be emphasized more in current and future research paths. This article tries to achieve the
goal by following the conference and journal articles published on IoT-big data and also IoT-data mining
areas between 2010 and August 2017. In order to examine these articles, the combination of Systematic
Mapping and literature review was used to create an intended review article. In this research, 44 articles
were studied. These articles are divided into three categories: Architecture & Platform, framework, and
application. In this research, a summary of the methods used in the area of IoT-big data and IoT-data
mining is presented in three categories to provide a starting point for researchers in the future.

Development of building energy saving advisory: A data mining approach
توسعه مشاوره صرفه جویی در انرژی ساختمان: رویکرد داده کاوی-2018 Occupants’ behavior and their interaction with home appliances are crucial for assessing building energy
consumption. This study proposes a new methodology for monitoring the energy consumed in building
end-use loads to build an advisory system. The built system alerts occupants to take certain measures
(prioritized recommendations) to reduce energy consumption of end-use loads. The quantification of po
tential savings is also provided upon following said measures. The proposed methodology is also capable
of evaluating the energy savings performed by the occupants. The system works based on the analysis
of historical data generated by occupants using data mining techniques to output highly feasible recom
mendations. For demonstration purposes, the methodology was tested on the real dataset of a building
in Japan. The dataset includes detailed energy consumption of end-use loads, categorized as hot water
supply, lighting, kitchen, refrigerator, entertainment & information, housework & sanitary, and others. Re
sults suggest that the developed models are accurate, and that it is possible to save up to 21% of total
energy consumption by only changing occupants’ energy use habits.

سال انتشار: 2017 - تعداد صفحات فایل pdf انگلیسی: 8 - تعداد صفحات فایل doc فارسی: 20 انرژی، یکی از با ارزش ترین منابع عصر حاضر است و باید به شیوه بهینه ای با بکارگیری هوشمندانه دستگاه های مختلف هوشمند که امروزه منابع اصلی مصرف انرژی هستند، مصرف شود. با رایج شدن دستگاه های DC ولتاژ پایین مانند به LED ها، رایانه ها، و لپ تاپ ها، تقاضا برای طراحی راه حل های جدید برای ساختمان های انرژی هوشمند با قابلیت خود پایداری افزایش یافته است. این ساختمان های هوشمند ، شهرهای هوشمند نسل بعدی را به وجود می آورند. این مقاله، یک نانوشبکه DC مبتنی بر ابری برای ساختمان های هوشمند خود پایدار در شهرهای هوشمند نسل بعدی را ارائه می دهد. از آنجا که ممکن است ساختمان های هوشمند در شهرهای مختلف هوشمند در آینده ای نزدیک پدیدار شوند، از این رو، حجم زیادی از داده ها با توجه به تقاضا و تولید برق از کلیه این ساختمان ها به وجود می آید. این داده ها از نوع ناهمگن هستند، زیرا از انواع مختلف لوازم برقی در این ساختمان های هوشمند تولید می شوند. برای حل این مشکل، از یک زیرساخت مبتنی بر ابری برای تصمیم گیری های هوشمندانه با توجه به مصرف انرژی لوازم برقی مختلف استفاده می شود که به منبع تغذیه DC بدون وقفه برای کلیه لوازم برقی DC ولتاژ پایین با حداقل وابستگی به شبکه منتهی می شود. از این رو، بار اضافی در شبکه اصلی در ساعات اوج برق کاهش می یابد، زیرا، ساختمان ها در شهرهای هوشمند با توجه به تقاضای انرژی شان خود پایدار هستند. در راه حل پیشنهادی، مجموعه ساختمان های هوشمند در یک شهر هوشمند برای مطالعه تجربی در نظر گرفته شده که به وسیله ی مراکز مختلف داده کنترل می شوند. این مراکز داده جهت ایجاد هشدارهای منظم در هنگام مصرف اضافی انرژی ناشی از لوازم برقی کاربران به کار گرفته می شوند. کلیه این مراکز داده در شهرهای مختلف هوشمند به زیرساخت مبتنی بر ابری متصل می شوند که مدیر اصلی برای تمام تصمیم گیری ها در مورد اتوماسیون انرژی در شهرهای هوشمند است. اثربخشی روش پیشنهادی بر حسب معیارهای مختلف ارزیابی عملکرد مانند مانند نسبت رضایتمندی ، تأخیر، سرریز به وجود آمده ، و فاصله تقاضا و تامین سنجیده شده است. با توجه به این معیارها ، عملکرد روش پیشنهادی برای پیاده سازی به صورت عملی بسیار خوب است.
