3 Digital Livestock Farming

As the global human population increases, livestock agriculture must adapt to provide more livestock products and with improved efficiency while also addressing concerns about animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and public health. The purpose of this paper is to critically review the current state of the art in digitalizing animal agriculture with Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) technologies, specifically biometric sensors, big data, and blockchain technology. Biometric sensors include either noninvasive or invasive sensors that monitor an individual animal’s health and behavior in real time, allowing farmers to integrate this data for population-level analyses. Real-time information from biometric sensors is processed and integrated using big data analytics systems that rely on statistical algorithms to sort through large, complex data sets to provide farmers with relevant trending patterns and decision-making tools. Sensors enabled blockchain technology affords secure and guaranteed traceability of animal products from farm to table, a key advantage in monitoring disease outbreaks and preventing related economic losses and food-related health pandemics. Thanks to PLF technologies, livestock agriculture has the potential to address the abovementioned pressing concerns by becoming more transparent and fostering increased consumer trust. However, new PLF technologies are still evolving and core component technologies (such as blockchain) are still in their infancy and insufficiently validated at scale. The next generation of PLF technologies calls for preventive and predictive analytics platforms that can sort through massive amounts of data while accounting for specific variables accurately and accessibly. Issues with data privacy, security, and integration need to be addressed before the deployment of multi-farm shared PLF solutions be- comes commercially feasible. Implications Advanced digitalization technologies can help modern farms optimize economic contribution per animal, reduce the drudgery of repetitive farming tasks, and overcome less effective isolated solutions. There is now a strong cultural emphasis on reducing animal experiments and physical contact with animals in-order-to enhance animal welfare and avoid disease outbreaks. This trend has the potential to fuel more research on the use of novel biometric sensors, big data, and blockchain technology for the mutual benefit of livestock producers, consumers, and the farm animals themselves. Farmers’ autonomy and data-driven farming approaches compared to experience-driven animal manage- ment practices are just several of the multiple barriers that digitalization must overcome before it can become widely implemented.

4 Feature based classification of voice based biometric data through Machine learning algorithm

In the era of big data and growing artificial intelligence, the requirement and necessity of biometric identification increase in a rapid manner. The digitalization and recent Pandemic crisis gives a boost to need to authorized identification which get fulfilled with biometric identification. Our paper focuses on same concept of checking the identification accuracy of machine learning algorithm REPTree on selected bio- metric dataset which is being deployed and evaluated on a data mining tool WEKA. Our target is to achieve more or equal to 95 percentages in order to predict the given sample data is accurately classified into our target variables values i.e. male female. The selected algorithm REPTree is a kind of decision tree classification algorithm which works on same concept as C4.5 and decision tree algorithm with speciality of generation of both kind of output i.e. discrete and continuous. The selection of algorithm gives us ben- efits with achievement of higher accuracy and selection of dataset also become easy with some required modification and pre-processing of data with some dimension reduction filters.© 2021 Elsevier Ltd. 5 Cybersecurity knowledge and skills for port facility security officers of international seaports_ Perspectives of IT and security personnel

Cyberattacks on worldwide port facilities have highlighted the urgent need for port facility security officers (PFSOs) to upgrade their cybersecurity knowledge and skills. This study used the survey data from all international container ports in Thailand and analyzed the results from two perspectives, i.e., IT and security officers. Based on 73 responses, cybersecurity knowledge and skill would become essential for PFSOs than ever before because the port digitalization and automation would shape the PFSOs career to a technically- oriented specialist rather than a multi-skilled generalist. Furthermore, the responsibilities of PFSOs would extend to cover cyber risk management, which enables them to prevent the digital port facilities from emerging cyber threats. Therefore, they should learn how to incorporate the existing risk management process with cyber risk management and cybersecurity knowledge because these would be the foundation for PFSOs to practice cybersecurity skills. At the end of the learning process, PFSOs could also gain cyber- security competence once they have mature knowledge and skill, which would be the vital element of port security hygiene. © 2021 The Authors. 6 The use of IT systems in financial and accounting services for enterprises in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic

In Poland, remote teams and work outside of the company were rare by this time. Almost all organizations had to virtualize at a faster rate by delegating their employees to work remotely, facing many challenges that they had to overcome in a short time. This article aims to check the directions and effects of changes in the digitalization of financial-accounting processes concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. The rate of use financial-accounting programs in remote work and upgrade of work organization, availability to internet platforms, identification security level of data, defining barriers that influence the limit of digitalization processes and financial-accounting programs were made.

