Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: Revised 2021 Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (Competent, Proficient, and Expert) in Management of Food and Nutrition Systems
آکادمی تغذیه و رژیمشناسی: استانداردهای 2021 اصلاحشده عملکرد حرفهای برای متخصصان تغذیه ثبتشده (لایق، ماهر و متخصص) در مدیریت سیستمهای غذایی و تغذیه-2021 Management of food and nutrition systems (MFNS) encompasses the varied roles of registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) with
administrative responsibilities for food and nutrition services within an organization. RDNs in MFNS are frequently employed in acute
care, but also expand into a multitude of other settings in which management of nutrition and foodservice is required, for example,
foodservice departments in assisted living and post-acute and long-term care; colleges and universities, kindergarten through grade 12
and pre-kindergarten schools and childcare; retail foodservice operations; correctional facilities; and companies that produce,
distribute, and sell food products. RDNs in MFNS aim to create work environments that support high-quality customer-centered care
and services, attract and retain talented staff, and foster an atmosphere of collaboration and innovation. The Management in Food and
Nutrition Systems Dietetic Practice Group, with guidance from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Quality Management Committee,
has revised the Standards of Professional Performance (SOPP) for RDNs in MFNS for 3 levels of practice: competent, proficient, and
expert. The SOPP describes 6 domains that focus on professional performance: Quality in Practice, Competence and Accountability,
Provision of Services, Application of Research, Communication and Application of Knowledge, and Utilization and Management of
Resources. Indicators outlined in the SOPP depict how these standards apply to practice. The standards and indicators for RDNs in MFNS
are written with the leader in mind—to support an individual in a leadership role or who has leadership aspirations. The SOPP is
intended to be used by RDNs for self-evaluation to assure competent professional practice.

Central coordination and profitability in large Latin American business groups
هماهنگی مرکزی و سودآوری در گروههای بزرگ تجاری آمریکای لاتین-2020 This study analyzes the profitability effects of central coordination in large business groups in Latin America. By adopting a configurational approach, we analyze the profitability implications from a core entity involvement in the areas of strategy definition, talent management, values and culture management, stakeholder management, corporate branding and corporate innovation. Using Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analyses on a sample of 17 of the largest business groups in Latin America, we contribute by identifying core entity’s configurations that are causally linked with business group high financial performance, measured as the highest average ROE be- tween 2014 and 2017. Specifically, we find that business groups with the highest performance include strategy definition, talent management, values and culture management activities as part of their core entity coordination as necessary conditions. We also find that the relevance of the fourth role, stakeholder management, is linked to the macroeconomic conditions of the countries where affiliates operate. Selecting talent using social networks: A mixed-methods study
انتخاب استعداد با استفاده از شبکه های اجتماعی: یک مطالعه با روش های ترکیبی-2020 Previous studies on the use of Social Networking Sites (SNS) in personnel selection generally focus on examining this phenomenon in the selection process as a whole. However, personnel selection is a macro-process composed of several activities. This paper aims to investigate how human resource professionals use SNS in hiring decisions during the different stages of the selection process. The research uses an explanatory sequential mixed-methods approach. The first study consisted of a questionnaire-based survey of hiring professionals with the intent to describe various aspects of current practice (n ¼ 429). Survey data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The second study comprised semi-structured interviews with hiring professionals to provide a more in- depth, richer analysis (n ¼ 24). Interview data was analyzed via qualitative thematic analysis. Results uncovered two types of users. Single-stage users emphasized efficiency concerns, whereas multiple-stage users mentioned to access profiles on an as needed-basis. Participants reported that the patterns of use could be quite complex and dynamic, with selectors revisiting the profile of the same applicant several times for different purposes, or examining profiles of the same applicant in different SNS. The assessment of SNS information is typically non- systematic, but some employers reported using scales, mainly in pre-selection. Evidence emerged of potential adverse effects during the selection process. Overall, this paper contributes to theory and practice by providing a better understanding of the use of SNS across the different stages of personnel selection. To our best knowledge, this is the first mixed-methods study of its kind. Big data analytics as an operational excellence approach to enhance sustainable supply chain performance
تجزیه و تحلیل داده های بزرگ به عنوان یک رویکرد برتری عملیاتی برای افزایش عملکرد پایدار زنجیره تأمین-2020 Operations management is a core organizational function involved in the management of activities to produce
and deliver products and services. Appropriate operations decisions rely on assessing and using information; a
task made more challenging in the Big Data era. Effective management of data (big data analytics; BDA), along
with staff capabilities (the talent capability in the use of big data) support firms to leverage big data analytics
and organizational learning in support of sustainable supply chain management outcomes. The current study
uses dynamic capability theory as a foundation for evaluating the role of BDA capability as an operational
excellence approach in improving sustainable supply chain performance. We surveyed mining executives in the
emerging economy of South Africa and received 520 valid responses (47% response rate). We used Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. The findings show that big data analytics
management capabilities have a strong and significant effect on innovative green product development and
sustainable supply chain outcomes. Big data analytics talent capabilities have a weaker but still significant effect
on employee development and sustainable supply chain outcomes. Innovation and learning performance affect
sustainable supply chain performance, and supply chain innovativeness has an important moderating role. A
contribution of the study is identifying two pathways that managers can use to improve sustainable supply chain
outcomes in the mining industry, based on big data analytics capabilities. Keywords: Big data analytics | Operational excellence | Dynamic capability view | Supply chain sustainability | Learning performance |

