برنامه درسی و آموزش مقدماتی دانشجوی دوره اول مهندسی در زمینه تولید و جامعه ارائه شده است. این دوره برای استفاده از پهپاد کوادکوپتر به عنوان نمونه برای آموزش دانش در فرایندها و سیستم های تولید ، نشان دادن تأثیرات بالقوه ساخت به جامعه و تحریک یادگیری در نوآوری ، کار گروهی و ارتباطات در یک محیط مهندسی دنیای واقعی وهمچنین برای یادگیری و نحوه نتیجه گیری بهتر دانش آموزان طراحی شده است. این دوره بر اساس دو پروژه تیمی ساخته شده است. دانشجویان مونتاژ یک هواپیمای بدون سرنشین پیشرفته ، DJI Spark را تمرین و زمان بندی کردند و یک ارائه پروژه میان مدت و گزارش برنامه خود را برای راه اندازی کارخانه مونتاژ در میشیگان برای این پهپاد ایجاد کردند. دانش آموزان طراحی خط مونتاژ ، تعادل زمان چرخه ، مطالعه زمان ، اتوماسیون ، رباتیک ، ارگونومی را انجام دادند. پروژه نهایی ، طراحی و ساخت پیوست به یک هواپیمای بدون سرنشین DJI F330 ، برای مأموریتی است که به نفع جامعه خواهد بود. دانش آموزان جنبه های اجتماعی ساخت ، طراحی به کمک رایانه ، ساخت مواد افزودنی ، مهارت های ساخت و فرایندهای ساخت را فرا گرفتند. هر تیم یک نیاز اجتماعی را شناسایی کرده ، ضمیمه ای را برای پهپاد DJI F330 ، با مهندسان باتجربه طراحی کرده ، قطعات ساخته شده ، پیوست را مونتاژ کرده و آنها را در پروازهای آزمایشی پهپاد ارزیابی کرده است. این دوره با همکاری نزدیک با یک کالج جامعه محلی برای به اشتراک گذاشتن سخنرانی و مواد آزمایشگاهی و همچنین آموزش در ساخت برای استفاده از همان گروه فارغ التحصیلان دبیرستان اجرا شد. این رویکرد علوم اجتماعی یکپارچه ، تولید ، و ارتباطات فنی برای آموزش ساخت با استفاده از هواپیماهای بدون سرنشین و ارتباط ساخت و جامعه نشان داده شده است که برای یک دوره مقدماتی مهندسی کارآمد است. دانشجویان مهندسی دوره اول اغلب در ترم اول خود تغییرات و فشار فوق العاده ای را تجربه می کنند. جلسه سخنرانی ، آزمایشگاه و بحث برای ارتباطات برای کمک به انتقال دانش آموزان در ترم اول مطالعه مهندسی تنظیم شد.

42 A PAPR reduction scheme combining superimposed O-OFDM and M-law mapping for VLC-OFDM systems

Due to the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals, the inherent nonlinearity of light emitting diodes (LEDs) is a challenge for optical OFDM (O-OFDM) schemes in visible light communication (VLC) systems. In order to reduce PAPR to mitigate the effects of the nonlinearity of LEDs, and avoid the asymmetric clipping interference in the conventional hybrid OOFDM schemes, a novel superimposed O-OFDM scheme is proposed in this paper, which reduce the PAPR by combining the ????-law mapping and the superposition modulation. Moreover, at the transmitter, the hybrid O-OFDM components are superimposed in an interference-free way, the receiver does not require the operation of interference cancellation, and the symbols of each branch can be demodulated independently. Simulation results verify that the proposed scheme can significantly reduce the PAPR. At the same time, the comprehensive performance of the proposed scheme outperforms other competing schemes under the constraints of the nonlinearity and limited dynamic range of LEDs.

43 Project planning and risk management as a success factor for IT projects in agricultural schools in Serbia

Enterprises and business systems are introducing modern information and communication technologies into their organizations to improve their business processes and gain a competitive advantage. Theoretical research, as well as research carried out in practice, unambiguously indicate that companies take this step without the necessary professional analysis of business processes and insufficient knowledge of the project management methodology. Also, in this area there is a lack of adequate literature, especially in the field of information technology (IT) project management. This paper provides a new approach for research in the field of project management throughout a studious analysis of risk management in IT projects. To confirm hypotheses, this paper examines and outlines concrete IT management solutions in business systems with emphasis on education organizations, which leads to business improvement and achievement of positive business results.

