1 The Interplay between the Internet of Things and agriculture: A bibliometric analysis and research agenda

The proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) has fundamentally reshaped the agricultural sector. In recent years, academic research on the IoT has grown at an unprecedented pace. However, the broad picture of how this technology can benefit the agricultural sector is still missing. To close this research gap, we conduct a bibliometric study to investigate the current state of the IoT and agriculture in academic literature. Using a resource-based view (RBV), we also identify those agricultural resources that are mostly impacted by the introduction of the IoT (i.e., seeds, soil, water, fertilizers, pesticides, energy, livestock, human resources, technology infrastructure, business relations) and propose numerous themes for future research.

2 A deep learning approach to the screening of malaria infection: Automated and rapid cell counting, object detection and instance segmentation using Mask R-CNN

Accurate and early diagnosis is critical to proper malaria treatment and hence death prevention. Several com- puter vision technologies have emerged in recent years as alternatives to traditional microscopy and rapid diagnostic tests. In this work, we used a deep learning model called Mask R-CNN that is trained on uninfected and Plasmodium falciparum-infected red blood cells. Our predictive model produced reports at a rate 15 times faster than manual counting without compromising on accuracy. Another unique feature of our model is its ability to generate segmentation masks on top of bounding box classifications for immediate visualization, making it superior to existing models. Furthermore, with greater standardization, it holds much potential to reduce errors arising from manual counting and save a significant amount of human resources, time, and cost.

3 Innovative behavior motivations among frontline employees: The mediating role of knowledge management

Labor-intensive industries face challenges when designing innovative, customer-oriented service strategies at the employee level, since service is mainly produced and delivered to customers not by technology or machines but by human resources. In other words, the role of frontline employees is particularly critical in customers’ belief formation of whether a service company is innovative or not. Therefore, this study was conducted to formulate and investigate the psychological process of frontline employees’ innovative behaviors. To achieve the purpose, this study collected data from frontline employees in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This study contributes to the motivation literature in human resources management by adapting and considering a marketing approach based on three aspects of motivation: global, contextual, and situational. This study also examined whether motivation factors may increase knowledge-management capabilities and subsequently stimulate innovative behaviors, which are critical to the successful implementation of service improvements among frontline employees.

4 Managing global knowledge transfer: Inpatriate manager embeddedness and firm innovation

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of tacit knowledge transfer in a particular type of global manager - the inpatriate manager who is typically relocated from the MNC’s subsidiary to headquarter. To do so, we draw on social embeddedness theory. Our paper suggests that if an inpatriate manager becomes embedded within the MNCs headquarter, tacit knowledge transfer will occur resulting in innovative practices and a global mindset within the MNCs headquarters. This study takes the unique approach of studying the barriers that inpatriate managers face in the transfer of tacit knowledge and highlights the role of human resources in facilitating the transfer of knowledge across the MNC. The paper articulates the implications for policy and practice and a future research agenda.

5 Text mining of industry 4:0 job advertisements
استخراج متن آگهی های شغلی صنعت 4:0-2020
Since changes in job characteristics in areas such as Industry 4.0 are rapid, fast tool for analysis of job advertisements is needed. Current knowledge about competencies required in Industry 4.0 is scarce. The goal of this paper is to develop a profile of Industry 4.0 job advertisements, using text mining on publicly available job advertisements, which are often used as a channel for collecting relevant information about the required knowledge and skills in rapid-changing industries. We searched website, which publishes job advertisements, related to Industry 4.0, and performed text mining analysis on the data collected from those job advertisements. Analysis of the job advertisements revealed that most of them were for full time entry; associate and mid-senior level management positions and mainly came from the United States and Germany. Text mining analysis resulted in two groups of job profiles. The first group of job profiles was focused solely on the knowledge related to Industry 4.0: cyberphysical systems and the Internet of things for robotized production; and smart production design and production control. The second group of job profiles was focused on more general knowledge areas, which are adapted to Industry 4.0: supply change management, customer satisfaction, and enterprise software. Topic mining was conducted on the extracted phrases generating various multidisciplinary job profiles. Higher educational institutions, human resources professionals, as well as experts that are already employed or aspire to be employed in Industry 4.0 organizations, would benefit from the results of our analysis.

