Transition from building information modeling (BIM) to integrated digital delivery (IDD) in sustainable building management: A knowledge discovery approach based review
انتقال از مدل سازی اطلاعات ساختمان (BIM) به تحویل دیجیتال یکپارچه (IDD) در مدیریت پایدار ساختمان: بررسی روش کشف دانش مبتنی بر بررسی-2021 Over the past decade, building information modeling (BIM) and sustainability have attracted increased
interest, with a concomitant rise in the number of related publications. However, research efforts made
in BIM for sustainable building management, especially using in all four Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD)
phases are minimal. Therefore, this study features a combined scientometric analysis and IDD thematic
discussion examining 471 scholarly bibliographies accessed from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The
purpose of this study is to statistically classify BIM-sustainability publications from 2007 to 2019 in order
to understand the research status, key themes, trends, and future challenges to be addressed in the field
of sustainable BIM. The most influential scholars, institutes, regions/countries, articles, and journals have
been identified. Moreover, clustering analyses identified topics that sustainable BIM research tended to
gravitate toward, such as cloud approaches, data sharing, life cycle energy efficiency, and informetric
analysis. The top 100 most cited documents from WoS were also manually classified into four quadrants
of IDD, namely design, fabrication, construction, and asset delivery and management. Ten BIMsustainability phenomena were observed throughout the life cycle of IDD. Finally, key research gaps
and important areas for future research in this field were identified. The clearly delineated clusters and
themes provide a practical overview and a deeper understanding of the current research progress of IDD
for building sustainability, highlighting the challenges and research gaps for future research.

Development of a knowledge-based tool for waste management of prefabricated steel structure projects
توسعه یک ابزار مبتنی بر دانش برای مدیریت زباله پروژه های ساختمانی فولاد پیش ساخته-2021 Although the construction industry is critical for sustainability goals due to the high amount of waste it gen-
erates, its waste management performance is still not at the desired level. One of the main reasons for this can be
attributed to the lack of enough knowledge of construction companies on the sources/reasons of waste and
amount of waste. The major aim of this study was to develop a knowledge-based tool for capturing, storing, and
disseminating waste-related knowledge for prefabricated steel construction projects. The developed tool can be
used for waste estimation, monitoring, and minimization of all materials used during different phases of pre-
fabricated steel structure projects based on the data captured from current and previous projects. One advantage
of the tool is the integration of all processes of waste management, which have been usually considered inde-
pendently in previous studies. Moreover, being a knowledge-based tool, it can increase awareness and learning
ability of companies about waste and its management. Finally, although the process model of the tool is generic
and can operate in alternative domains, the tool is applicable for only prefabricated steel projects. It is believed
that the process model and the tool presented in this paper can be further customized for different project types
and considering different company needs. keywords: ابزار مدیریت زباله مبتنی بر دانش | پروژه های ساختمانی فولاد پیش ساخته | صنعت ساخت و ساز | زباله های مواد | ابزار مبتنی بر وب | Knowledge-based waste management tool | Prefabricated steel structure projects | Construction industry | Material waste | Web-based tool |

Past, present, and future of knowledge management for business sustainability
گذشته، حال، و آینده مدیریت دانش برای پایداری کسب و کار-2021 Knowledge management has gained increasing importance and immense research interest for its promise in
advancing sustainability. Despite its proliferation in the literature, little is known about the research profile of
knowledge management research intertwined with sustainability. Given this gap, this article aims to conduct an
extensive review of knowledge management for sustainability research. Using bibliometrics, which is suitable for
large-scale reviews, this article reviews 1136 documents published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web
of Science between 2001 and 2021. Noteworthily, the review sheds light on the performance of research con-
stituents (e.g., most prolific authors, countries, institutions, and journals), as well as the themes and topics
underpinning the intellectual structure (i.e., knowledge foundation, knowledge creation) in the field. Specif-
ically, the review reveals that knowledge management for sustainability research has relied on nine foundational
clusters (i.e., informed sustainability practice, social network, firm performance, knowledge sharing culture,
