11 Person-identification using familiar-name auditory evoked potentials from frontal EEG electrodes
شناسایی فرد با استفاده از پتانسیل نام-آشنا شنوایی الکترودهای EEG جلو برانگیخته-2021
Electroencephalograph (EEG) based biometric identification has recently gained increased attention of re- searchers. However, state-of-the-art EEG-based biometric identification techniques use large number of EEG electrodes, which poses user inconvenience and consumes longer preparation time for practical applications. This work proposes a novel EEG-based biometric identification technique using auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) acquired from two EEG electrodes. The proposed method employs single-trial familiar-name AEPs extracted from the frontal electrodes Fp1 and F7, which facilitates faster and user-convenient data acquisition. The EEG signals recorded from twenty healthy individuals during four experiment trials are used in this study. Different com- binations of well-known neural network architectures are used for feature extraction and classification. The cascaded combinations of 1D-convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN) with long short-term memory (LSTM) and with gated recurrent unit (GRU) networks gave the person identification accuracies above 99 %. 1D-convolutional, LSTM network achieves the highest person identification accuracy of 99.53 % and a half total error rate (HTER) of 0.24 % using AEP signals from the two frontal electrodes. With the AEP signals from the single electrode Fp1, the same network achieves a person identification accuracy of 96.93 %. The use of familiar-name AEPs from frontal EEG electrodes that facilitates user convenient data acquisition with shorter preparation time is the novelty of this work.

12 A novel multi-lead ECG personal recognition based on signals functional and structural dependencies using time-frequency representation and evolutionary morphological CNN
تشخیص شخصی نوار قلب ECG مبتنی بر وابستگی های عملکردی و ساختاری سیگنالها با استفاده از نمایش فرکانس زمان و CNN مورفولوژیکی تکاملی-2021
Biometric recognition systems have been employed in many aspects of life such as security technologies, data protection, and remote access. Physiological signals, e.g. electrocardiogram (ECG), can potentially be used in biometric recognition. From a medical standpoint, ECG leads have structural and functional dependencies. In fact, precordial ECG leads view the heart from different axial angles, whereas limb leads view it from various coronal angles. This study aimed to design a personal biometric recognition system based on ECG signals by estimating these latent medical variables. To estimate functional dependencies, within-correlation and cross- correlation in time-frequency domain between ECG leads were calculated and represented in the form of extended adjacency matrices. CNN trees were then introduced through genetic programming for the automated estimation of structural dependencies in extended adjacency matrices. CNN trees perform the deep feature learning process by using structural morphology operators. The proposed system was designed for both closed-set identification and verification. It was then tested on two datasets, i.e. PTB and CYBHi, for performance evaluation. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method outperformed all of them.

13 Deep belief network-based hybrid model for multimodal biometric system for futuristic security applications
مدل ترکیبی مبتنی بر باور عمیق برای سیستم بیومتریک چند حالته برای برنامه های امنیتی آینده-2021
Biometrics is the technology to identify humans uniquely based on face, iris, and fingerprints, etc. Biometric authentication allows the person recognition automatically on the basis of behavioral or physiological charac- teristics. Biometrics are broadly employed in several commercial as well as the official identification systems for automatic access control. This paper introduces the model for multimodal biometric recognition based on score level fusion method. The overall procedure of the proposed method involves five steps, such as pre-processing, feature extraction, recognition score using Multi- support vector neural network (Multi-SVNN) for all traits, score level fusion, and recognition using deep belief neural network (DBN). The first step is to input the training images into pre-processing steps. Thus, the pre-processing of three traits, like iris, ear, and finger vein is done. Then, the feature extraction is done for each modality to extract the features. After that, the texture features are extracted from pre-processed images of the ear, iris, and finger vein, and the BiComp features are acquired from individual images using a BiComp mask. Then, the recognition score is computed based on the Multi-SVNN classifier to provide the score individually for all three traits, and the three scores are provided to the DBN. The DBN is trained using the chicken earthworm optimization algorithm (CEWA). The CEWA is the integration of the chicken swarm optimization (CSO), and earthworm optimization algorithm (EWA) for the optimal authentication of the person. The analysis proves that the developed method acquired a maximal accuracy of 95.36%, maximal sensitivity of 95.85%, and specificity of 98.79%, respectively.

