1 Time-sensitive supply chain disruption recovery and resource sharing incentive strategy
Market demand is becoming increasingly time-sensitive in competitive environments. Hence, supply disruptions will have a more serious impact on the profits of supply chains. This study applies a Stackelberg competition between a single supplier and a single manufacturer in a time-sensitive supply chain in a cloud manufacturing environment. We aim to address the supplier’s production capacity recovery issues and the manufacturer’s incentive decision issues after supply disruption. We find that the supplier is in a weak position when the information is symmetrical. The manufacturer can encourage the supplier to shorten the recovery time by raising the unit wholesale price. When the supplier’s unit production cost remains unchanged but the unit wholesale price increases, the profit of the supplier first increases and then decreases. In addition, under the centralized decision-making setting, the optimal recovery time of the supplier is shorter and the optimal unit market price of the product is lower than that under decentralized decision-making. We further find that resource sharing can shorten the optimal recovery time, but it does not necessarily play an incentivizing role.© 2021 China Science Publishing & Media Ltd. 2 Shared warehouse as an inter-supply chain cooperation strategy to reduce the time-dependent deterioration costs
Deterioration is one of the main concerns of many food and drug products. To reduce the effects of this phenomenon, various strategies have been proposed so far. In this paper, the collaboration of distributors in two different supply chains using a shared warehouse and its impacts on the deterioration of products which is time- dependent are investigated. Moreover, innovative algorithms are proposed to extract the solution of the models in the non-integrated and integrated supply chains. Next, the cooperative game theory is used to share the benefits of the cooperation between distributors. The numerical results of the paper indicate the efficiency of the proposed strategy in reducing the cost and deterioration of the supply chains. Furthermore, to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed model in different real-world problems, four possible categories of the deterioration rate are scrutinized. The results of this investigation denote that the strategy has high effectiveness in all categories while in the category that the deterioration rate is a linear function of the time, the saving in the deterioration cost using the strategy is greatest. Also, conducting a sensitivity analysis, it is revealed that the greater the difference in the ordering cost of distributors, the greater the effectiveness of the strategy in reducing supply chain costs.

3 ‘‘DRL + FL’’: An intelligent resource allocation model based on deep reinforcement learning for Mobile Edge Computing
"DRL + FL": یک مدل تخصیص منابع هوشمند مبتنی بر یادگیری تقویت عمیق برای محاسبات لبه تلفن همراه-2020
With the emergence of a large number of computation-intensive and time-sensitive applications, smart terminal devices with limited resources can only run the model training part of most intelligent applications in the cloud, so a large amount of training data needs to be uploaded to the cloud. This is an important cause of core network communication congestion and poor Quality-of-Experience (QoE) of user. As an important extension and supplement of cloud computing, Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) sinks computing and storage resources from the cloud to the vicinity of User Mobile Devices (UMDs), greatly reducing service latency and alleviating the burden on core networks. However, due to the high cost of edge servers deployment and maintenance, MEC also has the problems of limited network resources and computing resources, and the edge network environment is complex and mutative. Therefore, how to reasonably allocate network resources and computing resources in a changeable MEC environment has become a great aporia. To combat this issue, this paper proposes an intelligent resource allocation model ‘‘DRL + FL’’. Based on this model, an intelligent resource allocation algorithm DDQN-RA based on the emerging DRL algorithm framework DDQN is designed to adaptively allocate network and computing resources. At the same time, the model integrates the FL framework with the mobile edge system to train DRL agents in a distributed way. This model can well solve the problems of uploading large amounts of training data via wireless channels, Non-IID and unbalance of training data when training DRL agents, restrictions on communication conditions, and data privacy. Experimental results show that the proposed ‘‘DRL + FL’’ model is superior to the traditional resource allocation algorithms SDR and LOBO and the intelligent resource allocation algorithm DRLRA in three aspects: minimizing the average energy consumption of the system, minimizing the average service delay, and balancing resource allocation.