green innovation, sustainability assessment framework, global warming, knowledge management, and innova-
tive performance) to generate new knowledge across 10 thematic clusters, (i.e., ecological knowledge, green
innovation, the Shanghai Hongqiao district effect, the Agroscope Research Master Plan, food security, sustainable
supply chain management, business sustainability, knowledge creation, knowledge management, and technology
management). The article concludes with a new theory that encapsulates extant understanding of knowledge
management for sustainability along with promising avenues for future research. keywords: مدیریت دانش | پایداری | بررسی ادبیات | تجزیه و تحلیل کتابشناسی | Knowledge management | Sustainability | Literature review | Bibliometric analysis |

Reduction of waste and carbon emission through the selection of items with cross-price elasticity of demand to form a sustainable supply chain with preservation technology
In addition to this, wastages due to the deterioration have a hazardous impact on the ecosystem. The responsible managers’ primary concern is to form a sustainable supply chain. Further, supply chain managers select some appropriate combinations when dealing with items that possess cross-price elasticity of demand to make a profitable system. The present model aims to make a sustainable supply chain to reduce waste by obtaining the optimal values of production rate, batch size, several shipments, and preservation investment such that the total profit of the system is maximum. In the present study, a supply chain model with two manufacturers and one common retailer is developed. The proposed supply chain deals with products having negative or positive cross-price elasticity of demand. The carbon emission is also considered, which is associated with different operational activities of inventory such as preparation of setup of manufacturers, transportation of products, waste management, and holding stock at manufacturers and the retailer’s end. The objective function in the present study is a mixed-integer nonlinear optimization problem. A solution method- ology based on differential calculus is adopted. The result shows that products of low negative or high positive cross-price elasticity are a profitable combination. Additionally, a 20% reduction in wastage quantity is observed due to the investment in preservation technology. This result indicates that preservation technology positively impacts the environment and the finance associated with the inventory system. The proposed integrated system’s sustainability is illustrated with numerical examples, sensitivity analysis, and pictorial representation. In addition to this, several valuable managerial insights based on the study are provided.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. Integrating indigenous and local knowledge in management and research on coastal ecosystems in the Global South: A literature review
ادغام دانش بومی و محلی در مدیریت و تحقیقات در مورد اکوسیستم های ساحلی در جنوب جهان: بررسی ادبیات-2021 Indigenous and local knowledge (ILK) is increasingly recognized as a valuable asset in sustainability science.
Knowledges of Indigenous peoples and local communities is becoming a critical tool for understanding coastal
social-ecological systems and coping with global changes. The inclusion of ILK in research and management is
key to local desirable social-ecological resilience and community-based conservation approaches, especially in
areas with accelerated landscape changes. The Global South in particular is experiencing rapid changes through
development and climate change, while harbouring many biodiversity hotspots. To synthesize the existing in-
formation and highlight still existing research gaps we conducted a systematic literature review on ILK from
coastal ecosystems in the Global South (n = 254). Our results show to which biophysical aspects and ecosystems
the knowledge is related, as well as the challenges and benefits that accompany the inclusion of ILK for man-
agement and research. Main challenges named were based on external forces, such as globalisation and market
pressure but also a lack of integration and respect in governance and management for ILK and the difficulty of
integrating ILK in today’s academic work. Many researchers showed ways to overcome such multi-scale chal-
lenges and highlighted the importance of this process due to the various benefits of ILK for management and
research. All articles reviewed named benefits in ecological (e.g. complementary knowledge production), po-
litical (e.g. support of community-based governance) or socio-cultural (e.g. maintenance of culture and liveli-
hoods) aspects for management and research. Maintaining ILK is crucial for Indigenous people and local
communities and carries insights to govern coastal ecosystems during the challenging times ahead. We conclude
that future research is needed to further develop the current position of ILK in research and management of
