1 Knowledge management capabilities and organizational risk-taking for business model innovation in SMEs
قابلیت های مدیریت دانش و ریسک پذیری سازمانی برای نوآوری مدل کسب و کار در شرکت های کوچک و متوسط-2021
In today’s business environment with fast growing communication and information technologies, knowledge management (KM) capabilities are a valuable source for innovation. However, little is known about the particular KM capabilities that lead to business model innovation (BMI) and whether their effect is dependent upon the firm’s orientation towards risk-taking. We examine the impact internal and external KM capabilities have on BMI and how these effects are moderated by its risk-taking tolerance. We empirically analyze a sample of 197 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) applying structural equation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). The results from the SEM indicate that particularly external KM ca- pabilities stimulate BMI. This relationship is strengthened for firms with a high risk-taking tolerance. Internal knowledge is only effective for firms with a low risk-taking tolerance. The fsQCA results substantiate these findings and refine the SEM by providing particular antecedent conditions for high levels of BMI.

2 Knowledge spillover, knowledge management capabilities, and innovation among returnee entrepreneurial firms in emerging markets: Does entrepreneurial ecosystem matter?
سرریز دانش، قابلیت‌های مدیریت دانش و نوآوری در میان شرکت‌های کارآفرین بازگشته در بازارهای نوظهور: آیا اکوسیستم کارآفرینی اهمیت دارد؟-2021
The paper brings an entrepreneurial ecosystem approach to examine the conditions under which returnee en- trepreneurs can overcome their liabilities and promote innovation in emerging markets. The existing literature has focused on how returnee entrepreneurial firms can transit knowledge to local firms with the assumption that the former are more innovative than the latter. However, returnee entrepreneurial firms themselves experience difficulties in achieving superior innovation performance as they face liabilities when returning to their home countries. In this paper, we argue that such firms can take advantage of the knowledge spillover in the entre- preneurial ecosystem to promote innovation performance by enhancing their own knowledge management capability. The empirical evidence supports this proposition. Although we proposed that this relationship is likely contingent upon the attributes of entrepreneurial ecosystem, empirical evidence does not support it. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

4 Effects of risks on the performance of business process outsourcing projects: The moderating roles of knowledge management capabilities
اثرات ریسک بر عملکرد پروژه های برون سپاری فرآیند کسب و کار: نقش تعدیل از قابلیت های مدیریت دانش-2018
Although business process outsourcing (BPO) can reduce cost and enhance the competitiveness of firms, the implementation of BPO projects is unsatisfactory. By integrating knowledge management capability theory and risk-based view, we develop a model of how different types of BPO risks affect project satisfaction and how knowledge management capability changes the influences of BPO risks. A survey of 121 BPO projects was conducted among BPO client department manager and project manager through a pairwise design. Empirical evidence reveals that social system, technical system, and project management risks negatively affect BPO project satisfaction. However, cultural, technological, and structural levels of knowledge management capabilities weaken the negative risk effects of social system, technical system, and project management, respectively. Different types of risks and knowledge management capabilities should be matched to achieve effective risk management.

6 Knowledge management capabilities and firm performance: A test of universalistic, contingency and complementarity perspectives
قابلیت های مدیریت دانش و عملکرد شرکت: آزمون جهانشمول، دیدگاه های احتمالی و مکمل-2015
Competing theoretical perspectives regarding the effects of knowledge management (KM) on perfor mance have underpinned past empirical studies. By explicitly surfacing and comparing three such per spectives, we contribute to the theoretical advancement of the KM field. We develop hypotheses consiste nt with the underlying logics of universalistic, complementarity and contingency theories and we empirically test these hypotheses to determine which is best supported. Data was collected from a sample of hospitality services firms operating in South Africa. Our results show that the universalistic persp ective is less preferred. We find support for the comp lementarity persp ective by revealing that cod ification and human capital KM capabilitie s interact to influence customer service outcomes. The contin gency perspective also received support as the links between KM capabilities and performa nce were found to be contingent on the business strategy of the firm. Our results suggest that future researchers should explicitly acknowledge the theoretical perspective from which they are observing the perfor mance impacts of KM and ensure that empirical tests are consistent with the logi c of the selected persp ective.
