13 Developing and solving an integrated model for production routing in sustainable closed-loop supply chain
توسعه و حل یک مدل یکپارچه برای مسیر یابی تولید در زنجیره تأمین حلقه بسته پایدار-2021
Social and environmental sustainability has gained increasing importance in today’s complex supply chains. Accordingly, an integrated model for production routing in the sustainable closed-loop supply chain is presented in the current study. A three-objective mathematical model is also proposed to minimize supply chain costs, maximize social responsibility or social benefits, and finally, minimize environmental emissions. Sample trial problems are solved in three groups of the small, medium, and large size using the BCO algorithm. To prove the efficiency of this algorithm, its results are compared with the results using the NSGA-II algorithm in terms of comparative metrics such as quality, diversity, and spacing, as well as the runtime to the solution. According to the results, in all cases, the BCO algorithm outperformed the NSGA-II algorithm as it achieved more qualitative and near-optimal solutions. Also, the diversity metric values showed that the BCO algorithm is stronger in the exploration and extraction of the solution feasible region. The results of the metric of spacing and runtime to solution also showed that the NSGA-II algorithm achieves the solution in lower runtime than the BCO algorithm and searches solutions space in a more uniform manner.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 14 Trustworthy authorization method for security in Industrial Internet of Things
روش مجوز معتبر برای امنیت در اینترنت اشیا صنعتی-2021
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) realizes machine-to-machine communication and human–computer inter- action (HCI) through communication network, which makes industrial production automatic and intelligent. Security is critical in IIoT because of the interconnection of intelligent industrial equipment. In IIoT environment, legitimate human–computer interaction can only be performed by authorized professionals, and unauthorized access is not tolerated. In this paper, a reliable authentication method based on biological information is proposed. Specifically, the complete local binary pattern (CLPB) and the statistical local binary pattern (SLPB) are introduced to describe the local vein texture characteristics. Meanwhile, the contrast energy and frequency domain information are regarded as auxiliary information to interpret the finger vein. The distance between the features of the registration image and the test image is used to recognize the finger vein image, so as to realize identity authentication. The experiments are carried out on SDUMLA-FV database and FV-USM database, and results show that the presented method has achieved high recognition accuracy.

15 Towards resilient and sustainable supply of critical elements from the copper supply chain: A review
به سمت تأمین انعطاف پذیر و پایدار عناصر حیاتی از زنجیره تامین مس: یک مرور-2021
The highly specialized materials needed for the de-carbonization of energy, smart devices and the internet of things have created supply concerns of critical elements used in these applications. Several critical elements are produced as by-products from base metal mining and processing. Increasing the capture of critical elements from existing operations should lead to a more resilient and sustainable supply of these elements. Towards this goal, this paper presents a review of the distribution behavior of five critical elements (selenium, tellurium, arsenic, antimony and bismuth) through the primary copper pyrometallurgical supply chain. This review identifies gaps in the distribution/concentration data of these elements in deposits and during mineral processing. Smelter dusts, refinery slimes and electrolyte are points of enrichment that can be targeted for additional recovery of these elements. Using published data, copper smelter dusts appear to contain enough arsenic and bismuth to meet the world’s supply needs. Industrial data collected from 29 refineries and represents ~46% of the worlds electrorefining production was extrapolated to examine the contained annual content of these five elements. Copper anodes contain 7900 tones/yr of selenium, 2300 tonnes/yr of tellurium, 24,000 tones/yr arsenic, 7100tonnes/yr of antimony and 5100 tones/yr of bismuth. The selenium and tellurium contents are 2–3 times and 4–5 times more than the current world’s annual production of these elements, respectively. While technology development in the processing of smelter dusts and refinery slimes could provide important breakthroughs, government and corporate collaboration are likely needed to encourage increased recovery of selenium, tellurium, arsenic, antimony and bismuth from the primary copper pyrometallurgical supply chain.

16 The politics behind scientific knowledge: Sustainable forest management in Latin America
سیاست پشت دانش علمی: مدیریت جنگل پایدار در آمریکای لاتین-2021
Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) seeks to achieve an equilibrium in the economic, social and environ- mental value of all types of forests. This practice contrasts with the conventional view of managing forests, in which the focus is productivity. Thus, discussions about conventional forest management versus sustainable forest management play a central role in the political and scientific agendas. However, knowledge production and its direction can be biased by different contextual factors such as the way funding is assigned by each country, institutional priorities, and constraints on international cooperation. With this paper, we aim to analyze the contribution of scientific knowledge produced in Latin America within the sustainable forest management research landscape by applying a literature review method (Scopus database for 2015–2018 period). Our results show a similar contribution of national and foreign funds and institutions supporting scientific knowledge about SFM in Latin America. Foreign funding comes mainly from United States of America, and Europe. Latin American authors lead high proportion of scientific articles, and authorship gender was more equitable between male and female researchers. The studies were mostly focused on conservation combined with productivity goals, as well as pure conservation goals, although social studies and restoration goals were also present. Our findings highlight a significant contribution to the paradigm shift in half of the scientific articles. Some studies provided recom- mendations (specific or general) derived from their results, but we did not detected a clear relationship with funding origin. Moreover, we found that the high contribution to the paradigm shift (studies supporting SFM instead of traditional management) came from institutions based in Latin America. This article aims to contribute to discussions related to scientific funding in Latin America, the North-South scientific relations, and the future of forest in times of climate change.

