1 Does managing customer accounts receivable impact customer relationships, and sales performance? An empirical investigation
The impact of accounts receivables on the performance of salespersons is largely ignored in sales literature. However, in many sales contexts, managing customers’ accounts receivables is directly managed by the sales- people, and therefore substantially impacts their sales performance. Towards such sales contexts, in this empirical study, we study the effect of customer account receivables and salespersons’ customer orientation on their relationship orientation and customer-related performance. We further analyse the direct impact of rela- tionship orientation on customer-related performance. Using survey-based data from 224 salespersons based out of India, we empirically test the proposed model using partial least squares structural equation modelling. Our findings suggest that accounts receivables from customers and salespersons ‘customer orientation strongly impact relationship building and also improves customer-related performance. The salespersons’ relationship orientation also partially mediates the relationship between customer account receivables and customer-related performance. Therefore, this study provides much-required evidence to establish the salience of salesforce appropriately managing customers’ account receivables so that its impact on their sales performance customer relationships are not adversely affected.

2 Nepotism, employees’ competencies and firm performance in the tourism sector: A dual multivariate and Qualitative Comparative Analysis approach
The paper identifies the critical competencies affecting Egyptian travel agents performance while assessing the negative influence of nepotism on such competencies. To address this aim, the study uses a holistic dual approach employing a multivariate technique using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and a configuration method through a fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA). Based on a sample of 500 travel agents employees, the results show that: (1) none of the competencies is sufficient to drive travel agents’ performance, (2) two distinct configurations of employee competencies are likely to result in high performance, and (3) nepotism has a direct negative influence on some of these competencies. The study holds important implications for both theory and practice.

3 Mobile social tourism shopping: A dual-stage analysis of a multi-mediation model
This study investigates mobile social tourism (MST) shopping, which refers to the use of MST platforms in shopping for tourism products and services, among Malaysian domestic tourists who have visited George Town, which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site located in Penang. Drawing upon the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) framework, a multi-mediation model is proposed to address this relatively new research avenue. Through the use of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling and Artificial Neural Network analyses, it was discovered that the environmental stimuli (i.e., perceived mobility, social presence, and system and service quality) directly and indirectly influence tourists MST shopping intention through their inner organism changes (i.e., perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment). The results support the application of the SOR framework in MST shopping, as most of the developed hypotheses are supported. Practical and theoretical implications are subsequently discussed in light of the results.

4 Residents attitude as determinant of tourism sustainability: The case of Trujillo
This research aims to gain knowledge to understand residents attitudes towards tourism sustainability in a destination where the main attraction is an archaeological site by analysing the effects of residents support and perceived benefits for tourism sustainability (in economic, market and social terms). The relationships between perceived benefits and residents support and among local involvement, attachment and perceived benefits were also examined. The proposed model was assessed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) regression. The data analysis showed that perceived benefits have a more significant effect on tourism sustainability than on residents support. Interestingly, the influence of community involvement was found to be stronger than community attachment on perceived benefits surrounding a Peruvian archaeological site. This study can assist scholars and managers by shedding light on the understanding of tourism sustainability from a performance viewpoint that considers both financial and non-financial terms.