The application of multi-criteria decision analysis methods into talent identification process: A social psychological perspective
استفاده از روشهای تصمیم گیری چند معیار در فرآیند شناسایی استعداد: چشم انداز روانشناختی اجتماعی-2020 This case study offers a new insight into application of multiple-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM) to
social identity issues in the context of talent management. This study used MCDM to help a high-tech company to
identify potential talents in its sale and marketing team (n=54). MCDM adjusted subjective information consisted
of intangible organisational political issues into a transparent, objective benchmark. The transparency and
consistency of this evaluation process reduced potential social identity disruption between individuals or groups.
Furthermore, the involvement of multiple decision-makers (both managers and employees) in the talent identification
procedure enhanced employees motivation for further development. Keywords: Talent management | Multi-criteria decision making | AHP | Flowsort | GAIA | Visual management |

The lighthouse effect: How successful entrepreneurs influence the sustainability-orientation of entrepreneurial ecosystems
اثر فانوس دریایی: چگونه کارآفرینان موفق بر پایداری جهت گیری اکوسیستم های کارآفرینی تأثیر می گذارند-2020 The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed by the United Nations are a call to action for policy- makers around the globe to tackle grand societal challenges. Sustainability start-ups can help meet some of the most pressing challenges. Regions of start-up activity are commonly referred to as entrepreneurial ecosystems (EEs), although the share of sustainability start-ups varies markedly from one EE to another. While literature on EEs is abundant, scholarly work on sustainability-oriented EEs, i.e. those with a high share of sustainability start-ups, is still relatively scarce. In particular, there is limited understanding of the reasons why some EEs have a higher share of sustainability start-ups than others. The present paper considers this gap in the literature by contrasting the EEs of Berlin and Lagos, which have very different shares of sustainability start-ups. Forty interviews conducted with founders, investors, hubs and government representatives in both EEs showed that particularly successful start-ups in an EE, so-called lighthouses, play an important role in shaping the cultural, social and material attributes of an EE. This means that the sustainability orientation of these lighthouses is instrumental in creating environments in which sustainability start-ups can flourish. Moreover, lighthouses can attract new talent and resources to a region, which further underlines their role as accelerators of an EE towards sustainability. Overall, the lighthouses are a critical factor in explaining the share of sustainability start-ups. Policy- makers can strengthen this effect by giving access to extra resources and opportunities to promising start-ups and by showcasing their success.© 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd. Knowledge transfer between self-initiated expatriates and their organizations: Research propositions for managing SIEs
انتقال دانش بین مهاجران خود آغاز شده و سازمان های آنها: پیشنهادهای تحقیقاتی برای مدیریت SIEs-2020 Knowledge management is increasingly recognized as a key aspect of international business and management. This paper offers research avenues for investigating knowledge transfer between self-initiated expatriates (SIEs) and their employer organizations. Building on the existing literature on expatriation and knowledge transfer, it offers a series of research propositions. It illustrates the knowledge transfer process in three phases: opportunity seeking, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application. We suggest that different characteristics of SIEs and their organizations can influence the knowledge transfer process. Furthermore, we advance that SIEs may be a source of sustained competitive advantage to their companies. Several implications for future empirical research are also discussed and the paper concludes with practical implications for SIE talent management. CD14: Biology and role in the pathogenesis of disease
CD14: بیولوژی و نقش در پاتوژنز بیماری-2019 Human monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 is a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) that enhances innate
immune responses. CD14 was first identified as a marker of monocytes to signal intracellular responses upon
bacterial encounters. Given the absence of an intracellular tail, CD14 was doubted to have the signaling capacities.
Later CD14 was confirmed as the TLR co-receptor for the detection of pathogen-associated molecular
patterns. However, CD14 has been revealed as a multi-talented receptor. In last decade, CD14 was identified to
activate NFAT to regulate the life cycle of myeloid cells in a TLR4-independent manner and to transport inflammatory
lipids to induce phagocyte hyperactivation. And its influences on multiple related diseases have been
further considered. In this review, we summarize advancements in the basic biology of the CD14 including its
structure, binding ligands, signaling pathways, and its roles in the pathogenesis of inflammation, atherosclerosis,
tumor and metabolic diseases. We also discuss the therapeutic potential of targeting the CD14 in related diseases. Keywords: CD14 | Innate immunity | Toll like receptor | Pattern recognition receptor |
