2 Can twitter analytics predict election outcome? An insight from 2017 Punjab assembly elections
Since the beginning of this decade, there has seen an exponential growth in number of internet users using social media, especially Twitter for sharing their views on various topics of common interest like sports, products, politics etc. Due to the active participation of large number of people on Twitter, huge amount of data (i.e. big data) is being generated, which can be put to use (after refining) to analyze real world problems. This paper takes into consideration the Twitter data related to the 2017 Punjab (a state of India) assembly elections and applies different social media analytic techniques on collected tweets to extract and unearth hidden but useful information. In addition to this, we have employed machine learning algorithm to perform polarity analysis and have proposed a new seat forecasting method to accurately predict the number of seats that a political party is likely to win in the elections. Our results confirmed that Indian National Congress was likely to emerge winner and that in fact was the outcome, when results got declared.

3 From social netizens to data citizens: Variations of GDPR awareness in 28 European countries
We study variability in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) awareness in relation to dig- ital experience in the 28 European countries of EU27-UK, through secondary analysis of the Eurobarometer 91.2 survey conducted in March 2019 (N = 27,524). Education, occupation, and age are the strongest sociodemographic predictors of GDPR awareness, with little influence of gender, subjective economic well-being, or locality size. Digital experience is significantly and positively correlated with GDPR awareness in a linear model, but this relationship proves to be more complex when we examine it through a typological analysis. Using an exploratory k-means cluster analysis we identify four clusters of digital citizenship, across both dimensions of digital experience and GDPR awareness: the off-line citizens (22%), the social netizens (32%), the web citizens (17%), and the data citizens (29%). The off-line citizens rank lowest in internet use and GDPR awareness; the web citizens rank at about average values, while the data citizens rank highest in both digital experience and GDPR knowl- edge and use. The fourth identified cluster, the social netizens, have a discordant profile, with remarkably high social network use, below average online shopping experiences, and low GDPR awareness. Digitalization in human capital and general internet use is a strong country-level correlate of the national frequency of the data citizen type. Our results con- firm previous studies of the low privacy awareness and skills associated with intense social media consumption, but we find that young generations are evenly divided between the rather carefree social netizens and the strongly invested data citizens. In order to achieve the full potential of the GDPR in changing surveillance practices while fostering consumer trust and responsible use of Big Data, policymakers should more effectively engage the dig-∗ Corresponding author. 4 Does the utilization of information communication technology promote entrepreneurship: Evidence from rural China
Impacts on the probability of transition to entrepreneurship in rural China associated with the utilization of information communication technology (ICT) are estimated using longitudinal data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) survey. We identify cell phone ownership and Internet use as proxy variables for ICT utilization and find that cell phone ownership and Internet use have positive impacts on entrepreneurship. After controlling for observables and time and regional fixed effects, cell phone users (Internet users) are 2.1 (6.2) percentage points more likely to engage in entrepreneurship than the others. Considering that the average entrepreneurship rate for rural households is only 9.2% in the sample, the influence of cell phone ownership and Internet use are very strong in the economic sense. Our results are robust to unobservable individual characteristics, model misspecification, and reverse causality of entrepreneurship to ICT utilization. Evidence also suggests that social network and information and knowledge acquisition play the mediating roles in the impact of ICT utilization on entrepreneurship.

5 Privacy-preserving collaborative filtering: A new approach based on variable-group-size microaggregation
The amount of available information is growing steadily and, as a result, Internet users benefit from recommender systems, which help them find information, services and products that best fit their needs. A common technique used in recommender systems is Collaborative Filtering, which is based on users’ collaboration to make recommendations. However, users are getting more concerned about their privacy and can be reluctant to disclose their interests and other personal information. Hence, with the aim to foster users collaboration, the development of privacy-aware collaborative filtering methods has become a hot topic in the field. In this article we recall the concept of Privacy-Preserving Collaborative Filtering (PPCF) and introduce a novel approach based on variable-group-size microaggregation, which provides k-anonymity to the users. Also, we introduce several new metrics based on users’ behaviour that overcome the drawbacks of traditional metrics. Extensive experiments show that our approach can provide more accurate recommendations than well-known methods while, at the same time, preserving users’ privacy.

