1 How experiential consumption moderates the effects of souvenir authenticity on behavioral intention through perceived value

This study investigates the relationships among souvenir authenticity, perceived value (PV) and behavioral intention (BI) in the context of experiential consumption. Using the customer data from the Pearl River Delta region of China, this empirical study adopts a PLS-SEM model to further examine the mediating effect of PV and the moderating effect of experiential consumption on the relationship between souvenir authenticity and BI. In comparison with the non-experiential consumption setting, souvenir authenticity was found to have a greater positive effect on the BI of tourist through PV in the experiential consumption setting. In addition, different dimensions of authenticity and PV are emphasized during souvenir purchases in the experiential consumption. These results deepen the understanding of souvenir authenticity and PV as well as the effects of experiential consumption for postmodern tourists. Managerial implications are provided for practitioners.

2 Souvenir shopping experiences: A case study of Chinese tourists in North Korea
تجربات خرید سوغاتی: یک مطالعه موردی روی گردشگران چینی در کره شمالی-2018
This study (premised on inductive approaches) examines Chinese tourists’ souvenir shopping experiences in North Korea, a unique destination by reason of its strict controls over tourism, where even a self-drive tourist must have a North Korean guide in the car accompanying the driver and passengers. Consequently tourist souvenir shopping can only be undertaken at approved retail outlets, The paper reports findings based on fifty in-depth interviews analysed with the help of Leximancer textual analysis software. This study confirms that, in this context, gift-giving for relatives and friends remains an important motivation for Chinese tourists to purchase souvenirs. The most popular souvenir was traditional Chinese medicine, especially for elderly tourists. Chinese tourists described their North Korean souvenir shopping experience from four aspects: store attributes, payment methods, tour guides, and souvenir sellers. Further analysis show that elderly tourists recalled memories of their childhood while shopping in North Korean Souvenir shops. Finally, based on these findings, a model of tourist shopping is suggested.

در سالهای اخیر، الگوهای مصرف گردشگری با کاهش طول اقامت شناخته شده اند که سعی کرده است تا ازطریق افزایش هزینه های روزانه گردشگر یا افزایش تعداد گردشگران، اثر آن را خنثی کند. برای درک تاثیر این تغییرات روی صنعت های مسافرتی و مهمانداری، این مقاله یک تحلیل تجزیه ای را بین هزینه شخصی روزانه و طول اقامت گردشگران به عهده گرفته است. جایی که هزینه اتفاق می افتد، ازطریق تمایز بین هزینه های اقامتی و غیر اقامتی، و دسته های مختلف هزینه ای شامل هزینه های سرگرمی و تفریح، رستوران ها، حمل و نقل، گردش، هدایا و سوغاتی ها و هزینه های غذا و نوشیدنی در فروشگاهها در تحلیل تجزیه ای مدنظر قرار می گیرند. هدف از نتایج، شناسایی دسته های مختلف گردشگران می باشد که روی طول اقامت و هزینه های روزانه گردشگر تاثیرات مختلف قابل انتظاری را دارند، یک نتیجه ای که می تواند برای اهداف مدیریت گردشگری جال توجه باشد.

4 Guidelines on Health Tourism Management for Middle Eastern Tourists in Phuket Province

There are three objectives in this study, 1) to study the behaviour and needs of Middle Eastern tourists for health tourism, 2) to study elements of health tourism for Middle Eastern tourists, and 3) to study guidelines on health tourism management for Middle Eastern tourists. The sample in this study is 400 Middle Eastern tourists, and 10 government staff. The research tools used were questionnaires and interviews. The study found that the Middle Eastern tourists have high needs in health tourism which are as follows: 1) fair prices 2) embedding intensity 3) aromatherapy IP terminals 4) souvenirs for home, and 5) public transportation. Following the average analysis (t test), it revealed that these aspects have a statistical difference of 0.05 between the sexes with regard to health tourism. Moreover, seven aspects that have a significant statistical difference at 0.05 were age, education, income, occupation, status, experience and nationality with regards to health tourism. According to the study, indicators which were claimed to assist in managing health tourism include; 1) variety of activities 2) Islam friendly accommodation 3) public transport 4) promotion of health tourism 5) access to prayer rooms 6) access to health tourism information, and 7) fair price of souvenirs. Furthermore, guidelines on health tourism management for Middle Eastern tourists in Phuket Province include; 1) Tourism Authority of Thailand and travel agency should be given more variety, especially the health based activities. 2) Sub-district administrative organization should have measures in place that harmonize with the Middle Eastern tourists’ needs. 3) Tourism Authority of Thailand should be studied in order to persuade Middle Eastern tourists to buy more souvenirs from the tourist attractions. 4) Thailand Government should be supported in arranging accommodation to be in line with Islamic principles. 5) Sub district administrative organization have to arranged places for Middle Eastern tourists to praying particularly for ladies. 6) Thailand Government should inform the tourists from the Middle Eastern countries about activities involved in health tourism in Phuket. 7) Sub-district administrative organization should be executed in order to
