Implementation of a teleimmersion homecoming support system for supporting inpatients

families by combining a head-mounted display, a 360-degree camera, and a remote control robot.
This system realizes real-time remote communication between inpatients and their families and
provides inpatients with a “homecoming” feeling. Furthermore, inpatients can experience a
realistic home space by operating the remote control robot with a 360-degree camera installed at
home and enjoying family conversations with the voice call function. To evaluate this system, we
conducted a questionnaire survey on the operability, necessity, functionality, and presence of this
system. More than 80% of the subjects answered positively in the evaluation of the necessity,
functionality, and presence of this system. However, in the operability evaluation, 30% of the

Influence of workforce agility on crisis management: Role of job characteristics and higher administrative support in public administration

Crisis situations hardly give much time to the individuals and organizations for preparation. Accordingly, it is more
likely that an agile workforce will better manage crisis in government organizations. This study explores
the influence of workforce agility, on crisis management by government departments and examines the
probable role of higher administrative support, and job characteristics over crisis management. Data were
collected through a questionnaire survey from 263 government administrative officers of Odisha, India.
Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyse the data with the help of AMOS. The results indicate
that workforce agility, higher administrative support, and enriched job characteristics contribute towards
better crisis management. Furthermore, higher administrative support, and enriched job characteristics
were found to be antecedents of workforce agility and influence crisis management through the mediator
workforce agility. The findings of this study will be helpful for government agencies and departments in
creating an agile workforce for effective management of crisis.

Innovation capability: The impact of e-CRM and COVID-19 risk perception

hospitality industry. The objective of this paper is to investigate the impact of e-CRM components (i.e.
technology-based CRM, knowledge management and customer orientation) on firms’ innovation capabilities.
Data was collected through a structured questionnaire survey conducted in Vietnam. The dataset consists of 213
valid responses by managers. Correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were employed to
examine the causal relationships among technology-based CRM, knowledge management, customer orientation,
long-term relationships and innovation capability. The results show that knowledge management, customer
orientation and technology-based CRM have positively influence on long-term relationships and innovation
capability. Covid-19 risk perception has the role in enhancing the link between long-term relationships and
innovation capability. From these findings, this study provides an improved understanding of how knowledge
management, customer orientation and technology affect on innovating activities. This study also provides

Appropriation of accounting information system use under the new IFRS: Impacts on accounting process performance
تخصیص استفاده از سیستم اطلاعات حسابداری تحت IFRS جدید: تاثیرات بر عملکرد پردازش حسابداری-2021 The newly issued International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) have significantly transformed the ac-
counting process and the accounting information system (AIS). Confronting the changes in information tech-
nologies (IT), using the AIS appropriately is crucial to derive accurate information from which to process
business transactions and report information in compliance with the new IFRS. Built on adaptive structuration
theory (AST), this study is aimed toward investigating how accounting regulatory changes influence AIS use,
which consequently affects accounting process performance. Data are collected through a questionnaire survey of
250 accountants from 36 countries currently using the IFRS as their accounting standards. The results show that
perceived system restrictiveness, IT professional support, and accountant’s self-efficacy significantly explain
faithfulness of appropriation (FOA) whereas perceived effectiveness of controls on IT use does not. FOA in-
fluences exploitive and exploratory task adaptations, which subsequently predict accounting process perfor-
mance under the new IFRS. This study enriches the AST literature and contributes to both the accounting and IT
domains. Our findings provide organizations with new insights into how to maintain the efficiency of accounting

An exploratory study of the adaptation of green supply chain management in construction industry: The case of Indian Construction Companies
مطالعه اکتشافی در مورد سازگاری مدیریت زنجیره تأمین سبز در صنعت ساختمان: مورد شرکتهای ساختمانی هند-2021 Indian construction industry has not been addressed adequately in the context of green supply chain practices. However, various drivers, enablers and barriers for adoption of green supply chain practices have been reported in the literature. In view of these stylists facts, the main aim of the present research work is first to investigate the adaptability of green supply chain practices by various categories of Indian construction companies followed by identifying the correlation of drivers, enablers and barriers with the construction industry readiness of adaptation of green supply chain practices. Finally, these drivers, enablers and barriers are prioritized by using the AHP methodology. A questionnaire survey was disseminated to senior construction project managers of Indian construction companies having different size as well as area of operations. Preliminary analysis is performed by using the descriptive statistics. Four hypotheses are tested using ANOVA and spearman’s correlation coefficient. The priority structure of drivers, enablers and barriers is also developed by using the AHP methodology. Results demonstrate that institutional theory, complexity theory, ecological modernization theory, resource-based view and resource dependency theory are well supported. The study will be helpful for the construction project managers/clean production policy makers in taking more informed, systematic and efficient decisions, while adapting the sustainable supply chain practices in the context of construction industry.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. Resilience to crises of Thai MICE stakeholders: A longitudinal study of the destination image of Thailand as a MICE destination

