1 A hybrid Pythagorean fuzzy AHP – CoCoSo framework to rank the performance outcomes of circular supply chain due to adoption of its enablers
In the last few years, the Circular Supply Chain (CSC) has gained considerable attention among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. It offers immense opportunities to embrace supply chain operations in three dimensions of sustainability. This study aims to identify and rank the performance outcomes (POs) realized due to CSC enablers (CSCEs) adoption. The study proposes a hybrid framework of the Pythagorean fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (PF-AHP) and Pythagorean fuzzy combined compromised solution (PF-CoCoSo) to achieve the objectives of this research. PF-AHP is used to obtain the CSCEs relative weights while PF-CoCoSo is used to ranks the POs concerning the CSCEs. An empirical case study is conducted for an Indian manufacturing organization to demonstrate the proposed framework’s applicability. The result reveals that ‘global climate pressure and ecological scarcity of resources’ is the most significant CSCE to achieve the sustainability in the supply chain, followed by ‘government rules, legislations and directives for CSC adoption’, ‘environment management certifications and systems’, whereas, ‘reduces waste and promotes green development’ is the most critical PO realized due to adoption of CSCEs in CSC implementation process. The proposed framework is a systematic, more comprehensive, accurate, and structured approach to the business organization to improve its POs in a step-wise manner by implementing CSCEs. Sensitivity analysis is performed to check the effectiveness of the proposed framework. This research provides substantial contributions to sustainable development in the society as well as in the industry, and it will help researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working in the domain of CSC.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 2 Capturing heterogeneities in orchestrating resources for accurately forecasting high (separately low) project management performance
Applying complexity theory tenets, the study here contributes an asymmetric modeling perspective for examining resources orchestrations that indicate high (separately low) project management performance (PMP) accurately. Complexity theory tenets include recognizing that the causal conditions resulting in high PMP have different conditions (i.e., ingredients) typically than the causal conditions resulting in low PMP—adopting this perspective supports the usefulness of asymmetric point or interval estimation rather than the currently pervasive symmetric approach to theory construction and empirical modeling of variable directional relationships (VDR). This study constructs a general model and specific configurational propositions that include social capital, processes, and knowledge management effectiveness as causal conditions indicating case outcomes of high and separately low PMP. Using survey data, the study includes examining propositions and models empirically on the causal conditions for completed projects (n ¼ 302, USA sample of executives in product and service industrial firms). The findings support the perspective that high (as well as low) PMP depends on resource orchestration (configurational) antecedent conditions. The findings serve to support the general proposition that applications of complexity theory in project management research respond effectively in building in the requisite variety for deep understanding and accurate forecasting of performance outcomes. This study includes contributions to theory and empirical research that support the perspective that separate sets of resource orchestrations of alternative complex antecedents (rather than a V Keywords: Algorithms | Configurations | Knowledge management effectiveness | Performance | Project management | Social capital

3 Fostering B2B sales with customer big data analytics
This study focuses on the use of big data analytics in managing B2B customer relationships and examines the effects of big data analytics on customer relationship performance and sales growth using a multi-industry dataset from 417 B2B firms. The study also examines whether analytics culture within a firm moderates these effects. The study finds that the use of customer big data significantly fosters sales growth (i.e. monetary performance outcomes) and enhances the customer relationship performance (non-monetary performance outcomes). However, the latter effect is stronger for firms which have an analytics culture which supports marketing analytics, whereas the former effect remains unchanged regardless of the analytics culture. The study empirically confirms that customer big data analytics improves customer relationship performance and sales growth in B2B firms.

4 Moderating effects of person and job characteristics on digital monitoring outcomes
Many individuals perceive digital monitoring to be an inherently negative practice that invades privacy, but recent research suggests that it has positive effects for workers under certain circumstances. This review expands upon existing digital monitoring frameworks by adopting a psychological perspective to explain individual and contextual variation in monitoring reactions. To do so, we identify person characteristics (e.g. trait reactance, self-efficacy, ethical orientation, goal orientation) and job characteristics (e.g. manual versus nonmanual labor, autonomy, task significance) that moderate workers’ reactions and performance outcomes while being digitally monitored. Future research on moderators such as these will remain important as organizations continue to collect big data using digital monitoring.

