1 Fog Node Self-Control Middleware: Enhancing context awareness towards autonomous decision making in Fog Colonies
میان افزار خودکنترلی گره مه: افزایش آگاهی از زمینه به سمت تصمیم گیری مستقل در کلونی های مه-2022
The concept of Fog Colonies has recently been introduced in Fog Computing, and is rapidly gaining attention. As Fog Colonies are extended, Fog Colony Control mechanisms have gained significant interest. Although, there are numerous solutions efficiently supporting a Context Aware coordinating entity, exploring approaches for decentralized control remains a challenge. Towards this direction, there are efforts promoting the concept of autonomous Fog Nodes, making their own decisions with internalized control without the existence of a coordinating entity. In this paper we propose and implement a Context Aware Self-Control management middleware for Fog Nodes, enabling their Self-Management utilizing contextual information shared between Fog colony members. To that end, we employ Policy Rulebooks to define Context Aware Policies that each Fog Node can enforce. Finally, we evaluated the proposed middleware against a non Context Aware one, under exactly the same conditions, using a real-world smart building use case, focusing on performance issues related to the end-user.

2 A knowledge-intensive adaptive business process management framework
چارچوب مدیریت فرآیند تجاری تطبیقی مبتنی بر دانش-2021
Business process management has been the driving force of optimization and operational efficiency for companies until now, but the digitalization era we have been experiencing requires businesses to be agile and responsive as well. In order to be a part of this digital transformation, delivering new levels of automation-fueled agility through digitalization of BPM itself is required. However, the automation of BPM cannot be achieved by solely focusing on process space and classical planning techniques. It requires a holistic approach that also captures the social aspects of the business environment, such as corporate strategies, organization policies, negotiations, and cooperation. For this purpose, we combine BPM, knowledge-intensive systems and intelligent agent technologies, and yield one consolidated intelligent business process management framework, namely agileBPM, that governs the entire BPM life-cycle. Accordingly, agileBPM proposes a modeling methodology to semantically capture the business interests, enterprise environment and process space in accordance with the agent-oriented software engineering paradigm. The proposed agent-based process execution environment provides cognitive capabilities (such as goal-driven planning, norm compliance, knowledge-driven actions, and dynamic cooperation) on top of the developed business models to support knowledge workers’ multicriteria decision making tasks. The context awareness and exception handling capabilities of the proposed approach have been presented with experimental studies. Through comparative evaluations, it is shown that agileBPM is the most comprehensive knowledge-intensive process management solution.

3 Context-Aware Computing, Learning, and Big Data in Internet of Things: A Survey
محاسبات متن آگاه، یادگیری و داده های بزرگ در اینترنت اشیا: یک مرور-2018
Internet of Things (IoT) has been growing rapidly due to recent advancements in communications and sensor technologies. Meanwhile, with this revolutionary transformation, researchers, implementers, deployers, and users are faced with many challenges. IoT is a complicated, crowded, and complex field; there are various types of devices, protocols, communication channels, architectures, middleware, and more. Standardization efforts are plenty, and this chaos will continue for quite some time. What is clear, on the other hand, is that IoT deployments are increasing with accelerating speed, and this trend will not stop in the near future. As the field grows in numbers and heterogeneity, “intelligence” becomes a focal point in IoT. Since data now becomes “big data,” understanding, learning, and reasoning with big data is paramount for the future success of IoT. One of the major problems in the path to intelligent IoT is understanding “context,” or making sense of the environment, situation, or status using data from sensors, and then acting accordingly in autonomous ways. This is called “context-aware computing,” and it now requires both sensing and, increasingly, learning, as IoT systems get more data and better learning from this big data. In this survey, we review the field, first, from a historical perspective, covering ubiquitous and pervasive computing, ambient intelligence, and wireless sensor networks, and then, move to context-aware computing studies. Finally, we review learning and big data studies related to IoT. We also identify the open issues and provide an insight for future study areas for IoT researchers

4 Towards the agility of collaborative workflows through an event driven approach – Application to crisis management
به سوی چابکی گردش کار مشترک از طریق یک رویکرد مبتنی بر رویداد - کاربرد در مدیریت بحران-2018
Organizations are more and more involved into collaborations to face globalization, crisis situations or market demand. Consequently, they are strongly dependent on their collaborative processes and matching workflows, which have to be relevant and efficient through time. As collaborations and their context are now fast evolving, agility of collaborative workflows is now an unavoidable requirement. Several solutions have been developed to deal with this issue, but they often focus their monitoring on a single aspect of the collaboration and/or impose a single adaptation strategy to face the detected evolutions. This article describes a platform to support decision making about the adaptation strategy to lead by: (i) taking into account and exploit relevant data gathered from the collaboration itself and its environment (context awareness); (ii) proposing relevant adaptation strategies to correct or improve the collaborative behaviour. Based on the solutions proposed by the platform, decision makers can choose the most appropriate adaptation tool to perform the selected adaptation strategy. As crisis responses are specific cases of collaboration in an unstable context of execution (short time to react, highly evolving environment), a proof of concept based on the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster is developed to illustrate the use of the developed platform.