ecosystems, especially as global environmental changes may contribute to the acceleration of losing ILK from
coastal ecosystems in the Global South. keywords: تغییرات اقلیمی | مردم بومی و جوامع محلی | اکوسیستم های دریایی | سیستم های اجتماعی محیطی | علم پایداری | Climate change | Indigenous peoples and local communities | Marine ecosystems | Social-ecological systems | Sustainability science |

Mapping the terrain of international human resource management research over the past fifty years: A bibliographic analysis
نقشه برداری از زمین تحقیقات مدیریت منابع انسانی بین المللی در طول پنجاه سال گذشته: تجزیه و تحلیل کتابشناختی-2021 This review aims to take stock of the extant international human resource management (IHRM) research by
identifying gaps and mapping out a future research agenda for IHRM scholars. Based on an extensive biblio-
graphic analysis of 1924 articles published in the field of IHRM, we confirm three key clusters of existing
knowledge: (a) expatriation management; (b) global human capital; and (c) international human resource pol-
icies and practices. Moreover, using scientific mapping tools, sub-themes in each cluster are classified, issues and
deficiencies are examined and discussed. Furthermore, a future IHRM research agenda is proposed, including
managing global work to cope with the adverse social and economic conditions, and to localize emerging market
multinationals; building global human capital towards developing sustainability and nurturing digital multina-
tionals; developing new perspectives and theories on transferring IHRM policies and practices; and embracing
rigorous or innovative empirical methods in the field. keywords: مدیریت منابع انسانی بین المللی | کسب و کار بین المللی | مدیریت خارج از کشور | سرمایه انسانی | تجسم شباهت ها | International human resource management | International business | Expatriation management | Human capital | Visualization of similarities |

Enablers, levers and benefits of Circular Economy in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment supply chain: a literature review
Enablers, levers and benefits of Circular Economy in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment supply chain: a literature review-2021 Circular Economy in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) supply chain has a significant (and still unexploited) potential. This paper aims to systematically review the knowledge emerging from the literature at the intersection between Circular Economy and the EEE supply chain, with a special focus on enablers, levers, and their potential environmental, economic and social benefits. An original framework is developed to categorise Circular Economy enablers, levers and potential benefits. Companies in the EEE industry aiming to implement Circular Economy can exploit several enablers (grouped into digitalization, government intervention, and users’ active role) and levers (grouped into circular product design, ser- vitised business models, and supply chain management) to generate economic, environmental and social benefits. Based on the framework, 115 articles were scrutinised. The analysis led to the definition of a research agenda, with policy and industry implications. To advance Circular Economy research in the EEE supply chain, future studies should address: (i) the enabling role of digitalization, particularly within blockchain, 3D Printing, augmented and virtual reality; (ii) design strategies focused on ‘reduce’; (iii) servitised business models based on result-oriented offerings; (iv) collaboration in the EEE supply chain;(v) the assessment of social and economic benefits to users. Future research should also investigate the systemic interrelations between enablers, levers and benefits.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. Applying emergy and decoupling analysis to assess the sustainability of China’s coal mining area
استفاده از تحلیل اضطراری و جداسازی برای ارزیابی پایداری منطقه استخراج زغال سنگ چین-2020 The sustainable development of coal mining area continues to be one of the most topical issues in the
world. Taking Shainxi Province as a case, this study applies emergy and decoupling analysis to build a
multi-index sustainability evaluation system and constructs an emergy decoupling index to investigate
the sustainability of a coal mining area in China during 2006e2015. It overcomes the problem of the
unification of the traditional evaluation index system and integrates the influence of economic development,
resources, the environment, and energy. The study finds that the coal mining area still depends
on its coal resources. The sustainability of the coal mining area is still at a low level, and it is not sustainable
in the long term. The economic growth still has a strong negative decoupling from the environmental
loss. Energy management system and circular economic system should be built to improve
the coal mining area’s sustainability. In the long run, the coal mining industry should gradually be
abandoned. Based on China’s growing energy consumption, the findings of this study may not only serve