17 Reconfiguration of electrical distribution network-based DG and capacitors allocations using artificial ecosystem optimizer: Practical case study
پیکربندی مجدد تخصیص DG و خازن مبتنی بر شبکه توزیع الکتریکی با استفاده از بهینه ساز اکوسیستم مصنوعی: مطالعه موردی عملی-2021
In this article, a new implementation of Artificial Ecosystem Optimizer (AEO) technique is developed for distributed generators (DGs) and capacitors allocation considering the Reconfiguration of Power Distribution Systems (RPDS). The AEO is inspired from three energy transfer mechanisms involving production, consumption, and decomposition in an ecosystem. In the production mechanism, the production operator allows AEO to produce a new individual randomly, whereas the search space exploration can be improved as illustrated in the consumption mechanism and exploitation can be performed in the decomposition. A practical case study of 59-bus Cairo distribution system in Egypt is simulated with different loading percentages. For optimizing the performance of that practical network, the AEO algorithm is employed for different scenarios. Besides, the results obtained by recent optimization techniques which are Jellyfish Search Optimizer (JFS), Supply Demand Optimizer (SDO), Crow Search Optimizer (CSO), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) are compared with the developed AEO. The simulation results demonstrate the efficacies and superiority of the AEO compared to the others. It surpasses the other algorithms in terms of obtaining the best, mean, worst, and standard deviations. After optimal RPDS and DGs placements, the power losses are decreased by 78.4, 77.84 and 71.4% at low, nominal and high levels, respectively. However, the best scenario with its application prospects is mentioned after optimal RPDS, DGs, and capacitors where the power losses are decreased by 68.8, 85.87 and 89.91% at low, nominal and high levels, respectively.

18 Inventory model for sustainable operations of a closed-loop supply chain: Role of a third-party refurbisher
مدل موجودی برای عملیات پایدار یک زنجیره تأمین حلقه بسته: نقش یک مرمت کننده شخص ثالث-2021
Journal Pre-proof This paper investigates the joint decision on inventory and refurbishing strategies in a closed-loop supply chain, consisting of a manufacturer responsible for the production and first-market sales and a third-party refurbisher responsible for the refurbishment and second market. Based on a game-theoretic model, we investigate the effects of supply chain structures on the production operations, sales price of a refurbished product, profits and environmental performance. Through numerical analyses, we reveal that the integrated system yields higher first-market sales and a larger production lot size, while the decentralized one shows higher second-market sales and a larger refurbishing lot. Interestingly, the integrated system sets the higher price for the refurbished item due to channel conflict issues. Efforts to increase the second-market sales can harm the over- all supply chain profit by leading to the decrease in the higher-margin first-market sales. We also show that the difference in pricing decisions and inventory holding cost components allows a better operational performance of the third-party refurbishers process in the decentralized system. Then, it leads to the better environmental performance in the decentralized system, enhancing the refurbishing rate and sales of refurbished items while reducing scrap costs. By investigating the overall performance of integrated and decentralized supply chains, we offer important implications to practicing supply chain managers by revealing how the third-party refurbisher can help the sustainable operations of a closed-loop supply chain. We also contribute to the body of knowledge by incorporating pricing and lot sizing issues into the context of closed-loop supply chain management.

19 Conceptual MINLP approach to the development of a CO2 supply chain network – Simultaneous consideration of capture and utilization process flowsheets
رویکرد مفهومی MINLP برای توسعه یک شبکه زنجیره تامین CO2 - در نظر گرفتن همزمان صفحه های جریان فرآیند ضبط و استفاده-2021
A large fraction of anthropogenic CO2 emissions comes from large point sources such as power plants, petroleum refineries, and large industrial facilities. A significant decrease of these CO2 emissions can be achieved with CO2 capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. This study proposes a conceptually simplified model for the optimization of combined CO2 supply networks and capture and utilization technologies by the mixed-integer non-linear programming (MINLP) approach. The objective is to maximize the profit of CCUS technologies, considering chemisorption using methyl-diethanolamine (MDEA) as a capture technology and conversion of CO2 to CH3OH as a utilization technology. Additionally, avoided tax from reduced CO2 emissions is considered as a revenue. A hypothetical case study of five larger point sources of CO2 was investigated, namely coal power plants, biogas plant, aluminium production plant and two cement plants. Two scenarios were considered: i) Scenario A considering different values of the CO2 tax, and ii) Scenario B considering different flue gas flowrates at different values of the CO2 tax. The results show the potential of model-based optimization in reducing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by CCUS technology. Furthermore, the results in Scenario A show that CCUStechnology is only profitable if the price of CO2 emissions is higher than 110 €/t emitted CO2. Moreover, the results in Scenario B show that both the profit and the production of CH3OH depend to a large extent on the flue gas flow.

20 A detailed MILP formulation for the optimal design of advanced biofuel supply chains
یک فرمول دقیق MILP برای طراحی بهینه زنجیره های پیشرفته تأمین سوخت زیستی-2021
The optimal design of a biomass supply chain is a complex problem, which must take into account multiple interrelated factors (i.e the spatial distribution of the network nodes, the efficient planning of logistics activities, etc.). Mixed Integer Linear Programming has proven to be an effective mathematical tool for the optimization of the design and the management strategy of Advanced Biofuel Supply Chains (ABSC). This work presents a MILP formulation of the economical optimization of ABSC design, comprising the definition of the associated weekly management plan. A general modeling approach is proposed with a network structure comprising two intermediate echelons (storage and conversion facilities) and accounts for train and truck freight transport. The model is declined for the case of a multi- feedstock ABSC for green methanol production tested on the Italian case study. Residual biomass feed- stocks considered are woodchips from primary forestry residues, grape pomace, and exhausted olive pomace. The calculated cost of methanol is equal to 418.7 V/t with conversion facility cost accounting for 50% of the fuel cost share while transportation and storage costs for around 15%. When considering only woodchips the price of methanol increases to 433.4 V/t outlining the advantages of multi-feedstock approach.© 2021 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