5 COLLECT: COLLaborativE ConText-aware service oriented architecture for intelligent decision-making in the Internet of Things
معماری سرویس گرا متن اگاه همکارانه برای تصمیم گیری هوشمند در اینترنت اشیاء-2017
Internet of Things (IoT) has radically transformed the world; currently, every device can be connected to the Internet and provide valuable information for decision-making. In spite of the fast evolution of technologies accompanying the grow of IoT, we are still faced with the challenge of providing a service oriented architecture, which facilitates the inclusion of data coming together from several IoT devices, data delivery among a system’s agents, real-time data processing and service provision to users. Fur thermore, context-aware data processing and architectures still pose a challenge, in spite of being key requirements in order to get stronger IoT architectures. To face this challenge, we propose a COLLabora tive ConText Aware Service Oriented Architecture (COLLECT), which facilitates both the integration of IoT heterogeneous domain context data — through the use of a light message broker — and easy data delivery among several agents and collaborative participants in the system — making use of an enterprise service bus —. In addition, this architecture provides real-time data processing thanks to the use of a complex event processing engine as well as services and intelligent decision-making procedures to users accord ing to the needs of the domain in question. As a result, COLLECT has a great impact on context-aware decentralized and collaborative reasoning for IoT, promoting context-aware intelligent decision making in such scope. Since context-awareness is key for a wide range of recommender and intelligent systems, the presented novel solution improves decision making in a large number of fields where such systems require to promptly process a variety of ubiquitous collaborative and context-aware data.

6 The specification and design of secure context-aware workflows
مشخصات و طراحی گردش کارهای آگاهانه امن-2017
Article history:Received 4 February 2017Revised 14 May 2017Accepted 29 May 2017Available online 31 May 2017Keywords: Workflows Context-aware Security SpecificationThere are two major concerns in the development of current workflow system. The first is security con- siderations and the second is context awareness.Modern workflow systems cross the boundaries of organisations, each may have its own security re- quirements, policies and constraints. Even within one organisation, activities in a workflow system may be executed, in one of its instances, within a platform, but in another instance it may be executed or performed on a different platform with completely different environment. Indeed it may not even be au- tomated. This lends modern workflow systems to be security and context-critical. This is in addition to the fact that some of its activities must satisfy variety of hard timing constraints.Current specification and design languages for workflow systems are inadequate in dealing with context- aware secure workflows. This paper presents a sound wide-spectrum language, CS − F low, for the spec- ification and design of context-aware, secure workflow systems. As workflow systems have strong tem- poral aspects (e.g. activity sequencing, deadline, scheduling constraints, etc.), the proposed CS − F low is equipped with a rich set of temporal constructs together with temporal proof rules which can be used to be integrated with temporal expert systems, hence enhancing the capabilities of current workflow soft- ware. In addition, CS − F low is supported by a proof system which underpins the workflow engine that provides decision service using its state to make some decision and update the workflow state. CS − F low therefore provides a sound linkage between expert systems and workflow engines.© 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

8 ORACON: An adaptive model for context prediction
ORACON: مدل تطبیقی برای پیش بینی متن-2016
Keywords:Context awareness Context prediction Prediction algorithmsContext prediction has been receiving considerable attention in the last years. This research area seems to be the next logical step in context-aware computing, which, until a few years ago, had been concerned more with the present and the past temporal dimensions. Most of research works related to context prediction employ the same algorithm for all cases. We did not find any approach that automatically decides the best prediction method according to the situation. Therefore, we propose the ORACON model. ORACON adapts itself in order to apply the best algorithm to the case. This adaptive behavior is the main contribution of this work and differentiates the proposed model of other related works. Furthermore, ORACON supports other im- portant aspects of ubiquitous computing, such as, context formal representation and privacy. We have built a functional prototype that allowed us to conduct two experiments. The first experiment successfully tested the main functionalities provided by ORACON to support context prediction and privacy aspects. The test used context histories generated with a location database that contains 22 millions chekins across 220,000 users in the location sharing services Foursquare and Twitter. The second experiment assessed the adaptive feature of the ORACON. The test simulated the behavior of 30 users for a period of 30 days, using context histories generated through the Siafu simulator. This tool generates data for the evaluation and the com- parison of machine learning methods in mobile context-aware settings. We concluded that ORACON chose the most accurate prediction algorithm in the simulated scenario, proving that the model reached the main contribution sought by this research.© 2015 Elsevier Ltd. 9 Modeling knowledge need awareness using the problematic situations elicited from questions and answers
دانش مدلسازی مبتنی بر آگاهی با استفاده از موقعیت های مشکل ساز بدست آمده از پرسش و پاسخ-2015
Being aware of people’s unuttered knowledge needs is the prerequisite of providing ‘‘active’’ and ‘‘in time’’ knowledge assistance. However, such an awareness of knowledge needs has been achieved at a high cost since most existing methods rely on the manually defined rules or a large amount of user data to work. In this paper, we formulate the problematic situations in task processing as knowledge application context (KAC), and propose to elicit KACs semi-automatically from domain Q&A archives. Assuming that the KACs frequently occurring and semantically matching with the user’s task context are more likely to imply the knowledge needs of the user, we design a mechanism of knowledge need awareness (KNA) to predict users’ knowledge needs in complex tasks. Experimental results show that the proposed method has significantly outperformed the information retrieval approaches used as baselines. The study provides a new method for reusing the contextualized knowledge in Q&A and thereby opens up a new way to build efficient active knowledge systems.