6 AI-enabled recruiting: What is it and how should a manager use it?

AI-enabled recruiting systems have evolved from nice to talk about to necessary to utilize. In this article, we outline the reasons underlying this development. First, as competitive advantages have shifted from tangible to intangible assets, human capital has transitioned from supporting cast to a starring role. Second, as digitalization has redesigned both the business and social landscapes, digital recruiting of human capital has moved from the periphery to center stage. Third, recent and near-future advances in AI-enabled recruiting have improved recruiting efficiency to the point that managers ignore them or procrastinate their utilization at their own peril. In addition to explaining the forces that have pushed AI-enabled recruiting systems from nice to necessary, we outline the key strategic steps managers need to take in order to capture its main benefits.

7 Biology, ecology and behavior of the acoupa weakfish Cynoscion acoupa (Lacepade, , 1801) according to the local knowledge of fishermen in the northern coast of Brazil

Local ecological knowledge (LEK) of fishers and other actors involved in the fishery can be provide information on the life cycle of fish species they harvest, help defining low-cost sampling projects, new biological hypotheses, management activities and policy measures. This study focuses on fishers’ LEK on diet, feeding, spawning grounds, reproductive size, exploited sizes and perceived changes in abundance over the years of the acoupa weakfish (Cynoscion acoupa), a commercially important marine species. Results from interviews with 240 actors (fishers, captains and boat owners) involved in C. acoupa fisheries in eight municipalities in the northern coast of Brazil indicated that: (a) C. acoupa feeds in areas with rocky bottoms down to the depth of 30 m, eating mainly fish, particularly another weakfish (Macrodon ancylodon) and sardines (Engraulidae); (b) this fish spawns in rocky and non-estuarine habitats; (c) the spawning period mentioned by fishers coincided with the harvest period, but was in disagreement with published scientific information; (d) the median minimum length of individuals of C. acoupa carrying eggs according to interviews was of 70 cm, which was smaller than the length reported in biological studies, possible due to the selectiveness of fishing; (e) there is an overall perception of a decrease in the abundance of C. acoupa among the interviewed fishers, which is compatible with studies on stock exploitation of this species. The current dearth of financial and human resources available for scientific research underlines the importance of making use of LEK to improve fishery policy and management.

8 Generalized fuzzy logic based performance prediction in data mining

In recent days, the single and multiple economies depend upon the human capital to build a valuable service. The individual employee level is important to process and maintain the whole organization. Consequently, performance management is needed at each employee level and the business level to implement a system in order to measure the employee performance and provide growth based on the performance. In data mining applications, the knowledge discovery of interest in Human Resources Management (HRM) is applicable. To extract the knowledge significant data mining classification techniques were used. The scope of this work compares the predictive analyzing of theC4.5 algorithm, Naive Bayes and Fuzzy logics are made by comparing its accuracy. This paper proposed a framework to help human resource to monitor the employee performance. The exact accuracy of the proposed framework found to be more efficient in terms of the accurately predicting the outcome of the employee.© 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. 9 Analytic network process: An overview of applications

The analytic network process is one of the multi-criteria decision-making methods widely used to solve various issues in the real-world due to the consideration of complex and interrelated relationships between decision elements and the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative attributes simultaneously. The purpose of this paper is to review and categorize ANP studies previously conducted. For this purpose, 456 valid scientific papers are reviewed from 2000 to 2017 (in May 2017). The articles are classified in nine application areas: (1) health, safety and environmental management; (2) hydrology and water management; (3) business and financial management; (4) human resources management; (5) tourism; (6) logistics and supply chain management; (7) design, engineering and manufacturing systems; (8) energy management and (9) other topics. After reviewing the papers in the nine application areas, some suggestions for future research are presented. This article provides useful information on ANP for scholarly researchers.

10 Managing the “backend” of LIS research projects: A project management perspective

There is very little guidance in library and information science (LIS) literature about how researchers should manage the scope, time, costs, quality, human resources, communications, and risks associated with LIS research projects. To fill this gap, researchers tested the utility of project management principles (PMP) for planning and managing a project designed to enhance the information, digital, and financial literacy of the people earning less than $2 per day in India. The customization of PMP through 29 mechanisms and 60 action items was used to conduct focus groups and in-person surveys with over 150 participants, in their native language, at 10 public libraries. PMP were most helpful for managing risks (13 solutions), communications (11 solutions), and human resources (10 solutions) of the project and treating participants ethically. PMP developed in the West were helpful before, during, and after data collection in the LIS research project in a developing country.