6 Performance outcomes of offshoring, backshoring and staying at home manufacturing
The objective of this paper is to advance the understanding of performance outcomes of companies pursuing different strategies in moving manufacturing abroad and moving it back again. The study is based on a large-scale survey of perceptual data from 233 senior managers in manufacturing companies. Furthermore, secondary performance data of return on capital employed is included in the analysis. Companies that have an explicit corporate manufacturing strategy report better operational performance in terms of product quality, lead time and flexibility than companies that do not have such a strategy. The analysis does not reveal any differences in productivity among companies that have offshored, backshored, or maintained manufacturing at home. Companies that have offshored manufacturing report lower unit costs than companies that have applied a staying at home strategy. No significant level of difference in unit costs was found when comparing companies that have backshored manufacturing and companies that have maintained manufacturing at home. Companies that have offshored manufacturing report that they can extract detailed component, product and process data from their cost-accounting systems to a higher degree. The paper stresses the importance of access to, and the quality of, cost-accounting data to make informed strategic manufacturing decisions, and how such decisions may affect operational and cost performance. The paper provides novel empirical insights on cost performance, operational performance and cost accounting data among manufacturers pursuing different strategies of moving manufacturing abroad and back to home destinations.

7 A meta-analytic study of the impact of Lean Production on business performance
Lean Production (LP) is one of the most common initiatives in Operations Management that firms adopt to boost their competitiveness. The purpose of this paper is to examine the extant research on the relationship between LP and business performance (BP). The study analyses the data from 30 articles published from 2000 to 2016 that meet two targeted criteria, that they have: (i) empirically analysed the relationship between LP, or any measure of LP, and at least one measure of BP, and (ii) reported the effect size of the relationship between LP and BP measured with Pearsons correlation coefficients or related methods. Distinctions are made between two different performance outcomes (financial and market) and six LP practices. Using the Hunter and Schmidt (2004) meta-analysis based correlations approach, the obtained results show that a positive and moderate relationship exists between aggregate level LP and aggregate level business performance (r ̅´ = 0.31). There is also a positive relationship with market performance, but not with financial performance. Only three individual practices are statistically related to business performance (Process Control and Improvement, Workforce Development, and Customer Focus). The countrys level of economic development is also found to act as a moderating variable in several of the studied relationships and to have a greater effect in Emerging Economies than in Advanced Economies.

8 Enhancing hotel brand performance through fostering brand relationship orientation in the minds of consumers
Hotels are becoming increasingly oriented towards developing relationships with their consumers (patrons/guests), giving rise to a heavy focus on consumer-brand relationships in tourism and hospitality research. This study examines the extent to which consumers’ perceived relationship orientations of hotel brands (i.e., PBRO) influences their identification with and anticipated emotions towards hotel brands, which in turn drives desirable performance outcomes for hotels such as the share of wallet, consideration set size, and revisit intention. To test our hypotheses, we recruited 376 respondents via Amazon Mechanical Turk (Mturk). We found that consumer-brand identification and anticipated emotions mediate the relationship between perceived brand relationship orientation and all performance outcome variables. These mediating effects are moderated by consumer involvement with hotel choice. Specifically, consumer involvement positively moderates the link between PBRO and consumer-brand identification and negatively moderates the effects of PBRO on anticipated emotions.

9 Performance consequences of social capital in online communities: The roles of exchange and combination, and absorptive capacity
Many organizations support online communities of practice (OCOPs) as part of their knowledge man agement strategies. Despite some prior investigation of the potential benefits of OCOPs, the effects of OCOPs on behaviors and performance outcomes are not well understood. Drawing on social capital theory and absorptive capacity literature, this paper addresses three research questions: (1) How does social capital influence exchange and combination behaviors in online communities of practice? (2) How do exchange and combination behaviors affect the performance of individuals and the OCOP? (3) How does absorptive capacity moderate the impact of exchange and combination behaviors on individual and OCOP performance? The empirical study is based on online survey data from 253 participants in OCOPs and qualitative analysis of online postings. The results indicate that cognitive and structural capital facilitate exchange and combination behaviors in OCOPs, but relational capital does not. Moreover, ex change and combination behaviors facilitate the performance of individuals as well as the OCOP, and a higher level of absorptive capacity enhances these effects. The findings are discussed in detail, along with their theoretical and practical implications, and directions for future research.

10 Knowledge transfer and organizational innovation: Impacts of quality and environmental management
The aim of this paper is to explore the joint effects of quality and environmental management on firms’ innovation by addressing the role of knowledge transfer. While previous research has focused on the direct contribution of quality and environmental management to performance outcomes, to the best of our knowledge there has been no research aimed at understanding their joint effect on innovation. Furthermore, we have included knowledge transfer in order to better explain this impact. From 136 questionnaires completed by companies operating in Tunisia, interesting results were generated through structural equation modelling. Both quality and environmental management, which are related, posi tively influence knowledge transfer and innovation. In addition, knowledge transfer contributes posi tively to innovation. Overall, our findings show that knowledge transfer has a positive role in the combined impact of quality and environmental management on innovation.