14 Biomass supply chain equipment for renewable fuels production: A review
تجهیزات زنجیره تأمین زیست توده برای تولید سوخت های تجدیدپذیر: یک مروز-2021
The production of renewable fuels is a critical component of global strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Moreover, the collection of raw materials for its production can provide added benefits such as reduction of wildfire risk, additional income for farmers, and decreased disposal costs. Although there is substantial literature on design and modeling of supply chains, the authors were unable to find a single reference with the information needed for the selection and cost estimation of each type of equipment involved in the supply chain. Therefore, the goal of this research is to gather information necessary for the construction and utilization of models that might drive the identification of a feasible supply chain to produce renewable fuels at a commercial scale. The primary objectives are to 1) understand the supply chain of critical feedstocks for renewable fuels production; 2) identify the equipment commercially available for collection and ad equation of feedstock; and 3) consolidate information regarding equipment cost, energy consumption, and efficiency, as well as feedstock storage and transportation systems. This paper provides a compilation for five feedstock types studied for sustainable aviation fuel production: 1) agricultural residues and grasses, 2) forest residues, 3) urban wood waste, 4) oilseeds, 5) fats, oils & greases. All the technologies involved from the field to the gate of the preprocessing or conversion unit were reviewed. The information on fats, oils & greases supply chains and equipment purposely designed for forest thinning and pruning was very limited.

16 An extensive survey on finger and palm vein recognition system
یک بررسی گسترده در مورد سیستم تشخیص ورید انگشت و کف دست-2021
The evolution of the internet drastically increases the utilization of online data, which needs security using unique identification. The traditional methods of security, such as password, personal identification number (PIN), could not reach the user-friendly requirement of the users. There is a necessity to provide high security for the data by using a unique identification system. Today, in many situations, biometrics plays a crucial role in today’s authentication and recognition. Biometrics deals with unique physical and behavioral characteristics. Fingerprint, face recognition, iris/ retinal recognition, voice recognition and vein recognition are some of the biometrics which is used for authentication purpose. In this paper, we highlight different processes that involve finger veins and palm veins recognition and authentication. These finger and palm vein is identified as one of the important unique identifications that can be used for the authentication which provide the security for the important personal data. In this study, we noticed that the advantage of using a vein for the authentication process is that it provides high security because it can be detected even when a finger or palm got injured, and it works only when the person is alive otherwise the authentication fails.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 17 Palm print identification and classification using KNN algorithm
شناسایی و طبقه بندی چاپ کف با استفاده از الگوریتم KNN-2021
The best way of biometric security is face recognition, iris’ recognition, and palm print recognition. Palm recognition is a form of biometric process which is based on the different patterns of different characteristic. As in the case with the patterns in fingers, scanning the palm scanner uses optical, tactile, thermal methods to bring out the details in the patterns of raised areas which are called as ridges and branches called bifurcations, palm recognition is considered as a special type for security purposes as the finger patterns vary from person to person with different characteristics. This is scanned by a scanner or CCD. They can also be used for forensic, criminal, or commercial uses. Palm print gives a better level of accuracy and it is the best biometric way for security purposes. Various classifiers are used to match the palm print with the stored data. This system proposes a KNN classifier to match the current palm print with the existing dataset. This system produces a better result than other matching techniques.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 19 Radiography of human dry bones: A reflective account with recommendations for practice
رادیوگرافی استخوان های خشک انسان: یک حساب بازتابنده با توصیه های عملیاتی-2021
Introduction: This study presents the reflective account of a large-scale radiographic survey of medieval and post-medieval long bones from St Albans, United Kingdom. As a practicing diagnostic radiographer and archaeologist, the author sought to apply experiential learning to generate recommendations for archaeological and forensic radiography practice. The purpose of the imaging was to identify Harris lines for biological stress, however this reflective piece concerns the adaptation of clinical radiographic technique for human dry bones.
Methods: Imaging took place over five sessions in early 2021 with the assistance of an osteoarchaeologist. Radiography followed standard clinical views (anterior-posterior and medio-lateral) of femora, humeri, radii and tibiae using a digital radiography system. A workplace diary was used to record challenges, solutions and musings related to radiographic technique. The Rolfe, Freshwater and Jasper reflective model was applied to collate and present findings.
Results: A total of 502 radiographs of 426 long bones (92 individuals) were acquired. A multidisciplinary team was found to be essential for correct identification of anatomy, laterality and orientation of remains during the survey. Anterior-posterior views were easiest to achieve, with medio-lateral imaging requiring considerably more effort. Radiolucent sponge supports were necessary, although fragmented remains were often impossible to position accurately. Hands-on experience of human bones improved the authors knowledge and confidence with osteology.
Conclusion: Although limited to selective long bones of archaeological context and personal experience, the findings of this study have direct applications for forensic radiography practice. This includes use of a multidisciplinary team, robust workflow with integrated failsafe checks, consistent imaging approach and the application of radiolucent sponge supports.
Implications for practice: Recommendations within this study may contribute towards a comprehensive guide for radiographic technique for human dry bones.
