51 Exploiting knowledge graphs in industrial products and services: A survey of key aspects, challenges, and future perspectives

The rapid development of information and communication technologies has enabled a value co-creation paradigm for developing industrial products and services, where massive heterogeneous data and multidisciplinary knowledge are generated and leveraged. In this context, Knowledge Graph (KG) emerges as a promising tool to elicit, fuse, process, and utilize numerous entities and relationships embedded in products and services, as well as their stakeholders. Nevertheless, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, there is scarcely any comprehensive and thorough discussion about making full use of KG’s potentials to solve pain points of product development and service innovation in the industry. Aiming to fill this gap, this paper conducted a systematic survey of KG exploitations in industrial products and services and the customizations towards higher adaptability to practices. The authors selected 119 representative papers (up to 10/03/2021) together with other 29 supplementary works to summarize the technical and practical efforts and discuss the current challenges of exploiting KG in industrial products and services. Meantime, this work also highlights enhancing KG’s availability and boosting its productivity in industrial products and services development as the core future perspectives to explore. It is hoped that this work can provide a basis for the explorations and implementations of KG-supported industrial product and services development, and attract more open discussions to the exploitation of KG-enabled industrial information systems.

52 Drawing the premises for personalized learning: Illustrations of management and accounting
طراحی مکان برای یادگیری شخصی: تصاویر مدیریت و حسابداری-2021
This paper reports on a teaching innovation using participant-generated drawings. Experienced managers were asked to produce a drawing to illustrate their work from an accounting perspective. The drawings were then used to make the managerial context of the participants the explicit starting point for personalized executive learning. This study is the first in the sphere of accounting education and research to take drawing seriously as a learning method. The results of the experiment show how drawing can be further used as a tool in management education by facilitating the visualization of the managerial contexts participants work within.

This review of the accounting education literature includes 88 articles published during 2020 in five accounting education journals: (1) Journal of Accounting Education, (2) Accounting Education, (3) Advances in Accounting Education: Teaching and Curriculum Innovations, (4) Issues in Accounting Education, and (5) The Accounting Educators’ Journal. We update 15 prior accounting education literature reviews by organizing and summarizing contributions to the accounting education literature made during 2020. Articles are categorized into five sections corresponding to traditional knowledge bases: (1) curriculum and instruction, (2) instruction by content area, (3) educational technology, (4) students, and (5) faculty. We summarize the research design of the empirical articles. Suggestions for research are presented. Articles classified as cases published in the same five journals during 2020 are tabulated in an appendix categorized by content area

54 Developing ambidexterity through quality management and their effects on performance
توسعه دوسوختگی از طریق مدیریت کیفیت و اثرات آن بر عملکرد-2021
This study analyzes the influence of quality management practices on organizational ambidexterity and on performance, and the mediating role of ambidexterity in the relationship between quality management practices and performance in the hotel industry. The paper uses Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis based on data from 365 Spanish hotels. The results show that quality management practices favor the development of organizational ambidexterity, that is, they help balance exploitation and exploration activities, and this contributes to improving hotel performance. Moreover, ambidexterity acts as a partial mediator between quality management practices and hotel performance. These findings imply that quality management practices can create an appropriate organizational context to simultaneously develop both service improvements (exploitative in- novations) and service innovations (explorative innovations). This paper contributes to theory by developing new knowledge regarding quality management as a facilitator of ambidexterity, and the mediating role of ambidexterity in the relationship between quality management and hotel performance.

55 Innovative behavior motivations among frontline employees: The mediating role of knowledge management

Labor-intensive industries face challenges when designing innovative, customer-oriented service strategies at the employee level, since service is mainly produced and delivered to customers not by technology or machines but by human resources. In other words, the role of frontline employees is particularly critical in customers’ belief formation of whether a service company is innovative or not. Therefore, this study was conducted to formulate and investigate the psychological process of frontline employees’ innovative behaviors. To achieve the purpose, this study collected data from frontline employees in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This study contributes to the motivation literature in human resources management by adapting and considering a marketing approach based on three aspects of motivation: global, contextual, and situational. This study also examined whether motivation factors may increase knowledge-management capabilities and subsequently stimulate innovative behaviors, which are critical to the successful implementation of service improvements among frontline employees.