This study aims to identify the changing destination image of Thailand as a MICE destination during crises and examine the resilience of Thai MICE stakeholders. A mixed method of qualitative and quantitative design was employed using interviews, observations and questionnaire surveys. A longitudinal study of Thai MICE stakeholders during 14 years revealed that the Buddhist concepts of resilience and Thainess contribute to psychological resilience. Buddhism and Thainess cultivate the concept of crisis concierge. Surveys showed unchanged image of exhibition facilities during the political instability. Thailands incentive travel benefits from the availability of bleisure (a combination of business and leisure) attractions. Good value for money, Thai hospitality, bleisure attractions, and international standard venues are key resilient factors. Understanding the impact of business analytics on innovation
درک تأثیر تحلیل های تجاری بر نوآوری-2020 Advances in Business Analytics in the era of Big Data have provided unprecedented opportunities for or- ganizations to innovate. With insights gained from Business Analytics, companies are able to develop new or improved products/services. However, few studies have investigated the mechanism through which Business Analytics contributes to a firm’s innovation success. This research aims to address this gap by theoretically and empirically investigating the relationship between Business Analytics and innovation. To achieve this aim, absorptive capacity theory is used as a theoretical lens to inform the development of a research model. Absorptive capacity theory refers to a firm’s ability to recognize the value of new, external information, assimilate it and apply it to commercial ends. The research model covers the use of Business Analytics, environmental scanning, data-driven culture, innovation (new product newness and meaningfulness), and competitive advantage. The research model is tested through a questionnaire survey of 218 UK businesses. The results suggest that Business Analytics directly improves environmental scan- ning which in turn helps to enhance a company’s innovation. Business Analytics also directly enhances data-driven culture that in turn impacts on environmental scanning. Data-driven culture plays another important role by moderating the effect of environmental scanning on new product meaningfulness. The findings demonstrate the positive impact of business analytics on innovation and the pivotal roles of en- vironmental scanning and data-driven culture. Organizations wishing to realize the potential of Business Analytics thus need changes in both their external and internal focus. Sustainable reverse logistics scorecards for the performance measurement of informal e-waste businesses

Furthermore, due to the domination of informal businesses in many developing countries, environmental rules are not considered during operation, and these violations tend to affect public health adversely. The government in these developing countries finds it difficult to manage and utilize e-waste due to insufficient resources properly. The existing performance measures are only appropriate for imple- mentation in developed countries with the inability to assess informal e-waste businesses in developing countries. Therefore, to address this gap, this research proposes sustainable reverse logistics scorecards (SRLS) to identify informal e-waste businesses performance. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with eleven experts, questionnaire survey with one hundred eighty-six informal e-waste businesses in Indonesia using the snowball sampling method and by measurement identification using the statistical descriptive analysis such as mean, geometric mean, mode, and sign-test median including experts confirmation. The results showed that there are twenty-two parameters from six perspectives namely financial, stakeholders value, internal business processes, innovation and growth, environment, and social. These parameters can be used as a performance measurement following government regulation and adjusting the motivation, strategy, capability, and activities of informal e- waste businesses. They are also useful for practical assessment and decision purposes, such as process safety and economic impact evaluation of businesses with the ability to create job opportunities, satisfy employees, and provide persuasive incentives. The balance between environment, welfare, and e-waste management is realized through SRLS. We suggested that other researchers use these parameters to assess the performance of informal e- waste throughout Indonesia and the government considered these parameters to assess them before deciding to collaborate for handling e-waste problems. Sustainability-informed multi-criteria decision support framework for ranking and prioritization of pavement sections

undertakings for several departments of transportation around the globe. This is a complex decisionmaking
problem because multiple and conflicting criteria can contribute to the assessment. Multicriteria
decision analysis (MCDA) techniques evaluate the trade-off between several quantitative and
qualitative criteria and facilitate complex decision-making. This research introduces a framework based
on MCDA to support pavement management decision making, while quantifying emerging
sustainability-related factors such as safety, noise, and pollution in the decision-making process. The
framework features include 1) identifying pavement management main decision elements: objectives,
criteria, and attributes by detailing the problem with a five-level hierarchy structure; 2) employing
combined analytic hierarchy process and multi-attribute utility theory to develop representative set of
utility functions; and 3) ranking and prioritizing large networks of pavement sections while incorporating
sustainability-related criteria. Data used to assess the decision criteria and develop the utility
functions is extracted by means of a questionnaire survey completed by professionals working in the
field of pavement management. The proposed method is applied to a case study consisting of ten
pavement sections extracted from the long-term pavement performance database, wherein the sections
are ranked based on their attributes. Sensitivity analysis is performed to evaluate the impact of the
different criteria on the ranking process. The proposed method has shown potential in ranking pavement
networks based on the identified criteria. Future work can test the performance of the proposed
methodology with a full-scale pavement network and apply it to other civil infrastructure assets to

Fuzzy modelling of the critical failure factors for modular integrated construction projects
مدل سازی فازی از عوامل شکست مهمی برای پروژه های ساختمانی یکپارچه مدولار-2020 Modular integrated construction (MiC) is a game-changing cleaner construction approach which improves
construction project performances. For many types of buildings, MiC is increasingly becoming a
preferred construction method. However, MiC projects have generated mixed outcomes; many of them
encountered problems and even failed. Yet, there is limited knowledge of the reasons why MiC projects
may fail. This research identified and evaluated 22 potential critical failure factors (CFFs) for MiC projects,
based on a structured questionnaire survey with international experts. A mean score analysis showed
that all the identified CFFs are significant factors causing MiC project failure. A structure detection
analysis of the CFFs generated a 4-factor solution explaining about 72.34% of the total variance in the
failure of MiC projects. The 4 principal failure factors (PFFs) for MiC projects comprise poor design and
dimensional variability management, poor stakeholder and supply chain management, limited technical
knowledge, capability and experience, and late commitment. A fuzzy modelling of the CFFs revealed that
all the 4 PFFs are significant factors causing MiC project failure. The inclusive findings of the research
have useful implications. Theoretically, the findings contribute to the useful checklist of generic CFFs for
MiC projects. Practically, the research prioritized the CFFs, which may serve as a useful managementsupport