44 Analysis of factors affecting project communications with a hybrid DEMATEL-ISM approach (A case study in Iran)

One of the main factors in the success of projects is communications management and proper and timely distribution of information among all internal and external project stakeholders. Despite of emphasizing on the importance of project communications in the literature, there are few studies identifying factors influencing project communications. This research aims to address this shortcoming by identifying and determining sequences and relationships factors affecting project communications and their clustering. The informed communication strategy allows managers to structure the information flow in a better and more controlled manner and to avoid the costs caused by lack of effective and timely communication. The present study is conducted to help clarify the views of the organizations managers and project managers on project communications, and to identify factors affecting it and how they effectively communicate to successfully accomplish the projects. First a number of factors influencing project communications are identified on the basis of previous studies and interviews with experts and project managers working in oil, gas and power plant construction megaprojects in Iran. Then, these factors are analyzed by using the combination of fuzzy DEMATEL and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) techniques. The relationships and sequence between the indicators are determined so that it can be effective in project communications planning and project success through providing an insight for senior managers and project managers.

45 Corporate crisis management on social media: A morality violations perspective

Communication via a social network function enabled by social media has greatly empowered consumers secondary crisis communication, as compared to a firms crisis communication, and has thus changed corporate crisis management. This study aims to uncover consumers decision process of engaging in secondary crisis communication in a social media context. Drawing on the social control perspective and impression management theory, this study examines the role of perceived morality violations and consumers susceptibility to social influence in shaping consumers secondary crisis communication in corporate crises. Moreover, leveraging cognitive dissonance theory, this study further examines the effects of corporate responses on the process of consumers secondary crisis communication. A survey design with four scenarios was conducted to test a series of hypotheses relating to the decision process of secondary crisis communication. Our empirical results demonstrate that consumers approach to secondary crisis communication on social media depends largely to the degree to which they perceive moral violations in the firms crisis response. The findings also show that consumers tend to want to believe they are doing the “right thing” when considering secondary crisis communication and thus are afraid of being disliked by others for their purchasing decisions related to a firm in crisis. Such social conformance can result in a snowballing of negative word of mouth in product-harm crises cases. Findings contribute to the literature on social media crisis management and consumers communication behavior on social media during product-harm crises.

46 A framework for effective corporate communication after cyber security incidents

A major cyber security incident can represent a cyber crisis for an organisation, in particular because of the associated risk of substantial reputational damage. As the likelihood of falling victim to a cyberattack has increased over time, so too has the need to understand exactly what is effective corporate communication after an attack, and how best to engage the concerns of customers, partners and other stakeholders. This research seeks to tackle this problem through a critical, multi-faceted investigation into the efficacy of crisis communication and public relations following a data breach. It does so by drawing on academic literature, obtained through a systematic literature review, and real-world case studies. Qualitative data analysis is used to interpret and structure the results, allowing for the development of a new, comprehensive framework for corporate communication to support companies in their preparation and response to such events. The validity of this framework is demonstrated by its evaluation through interviews with senior industry professionals, as well as a critical assessment against relevant practice and research. The framework is further refined based on these evaluations, and an updated version defined. This research represents the first grounded, comprehensive and evaluated proposal for characterising effective corporate communication after cyber security incidents.