56 Collaborative innovation in supply chain systems: Value creation and leadership structure
Collaborative innovation in supply chain systems: Value creation and leadership structure-2021
In the information age, collaborative innovation in process and product is critically important. In this paper, we study the value of a supply chain innovation in which one upstream supplier and one downstream manufacturer may co-develop a product that includes several innovative elements. The supplier is responsible for process innovation to optimize the production system and reduce unit production costs, and the manufacturer is responsible for product innovation. We study innovation leadership and consider the supplier-led (SL) and manufacturer-led (ML) innovation games. We find that in both SL and ML innovation games, if the manufacturer has sufficient resources and capability to invest in product innovation, the manufacturer is always willing to invest in product innovation, but not the supplier. We identify the value of co-innovation and innovation leadership. We find that the product with higher innovation level will be provided under the ML innovation game. When selling the technological and innovative products (as they usually have a larger profit margin ratio), the manufacturer should invest more in product innovation. When product innovation efficiency is large (small),the manufacturer’s profit is convex (concave) in the profit margin ratio. We identify the optimal value creation of joint pricing and innovation in a supply chain and the impacts of “process-product innovation dependence”. Our results (i) highlight the value of manufacturer-led innovation and the importance of considering the product’sprofit margin ratio in co-innovation, (ii) indicate that the manufacturer should be the leader to invest in product innovation, and (iii) the co-innovated products should be sold at a high profit margin.

57 A dynamic model of knowledge management in innovative technology companies: A case from the energy sector

This paper presents fresh insights into how medium to large innovative technology companies in the energy business evolve their knowledge management (KM) capability. To date existing models of KM have been static, while this work provides a more dynamic approach. The primary data is analysed using a combination of an operational research (OR) approach (causal mapping) with a well-established generic qualitative research method (the Gioia method). This paper contributes to KM literature by developing a dynamic model of KM, which shows how KM capability evolves over time within an organisation. In this model, KM evolves from managing explicit knowledge through knowledge sharing to creating new knowledge. Such understanding of KM as a process can help managers in decision making with respect to both KM and innovation activities. © 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

58 A framework for sustainable management of the platform service supply chain: An empirical study of the logistics sector in China

Platforms have become an effective means of innovation in the logistics sector. However, not all platform-based business models become a success. This research investigates how a platform strategy can lead to a sustainable managed platform service supply chain. Based on analysis of data collected within the logistics sectors in China, the research results propose a structural mapping of a platform service supply chain, which differs from the traditional service supply chain structure. This research develops a sustainable management framework for the platform service supply chain, including three key elements: mutual facilitation between platform and business ecosystem; strategic alignment among the structural elements; and a sustainable element including value co- creation, co-opetition and dynamic configuration. The paper also provides a summary of practical implications to guide practitioners in building a successful platform service supply chain and enacting effective management strategies.

Implementing the unmanned cars has been given much importance from the recent past years. These cars have been designed by the automobile industries and are in the stage to test their rides on the roads. With being implemented with automated cars, the problem arises when there is any technical issue of how the backup works. So, in this paper, we are presenting the implementation of the miniature model of the automated robotic vehicle using the Raspberry Pi and how the data can be sent to the cloud. So that a person can be able to observe and maintain the Speed, Distance Covered and the Movement of the Vehicle on the Roads of the city. This model is designed on the applications of the safety measures to be taken for these unmanned vehicles that are almost a reality in the coming days. The Raspberry Pi development board is used as the core processor, camera module for the identification of the traffic signals and the Ultrasonic sensor for the identification of any of the vehicle nearby, and if so the direction of the vehicle changes from which it is moving and all the remaining data regarding the data posted in the cloud is well described through the paper.© 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
