1 Wood supply chain risks and risk mitigation strategies: A systematic review focusing on the Northern hemisphere
خطرات زنجیره تامین چوب و استراتژی های کاهش خطر: یک مرور سیستماتیک با تمرکز بر نیمکره شمالی-2021
This paper presents a systematic literature review on both the risks affecting wood supply security and risk mitigation strategies by quantitative and qualitative data analysis. It describes wood-specific supply chain risks, thereupon resulting impacts and counteracting strategies to ensure supply. Risks, impacts, and strategies are documented as basis for a comparative analysis, discussion of results, challenges and research gaps. Finally, the suitability and the limitations of the chosen methodology and the achieved results are discussed. Scanning wood supply chain risks and supply strategies, most of the reviewed papers focus on wood supply for bioenergy generation and only a few studies investigate wood supply chain risk issues for the sawing, wood panel, pulp and paper industries, or biorefineries. This review differs significantly from other reviews in this field as it considers the entire wood value chain including recent studies on new chemical wood-based products and thus provides a more complete picture of the wood-based bioeconomy. Consequently, it contributes to the literature by providing an overarching investigation of the risks affecting wood supply security and possible side effects of a growing wood-based bioeconomy. It was found that comprehensive value chain analyses considering established wood products, large-volume bioenergy products, as well as established and new chemical wood-based products in the context of wood supply security are missing. Studies that map the entire wood value chain with its multilevel interdependences and integrating cascading use of wood are lacking.

2 Mapping global fuel cell vehicle industry chain and assessing potential supply risks
نقشه برداری از زنجیره صنعت خودروی سوختی سوخت جهانی و ارزیابی خطرات احتمالی تأمین-2021
Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) have the potential to contribute significantly to improving air quality and addressing climate concerns in the future. However, due to the highly dynamic technology and manufacturing developments, there is a lack of understanding of the state- of-the-art global FCV industry chain and associated supply risks. This study fills such a research gap by mapping global FCV industry chain during the period 2017e2019, and assessing the supply risks of relevant key commodities. The results show that significant supply risks existed in global FCV industry chain, especially in upstream commodities like platinum and gas diffusion layer (GDL). The combined indicator of Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and Worldwide Governance-Indicator (HHI-WGI) is used to quantify the supply risks, showing that HHI-WGI of platinum is on the highest level. On the national level, supply risks are identified primarily in platinum for Japan, in vehicles for the United States, and along the entire industry chain for China. Network analysis is conducted to visualize and analyze how countries, companies and commodities are connected, showing that the highest supply risks were identified in GDLs. It is recommended that country-specific measures should be taken to mitigate supply risks, including building up national stocks of critical materials, investing overseas, enhancing the guidance over industry policies, and stepping up infrastructure construction.© 2021 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC. 3 Supply risk sharing in a closed-loop supply chain
اشتراک گذاری ریسک در زنجیره تامین حلقه بسته-2017
In closed-loop supply chains, the acquisition process of used products or materials often faces high volatility and results in both the uncertain quantity and quality of the recycled products. Such supply uncertainties happen in the reverse supply chain flows while the forward supply chain still faces market demand uncertainty. Managing these uncertainties while coordinating the reverse and forward supply chain flows is one of the many challenges faced by CLSC managers. Among different supply chain management approaches, supply chain contract design has been proven as an effective method for improving supply chain performance. Based on the supply chain contract design theories and focusing on the acquisition process in closed-loop supply chains, this paper analyzes different supply risk sharing contracts including under-supply risk sharing contract, over-supply risk sharing contract, complete supply risk sharing contract, and no risk sharing contract. With game-theoretical models, equilibrium between the recycling price decision (controlling the reverse flow) and the remanufacturing quantity decision (controlling the forward flow) are derived and analyzed. Further, numerical examples are used to demonstrate the managerial results. Based on both the theoretic results and the numerical example illustration, it is shown that different supply risk sharing contracts may result in both the recycling price decision and the remanufacturing production quantity decision to deviate from those decisions under centralized collection structure. Further, this paper investigates the impact of supply or demand risk reduction on the CLSCs financial and environmental performances. It is observed that supply risk reduction approaches may result in the alignment between the CLSCs financial and environmental goals while the demand risk reduction approaches cannot achieve such alignment.

4 An assessment of supply chain disruption mitigation strategies
ارزیابی استراتژی های کاهش تلفات زنجیره تامین-2017
We assess the effectiveness of incorporating three types of redundancy practices (pre-positioning inventory, backup suppliers, and protected suppliers) into a firm’s supply chain that is exposed to ttwo types of risk: supply risk and environmental risk. Supply risk disrupts an individual supplier, while environmental risk makes a number of suppliers in a given region unavailable. An additional factor is supplier interdependence, where a disruption in one supplier may also disrupt other active suppliers. Utilizing the concept of a decision tree to capture different disruption scenarios, we develop a two-stage mixed-integer programming (two-stage MIP) model as a General Model to address the problem of supplier selection and order allocation under supplier dependencies and risk of disruptions. In the General Model, multi-sourcing is the only supplier strategy that the firm implements. Then we develop three separate extensions of the General Model, one for each of the three redundancy practices, and evaluate the expected supply chain cost of each extended model. We quantitatively show how adding redundancy to the supply chain in different forms, along with contingency plans, can help firms mitigate the impact of supply chain disruptions. The findings suggest that all three strategies reduce costs and risks compared to the General Model. An analysis of reliability, risks, dependence, and costs is conducted on each strategy to provide insights into supplier selection, demand allocation, and capability development in a supply chain under supply chain risks. Finally, we show that regionalizing a supply chain is an effective way to mitigate the negative impacts of environmental disruptions on the supply chain.