as a reference for management to improve the sustainability of the coal mining areas but also to address
China’s energy shortage problem. Keywords: Sustainability | Emergy analysis | Decoupling | Coal mining area |

Should responsible management education become a priority? A qualitative study of academics in Egyptian public business schools
آیا آموزش مدیریت مسئولیت پذیر باید به یک اولویت تبدیل شود؟ یک مطالعه کیفی از دانشگاهیان در مدارس تجارت عمومی مصر-2020 In this paper we investigate why responsible management education (RME) should become a necessity in Egyptian public business schools. A total of 80 academics from three universities were contacted and interviewed in six different focus groups. Three types of motives were identified from the interviews: extrinsic local, intrinsic school and extrinsic global, which in- spired academics to believe in the importance of implementing RME in their business schools. Most respondents consider implementing RME is crucial to rebuilding their schools legitimate and ethical role. Focusing only on academics rather than the executives of the selected business schools, is perceived to be a limitation. Moreover, addressing only public business schools and excluding private ones may limit the authors’ ability to generalize results. Thus, the authors of this paper invite researchers from the fields of cultural diversity, CSR, sustainability and higher education (HE) to collaborate in producing more interdisciplinary and/or trans-disciplinary papers on the same topic. Future researchers may seek to investigate the perceptions of management in the addressed business schools. Replicating this study with private business schools in Egypt may be considered another research opportunity. The educational authorities need to develop a framework for implementing and assessing RME in public business schools. This paper contributes by filling a gap in HE management, responsible leadership, and sustainability literature in which empirical studies on RME and the responsible practices of academics have been limited so far. A multi-stakeholder participatory study identifies the priorities for the sustainability of the small ruminants farming sector in Europe
یک مطالعه مشارکتی چند ذینفع اولویت های پایداری بخش کشاورزی کوچک نشخوارکنندگان در اروپا را مشخص می کند-2020 The European small ruminants (i.e. sheep and goats) farming sector (ESRS) provides economic, social and environmental benefits to society, but is also one of the most vulnerable livestock sectors in Europe. This sector has
diverse livestock species, breeds, production systems and products, which makes difficult to have a clear vision
of its challenges through using conventional analyses. A multi-stakeholder and multi-step approach, including
90 surveys, was used to identify and assess the main challenges for the sustainability of the ESRS to prioritize actions. These challenges and actions were identified by ESRS experts including farmers, cooperatives, breeding associations, advisers and researchers of six EU countries and Turkey. From the 30 identified challenges, the most
relevant were economy-related challenges such as ‘uncertainty of meat and milk prices’, ‘volatility of commodity
prices’, ‘low farm income’, ‘high subsidy dependency’ and ‘uncertainty in future changes in subsidies’ resulting in
‘a sector not attractive to young farmers’. Most of these challenges were beyond the farmer’s control and perceived as difficult to address. Challenges were prioritized using an index, calculated by multiplying the relevance
and the feasibility to address measures. The identified challenges had a similar priority index across the whole
sector with small differences across livestock species (sheep vs goats), type of products (meat vs dairy) and intensification levels (intensive vs semi-intensive vs extensive). The priorities were different, however, between
socio-geographical regions (Southern vs Central Europe). Some of the top prioritized challenges were linked to
aspects related to the production systems (‘low promotion of local breeds’ and ‘slow adaptability of high producing breeds’) and market practices (‘unfair trade/lack of traceability’). The majority of the priority challenges, however, were associated with a deficient knowledge or training at farm level (‘poor business management training’,
‘lack of professionalization’, ‘slow adoption of innovations’), academia (‘researchers do not address real problems’) and society as a whole (‘low consumer education in local products’, ‘low social knowledge about farming’,
‘poor recognition of farming public services’). Thus, improved collaboration among the different stakeholders
across the food chain with special implication of farmers, associations of producers, academia and governments
is needed to facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building. These actions can contribute to make ESRS economically more sustainable and to adapt the production systems and policy to the current and future societal
needs in a more region-contextualized framework.