7 Digitalization of the healthcare supply chain: A roadmap to generate benefits and effectively support healthcare delivery

The healthcare supply chain lags far behind supply chains in other industries in terms of performance and the deployment of best practices. Managers could bridge this gap and improve the performance of the healthcare supply chain by implementing digitalization initiatives. However, the erratic, disconnected digitalization of practices already deployed in the healthcare sector makes it difficult to maximize the potential of these initiatives. In order to generate the greatest benefits from digitalization while improving healthcare delivery, this article sets out a roadmap for implementing technologies. Unlike previous studies that focused on the entire supply chain or had been limited to patient flow, this study adopts the perspective of the hospital as a central launching point for digitalization initiatives. The roadmap, which involves both internal and external digitalization trajectories, is based on a research methodology that combines observations with an umbrella review of literature. This methodology enables us to capture the research challenges associated with the healthcare supply chain and show how digitalization initiatives can address them. The digitalization proposals put forward are structured in terms of priority and centered on hospitals. These proposals can help managers make improvements to the supply chain and also clinical flows.

8 The adoption of digital technologies in supply chains: Drivers, process and impact

Digital technologies have been extensively studied in academic research and industry. However, little is known about the adoption of digital technologies in manufacturing firms at a supply chain level. This paper aims to understand why and how manufacturing firms adopt digital technologies, and the impact of the adoption on supply chains. The study uses literature review method, identifies the main drivers of manufacturing firms adopting digital technologies (why), develops a new model of the adoption process (how), and synthesizes the impact of the adoption on supply chains into four aspects (what): supply chain efficiency, supply chain structure, sustainability and innovation. The paper then proposes a conceptual framework consisting of driver, process and impact, and discusses their inter-relationships. The study identifies that the technological intelligence and supply chain cooperation are two important factors and proposes a two-dimentional levels of adopting digital technologies according to their low-to-high degrees. The proposed framework, in particular the levels of digital technology adoption, are novel to the existing literature. Each of the three parts of the framework and their inter- relationships lays a foundation for further empirical studies in this field. This study also provides guidance for practitioners adopting digital technologies for supply chain management and developing appropriate business strategies at different digitalization levels.

9 Management Transformation with a Single Digital Platform as Exemplified by Accounting

The paper considers the solution to the problem of accounting method transformation under the influence of the accelerating economy digitalization that requires transition to new methods of working with information: in addition to reflecting the history of business activities, accounting statements should allow making decisions for the future at any time and at any production process stage; that is, it should be re-oriented from the control function to the informative one. This, in turn, requires integration based on digital standards of reporting information with information reflecting other aspects of the business and the external environment through developing new indicators, new methods of collecting and processing data. We have shown that a solution to this problem could be creating a single digital economy management platform consisting of two specialized sub-platforms: an aggregator subplatform for collecting and accumulating primary data and an application sub-platform for production management tasks. In this case, a widespread introduction of a single digital platform in any production process allows to migrate to a new type of manufacturing enterprises: from the quality control phase after the production phase towards the principle of current control over all production operation, which should also affect the entire taxation system. This system will become more efficient by increasing tax collection, reducing the cost of maintaining the financial and accounting service and actively including it in the production management system. In addition, such a digital platform will release a significant number of IT specialists, who are sorely lacking in the country, especially in agriculture, from the financial and accounting service with their reorientation to the introduction of new digital technologies in the form of mathematical models, artificial intelligence, big data, neural networks, which will give an additional impetus to the accelerated digitalization of the economy.

10 Digital interoperability in logistics and supply chain management: state-of-the-art and research avenues towards Physical Internet

Interoperability is playing an increasing role for today’s logistics and supply chain management (LSCM) because of the trends of cooperation or coopetition. Especially, digital interoperability concerning data or information exchange becomes a key enabler for the next evolutions that will massively rely upon digitalization, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems. The notion of Physical Internet (PI) is one such evolution, an innovative worldwide logistic paradigm aimed at interconnecting and coordinating logistics networks for efficiency and sustainability. This paper investigates how digital interoperability can help interconnect logistics and supply networks as well as the operational solutions for sustainable development, and examines the new challenges and research opportunities for digital interoperability under the PI paradigm. To this end, we study the most relevant technologies for digital interoperability in LSCM, via a bibliometric analysis based on 208 papers published during 2010−2020. The results reveal that the present state-of-the-art solutions of digital interoperability are not fully aligned with PI requirements and show new challenges, research gaps and opportunities that need further discussion. Accordingly, several research avenues are suggested to advance research and applications in this area, and to achieve interconnection in logistics and supply networks for sustainability.