5 Implications from substance flow analysis, supply chain and supplier risk evaluation in iron and steel industry in Mainland China
نتایج حاصل از تجزیه و تحلیل جریان مواد، زنجیره تامین و ارزیابی ریسک تامین کنندگان در صنعت آهن و فولاد در سرزمین اصلی چین-2017
Supply risk evaluation is intended for adjusting industrial structure, and provides limited options to reduce supply risk. The links between supply chain and industrial structure deserve better understanding. In this way, the industrial activities can be managed to change industrial structure from supply risk. We took the anthropogenic iron in Mainland China into our case study. The comprehensive evaluation was modeled to tackle the problems of Chinas iron and steel industry. From the life cycle perspective, we found that extending iron and steel supply chain would digest the oversupply and reduce the excessive emission, the main problems affecting on the steel ratio for electric arc furnaces were steel scrap shortage and relatively high electrovalence, and Fe content of the social stock basically resided in construction industry which significantly influenced on the flow of steel products and steel and iron products. More attention should be paid to the factors of export price, resource allocation efficiency, financing capability and outdated capacity, strict inspection and prevention should be taken to these risks. A comprehensive picture of several customized risk reduction strategies was constructed for those problems. Of the strategies, China’ risks of iron and steel industry could be reduced if the existing industrial structure were adjusted on the basis of the substance flow networks and global iron and steel industrial chains. Based on the result, recommendations were made in this paper, aiming to contribute important reference information for the industrial metabolism, resource management, and recycling of iron and steel industry in Mainland China. The proposed methodology, integrating suppliers’ risk evaluation based on supply chain and substance flow analysis offers a quick and convenient examination on more comprehensive risk reduction alternatives. Further dedicated risk evaluation might be required to estimate the more precise risks for the iron and steel industries or other industries that were pre-identified as the outdated.

6 A system dynamic analysis of Chinas oil supply chain: Over-capacity and energy security issues
تحلیل پویاِ سیستمی زنجیره تامین نفت چین: مسائل امنیتی بیش از حد ظرفیت و امنیت انرژی-2017
Over-capacity problem in refining sector and energy security for oil supply are critical issues for China’s oil industry. As governmental intervention plays a significant part in current and future development of oil industry, over-capacity problem would not be solved without macro-regulatory. Though China is pro moting large-scale strategic reserve of crude oil, there is rare quantitative evaluation on the capability of the oil industry in dealing with import disruption. In this paper, a system dynamic model is established for oil supply chain analysis. Based on the model, a quantitative measurement is proposed to evaluate the over-capacity extent of refining industry. The over-capacity extent is classified into three levels, accord ing to varied demand fluctuation the supply chain is expected to deal with. By comparing the modeling results and historical data of 2012 and 2013, we conclude that over-capacity in China’s refining industry is in the severest level. The measurement reveals the driven-force of over-capacity from supply chain per spective, and demonstrates a quantitative method to figure out the proper capacity of energy supply industry. Second, the model simulates how oil supply chain responds to crude oil import disruption and the subsequent impacts. The modeling results indicate that the current configuration of China’s oil supply system is able to maintain sustainable supply under a less-than-180-day crude oil import disrup tion. The model provides a supply chain perspective in looking into energy security issues, and reveals the relationship between strategic petroleum reserve and the capability to cope with supply risks. In sum mary, the system dynamic model proposed in this paper is applicable for analysis on capacity planning and reserve strategy design of oil supply chain, providing valuable suggestion for the future development of China’s oil industry. The design concept and method of the model can be used for analysis of other energy industry.

7 Purchasing and supply_ An investigation of risk management performance
خرید و تامین: بررسی عملکرد مدیریت ریسک-2016
In a networked environment, the ability to develop and sustain relationships with suppliers is a critical success factor as well as a challenging task for the management of a company. It is recognized that companies become vulnerable to various supply chain disruptions and risks. The identification and management of these risks is therefore crucial for the effective management of the supply chains. In order to select the appropriate risk management actions, the relationship between these actions must be investigated. Even though much research has been conducted in the field of purchasing and supply management, only a small part of it has dealt with the risk management performance of supply chains. This study empirically investigates the supplier orientation, supplier dependency, customer orientation, and integrated systemic buying that influence a company’s supply risk management performance. A survey research design is adapted for the study. Our study shows the statistical (regression) linkages of the variables (supplier orientation, supplier dependency, customer orientation, and systemic purchasing) with supply risk management performance. The results of this study are based on the data collected from 165 large and medium-sized Finnish companies.& 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