6 Self-control, organizational context, and rational choice in Internet abuses at work
Cyber criminals use the Internet as a major platform to launch malware and social engineering attacks. Employees’ violation of Internet use policy (IUP) elevates a firm’s security risks from cyber-attacks. In the literature, such deviant behavior is generally considered to be the result of a cost-benefit calculus. However, this study shows that dispositional factors such as self-control and procedural justice moderate the cost-benefit calculus. We conclude that self-control and procedural justice need to be integrated with the Rational Choice Theory to better explain Internet abuses at work.

8 Could affectivity compete better than efficacy in describing and explaining individuals coping behavior: An empirical investigation
This article raises a new issue by proposing that an individuals coping behaviour is not influ enced only by efficacy. Most of the previous articles suggest that efficacy (i.e., susceptibility and severity) predominantly affects individuals coping behaviour. This study counters many previous articles by replacing the efficacy with affectivity. This study suggests that the three determinants of affectivity (i.e., negative affectivity, trait anxiety and computer insecurity) that affect how internet users act or cope with something they encounter. This article contributes a new idea by arguing and subsequently finding that the determinant of individuals coping behaviour is er raticism. The model in this study is more sophisticated in how it explains users coping behaviour than Chen and Zahedis (2016) model. It means that individuals coping behaviours are pre dominantly influenced by negative affectivity, anxiety, and insecurity (affectivity) rather than susceptibility and severity (efficacy). According to these findings, this study concludes that social media systems must be able to cope with the users affective behavioural patterns. Henceforth it has significant consequences in terms of strategic high-technology. Specifically, there are con sequences for the Information Systems Development that gravitates towards social networking. The new systems must be able to trigger users to cope with adaptive structurization and knowledge management sharing. Also, this development must be able to reduce dysfunctional functions and computer crime risks.

9 Predicting the Big 5 personality traits from digital footprints on social media: A meta-analysis
The growing use of social media among Internet users produces a vast and new source of user generated eco logical data, such as textual posts and images, which can be collected for research purposes. The increasing convergence between social and computer sciences has led researchers to develop automated methods to extract and analyze these digital footprints to predict personality traits. These social media-based predictions can then be used for a variety of purposes, including tailoring online services to improve user experience, enhance re commender systems, and as a possible screening and implementation tool for public health. In this paper, we conduct a series of meta-analyses to determine the predictive power of digital footprints collected from social media over Big 5 personality traits. Further, we investigate the impact of different types of digital footprints on prediction accuracy. Results of analyses show that the predictive power of digital footprints over personality traits is in line with the standard “correlational upper-limit” for behavior to predict personality, with correlations ranging from 0.29 (Agreeableness) to 0.40 (Extraversion). Overall, our findings indicate that accuracy of pre dictions is consistent across Big 5 traits, and that accuracy improves when analyses include demographics and multiple types of digital footprints.

10 Understanding the relationship between cyber-victimisation and cyber-bullying on Social Network Sites: The role of moderating factors
The strongest predictor of engagement in cyber-bullying is having experienced cyber-victimisation oneself. We examined the extent to which trait (moral disengagement, cognitive empathy, affective empathy), demographic (age, sex), and situational factors (Internet use, parental Internet monitoring) moderated the strength of the re lationship between victimisation and bullying on Social Network Sites (SNSs). We surveyed 175 adolescents (M age = 14.82 years; SD = 1.52; 53% male) who had a SNS profile. Higher moral disengagement strengthened the cyber victim-bully relationship, whereas greater parental monitoring weakened this relationship. Neither affec tive nor cognitive empathy, age, sex, nor time online moderated the relationship. Overall, 30% to 48% of the var iance in cyber-bullying frequency was explained. The results suggest that cyber-bullying interventions need to also focus on experiences of victimisation and that reducing the adolescents moral disengagement and educating parents about the importance of monitoring adolescent Internet use would be most effective.