47 An experimental contingent valuation of users’ attitudes towards a Crowd Management System

Smart city projects are being launched globally to enhance the well-being of citizens. Meanwhile, the valueadded of the projects is not easy to evaluate due to the non-market nature of the public services provided. This study intends to investigate the attitudes of potential users of a Crowd Management System (CMS) to help with the decision-making on smart city projects. The CMS studied in this paper is applied in large-scale events to enable safe and efficient dissipation of event participants as one of the pilot Smart City projects in Hong Kong. It does so by providing real-time information on public transport for their return journeys when a large number of participants all finish their activities within a short time span. Reducing injuries of pedestrians can be achieved in major gatherings to improve safety. This paper presents an experimental analysis of users’ attitudes towards the CMS with the Contingent Valuation (CV) method. A marathon event in Hong Kong was chosen for an on-thespot survey of actual users as part of an experimental study. Subsequently a similar survey was carried out offsite among marathon runners not participating in that event (as a control group) for data reliability comparison. The Willingness-to-Pay value is also derived from the pooled samples to evaluate users’ attitudes. Besides, the results indicate that runners’ perceived usefulness and online payment habit significantly influence the stated Willingness-to-Pay (WTP) for the CMS in question.

48 Enterprise architecture breakthrough for telecommunications transformation: A reconciliation model to solve bankruptcy

Observations of communication service providers (CSPs) over the past five years have revealed that text services have reduced radically by around 75%, followed by voice services and the average revenue per user (ARPU). This condition signifies that telecommunications companies are being affected by digital disruption. A fundamental analysis of current business processes is thus necessary for future telecommunications success. In the area of corporate strategic management, studies on conversion of the Internet of Things (IoT)-based industry as a new customer are gaining popularity. This research analyzes the breakthrough operational activities through a customer-centric approach as well as end-to-end CSP business activities towards a new customer reconciliation model. The customer-centric activities address problem to solution and complaint to solution. In the future, CSPs are expected to have large numbers of newly registered customers from IoT-based industries. The strategic mechanism for transforming leaps from old business processes into new ones is a novel research subject using the business process management (BPM) method. Business process analysis has been facilitated by the Internationa Telecommunication Union (ITU) telecommunications standards body developed by TMForum as the global telecommunications industry association. This transformation involves development of organizational structure, business activities, technical specifications, information and communication flow, and operational schemes, modeled under the enterprise architecture strategic notation, whose result is a breakthrough enterprise archi- tecture design for future telecommunications companies. The design contributes to strategic management knowledge on how collaboration between the telecommunications industry and other IoT-based industries is determined for real operations. This research presents a transformation scheme that can solve the potential problem of bankruptcy in the telecommunications industry through a case study of a smart city in the IoT-based industry.

49 IEC 61850 based energy management system using plug-in electric vehicles and distributed generators during emergencies

During emergencies, alternative power system operation that utilizes local assets to energize local loads will change the face of the situation. While distributed generators (DGs) such as PV or wind turbines can be utilized for generation, plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) can act as mobile generators. Different strategies for forming dynamic and networked microgrids utilizing the local generation during emergencies have been widely proposed in literature. However, the underlying communication required for optimal formation of dynamic microgrids and energy management during emergencies is not discussed. Addressing this gap, this paper develops a communication- based energy management system for emergency cases based on IEC 61850 standard. The IEC 61850 based communication modeling provides interoperability and serves for plug-and-play purposes. Furthermore, for establishing communication during emergencies the concept of Cognitive Radio (CR) is proposed in this scheme. Simulation results show the feasibility of modeling and acceptability of its performance.

50 AI as a moral crumple zone: The effects of AI-mediated communication on attribution and trust

AI-mediated communication (AI-MC) represents a new paradigm where communication is augmented or generated by an intelligent system. As AI-MC becomes more prevalent, it is important to understand the effects that it has on human interactions and interpersonal relationships. Previous work tells us that in human interactions with intelligent systems, misattribution is common and trust is developed and handled differently than in interactions between humans. This study uses a 2 (successful vs. unsuccessful conversation) x 2 (standard vs. AI-mediated messaging app) between subjects design to explore whether AI mediation has any effects on attribution and trust. We show that the presence of AI-generated smart replies serves to increase perceived trust between human communicators and that, when things go awry, the AI seems to be perceived as a coercive agent, allowing it to function like a moral crumple zone and lessen the responsibility assigned to the other human communicator. These findings suggest that smart replies could be used to improve relationships and perceptions of conversational outcomes between interlocutors. Our findings also add to existing literature regarding perceived agency in smart agents by illustrating that in this type of AI-MC, the AI is considered to have agency only when communication goes awry.