4 Immature Dentate Granule Cells Require Ntrk2/Trkb for the Formation of Functional Hippocampal Circuitry
Early in brain development, impaired neuronal signaling during time-sensitive windows triggers the onset of neurodevelopmental disorders. GABA, through its depolarizing and excitatory actions, drives early developmental events including neuronal circuit formation and refinement. BDNF/TrkB signaling cooperates with GABA actions. How these developmental processes influence the formation of neural circuits and affect adult brain function is unknown. Here, we show that early deletion of Ntrk2/Trkb from immature mouse hippocampal dentate granule cells (DGCs) affects the integration and maturation of newly formed DGCs in the hippocampal circuitry and drives a premature shift from depolarizing to hyperpolarizing GABAergic actions in the target of DGCs, the CA3 principal cells of the hippocampus, by reducing the expression of the cation-chloride importer Nkcc1. These changes lead to the disruption of early synchronized neuronal activity at the network level and impaired morphological maturation of CA3 pyramidal neurons, ultimately contributing to altered adult hippocampal synaptic plasticity and cognitive processes.

5 Effect of a lead time-dependent cost on lead time quotation, pricing, and capacity decisions in a stochastic make-to-order system with endogenous demand
The research on lead time quotation in make-to-order stochastic systems with an endogenous demand generally considers a system modelled as an M/M/1 queue with a linear demand that is sensitive to lead time and price, and always assume a constant unit operating cost. It is known that firms can reduce the operating cost by quoting a longer lead time. The idea of this paper stems from this observation. Indeed, we extend the existing works by modelling the unit operating cost, not as a constant, but as a convex decreasing function of the quoted lead time, which significantly rises the analytical difficulty but offers opportunities for many insights. We study three settings: (i) lead time quotation model, (ii) lead time quotation and pricing model, and (iii) lead time quotation, pricing, and capacity decision model. For each setting, we provide the optimal policy and conduct experiments to derive insights. In particular, we analyze the new trade-offs raised by the consideration of a lead time-sensitive cost. Some of our results are not intuitive.

6 Closed loop supply chain networks: Designs for energy and time value efficiency
Product recovery has become a viable option for many industries to realize economic gains while pro tecting the environment. However, insufficient investment and inefficient supply chains have hampered the viability of reuse and/or recycling because of the extended time intervals between the recycling process of recovery and reuse. Manufacturers and distributors face the challenge and necessity to reduce these process delays in order to recover the maximum value of the returned products through an effective, responsive closed loop supply chain (CLSC). This paper quantitatively measures the effective responsiveness of the CLSC model in terms of time and energy efficiency. The proposed multi-objective mixed integer linear programming (MOMILP) model evaluates delay parameters with decision variables that maximize profit, optimize customer surplus and minimize energy use. The model suggests decision makers may achieve an optimal tradeoff among differing objectives in a multiple-objective CLSC sce nario. We employed a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) approach to solve the proposed MOMILP model and compared our approach with the Non-Dominated Sorted Genetic Algo rithm (NSGA-II) for optimal solution. Results of the comparative evolutionary approaches shows that MOPSO outperforms NSGA-II in almost all cases in achieving the best trade-off solutions. Sensitivity analysis carried out to test the robustness of the model confirms that substantially less cost is feasible through the reduction of return process delays. This paper aims to formulate a multi-objective CLSC problem based on a network-flow model measuring the time value to recover maximum assets lost due to delay at different stages of the recycle process. We also developed a particle swarm approach for a multi-objective CLSC. Our study also offers valuable insights for designers wishing to create a product flow network with an optimal capacity level in case of prioritized objectives scenarios.

7 AgBM-DTALite: An integrated modelling system of agent-based travel behaviour and transportation network dynamics
Advanced modelling methods and products, such as an integrated advanced travel demand model and a fine-grained time-sensitive network that can operate at statewide, metropolitan and subarea/corridor levels, are required by a number of transportation planning agencies to meet their objectives and address various key challenges. This research develops an application-ready integrated transportation model that can predict, in a future-year scenario or in a hypothetical scenario, both the changes in travel behavioural adjustments and the dynamics in traffic conditions. The integrated framework embeds theoretically sound behavioural foundation by incorporating agent-based searching, information acquisition, learning, knowledge updating and decision-making. Multidimensional travel behaviour, including mode choice, route choice, departure time choice and en-route diversion, is considered. Behavioural user equilibrium is defined without assuming perfect rationality. A dynamic traffic simulation engine is employed to model and simulate real-time traffic conditions. Data exchanges between the travel demand model and the traffic simulation are explained in detail. The integration is demonstrated using a real-world case study. Future applications should cover a wide spectrum of scenarios in transportation planning/policy and traffic operations/control analyses.
