1 Optimizing temporary work and overtime in the Time Cost Quality Trade-offProblem
بهینه سازی کار موقت و اضافه کاری در مسٔله تقابل کیفیت هزینه زمان -2020
In spite of its significant contribution to project success, quality has been scarcely addressed in the lit- erature on deterministic project scheduling problems. Although it is recognized that higher qualities are associated with longer processing times, no relationship between quality and resource consumption has been analytically derived to support this statement. As manufacturing projects can be accelerated us- ing additional manpower such as overtime and temporary workers, we derive an analytical relationship between quality and manpower since overtime and overmanning negate quality. We also take into ac- count productivity losses due to overmanning. Contrary to most previous contributions that focus on the project overall quality as an aggregation of quality levels attained at the individual activities, we impose each activity to reach a minimum quality threshold, which is consistent with project management prac- tices. Consequently, we develop a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) to optimize temporary work and overtime so as to accelerate a project with quality and productivity considerations. The objective is to simultaneously determine for each activity the number of permanent, temporary and overtime work- ers over the processing periods in order to minimize the makespan, the total cost and the overall quality losses subject to individual quality constraints, precedence relationships, nonpreemption and availability of resources. Our approach is successfully applied on numerous instances based on a real project of a high speed locomotive as well as on other projects taken from the literature.

2 FlatDTW – Dynamic Time Warping optimization for piecewise constant templates
FlatDTW - بهینه سازی چرخش زمان پویا برای الگوهای ثابت چند بعدی-2019
The aim of this work is to construct and analyze a method of optimization of the Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) algorithm – a well-known and popular pattern recognition tool. DTW is typically used to evaluate the degree of similarity between time series subjected to non-linear time warping, which is a common problem i.a. in speech recognition, music information retrieval, motion analysis and gesture recognition. Based on the dynamic programming principle, DTW is computed efficiently in O(N2)time, which contributes to its popularity and makes it applicable in many real-time scenarios. In this paper we propose amethod of DTW algorithm optimization in the case when one of the time series may be modeled as a piecewise constant sequence. Such sequences, composed of several “flat” sections, typically occur when real-world data are compared to some predefined templates, as in the task of matching a melody sung by a user to a MIDI-based template melody (a.k.a. Query-by-Singing/Humming, QbH). The modified DTW processes such templates in amore efficient way reducing the computational complexity. The obtained speed-up of the algorithm is not associated with any quality loss of the matching process results.

3 A fuzzy expert system for mitigation of risks and effective control of gas pressure reduction stations with a real application
یک سیستم خبره فازی برای کاهش خطرات و کنترل مؤثر ایستگاه های کاهش فشار گاز با کاربرد واقعی-2019
Environmental changes and increased uncertainty due to technical damage, explosions and large fires have caused the risk of an inevitable element in the gas industry. This study purposes developing a new hybrid fuzzy expert system as a decision support system to mitigate the risk associated with gas transmission stations. The designed knowledge-based system combines the procedural and descriptive rules based on experts’ judgments to analyze the complex relationships between the different components of a gas pressure reduction station. The developed fuzzy expert system is coded in C language integrated production system (CLIPS) and is linked with MATLAB software for calling fuzzy functions. A real case study of gas pressure reduction stations in Iranian gas industry is conducted to validate the proposed expert system model. The expert system provides more than one thousand rules based on expert knowledge to prevent the pressure drop and the quality loss of gas or shutting off gas flow which accordingly increases gas flow stability. The proposed expert system could minimize the risk of hazardous scenarios, such as leakage and corrosion, in the gas industry and provide an acceptable precision in the provision of periodic control strategies and appropriate response under an emergency condition.

4 Nutritional deterioration of stored Zea mays L: along supply chain in southwestern Ethiopia: Implication for unseen dietary hunger
وخامت غذایی ذخیره شده ذرت در طول زنجیره تامین در جنوب غربی اتیوپی: کاربرد در زمینه گرسنگی در رژیم غذایی نهان-2017
Maize plays a key role in household food security in southwestern Ethiopia, but its benefits have been negated by high post-harvest losses. Previous loss assessment and management studies have focused mainly on quantity losses. This study was therefore designed to assess nutritional quality losses of stored maize along the supply chain in Jimma Zone, southwestern Ethiopia. Three districts representing po tential maize producers and different agro-ecological regimes for maize production were selected for analyses. Sample collection started at harvest and continued for six months at two-month intervals from 21 selected actors along the supply chain. The experiment was conducted for two seasons, and a total of 72 samples were collected during each season. Both nutritional and anti-nutritional analyses were carried out following the international standards of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists. Data were analysed using SAS software (version 9.2) using a general linear model (GLM). The result revealed that moisture content significantly decreases (P < 0.05) as storage duration increases under different actors and agro-ecological conditions. But, showed increment during the final months under farmers storage conditions. In addition, moisture content at the loading stage was not optimal for safe storage. Crude protein, crude fat, carbohydrate, and calorific value content significantly decreased (P < 0.05) as the storage duration increased, but fibre, ash, and major mineral (Ca, Zn, and Fe) content increased significantly over the storage period. Phytate and tannin content varied with storage duration and agro ecological setting. Storing maize under traditional conditions along the supply chain resulted in sub stantial quality losses. This has great implications for nutrition insecurity and unrecognized under nourishment in the society. Additionally, substantial increases in fibre content above the optimum have important effects on nutrient absorption. There is thus a need to develop and disseminate appropriate storage technologies that minimize quality loss in maize stores.
