1 Influencing factors on energy management in industries
Energy management has been considered in the global agenda as a way to improve energy performance and greenhouse gas reduction in organizations. Industries account for a significant part of energy use worldwide and present opportunities for energy efficiency improvements. Within the industry, energy management is a complex task, regarding scenarios with variables related to the following perspectives: economics, contingency, technological change and behavioural. This paper aims at analyzing the influencing factors on energy management in industries from these perspectives. A survey with 40 variables was carried out with middle managers from different industrial sectors in Brazil. The variables were divided into three groups: drivers for investments in energy efficiency; organizational processes and actions in energy management; involvement of middle managers. Initially, an exploratory factor analysis technique was employed aiming at specifying the main factors influencing energy management. In the sequence, a confirmatory factor analysis was used to associate the variables to the main factors as well as to know how the factors relate to each other. The study showed a positive correlation among all the factors identified. Statistical tests suggested that the factors could not be explained separately. Hypotheses tests were applied to verify the influence of the factors among the groups surveyed. The final model comprised eight factors into the three groups: organizational (strategic, operational), involvement (motivation, support), drivers (production, economics, competitiveness, environment). The results and the main implications of the study are discussed in the paper.

2 An overview of and factor analytic approach to flow theory in online contexts
An overview of flow theory is presented from the literature across multiple disciplines, including information systems, ecommerce, marketing, digital gaming, user interface, management, and cultural contexts. Flow can play a pivotal role in the user experience and impact the user interaction with a site, computing device, or app. It is worthwhile to examine the effects of flow experience on users and incorporate these findings in designing engaging user experiences and interfaces in both web sites and mobile applications. To further understand these implications, the present study gave a questionnaire to 310 participants in a computer laboratory setting following an online shopping episode. The factor analysis revealed three dimensions of flow experience: control, attention focus, and cognitive enjoyment. All three dimensions had very low correlations. No gender effect on flow was found.

3 PWR pin-homogenized cross-sections analysis using big-data technology
To accurately and reliably predict the behavior of the nuclear reactor core, pin-by-pin fuel management calculation is becoming the next most possible methodology for the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR). The fewgroup constants parameterization, however, would be the most challenge problem due to the large number of few-group constants and the complicated pin-cell states during the entire operation history of the reactor core. In this study, the big-data analysis technologies were employed to find a possible relationship between the pin-cell homogenized few-group constants and the pin-cell homogenized nuclide densities. Firstly, correlation analysis demonstrated a strong multicollinearity between different nuclide densities, which implies a significant internal structure and interaction among them. Secondly, by using the factor analysis, the large number of nuclide densities were reduced to a small group of nuclide density factors that can reflect the main information of their variation trends. Thirdly, multiple regression analysis between the nuclide density factors and few-group constants verified the possibility of using nuclide density in form of driven factors as the state parameters to predict the few-group constants.

4 PEVs data mining based on factor analysis method for energy storage and DG planning in active distribution network: Introducing S2S effect
The load demand modeling of Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) has been taken more attention in todays power system studies. Big-data should be handled for accurate modeling of PEVs load demand. Therefore, the utilization of data mining tools will be helpful for PEVs data analytics and clustering. In this paper, a Factor Analysis (FA) based method is introduced for the PEVs data mining. The load profiles of PEVs that are extracted by Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) are clustered in some groups optimally using FA method. The clustered data is applied on Energy Storage Systems (ESSs) and Distributed Generation (DGs) planning procedure, separately. The simulation results show the power demand of PEVs effect on both ESSs and DGs planning, however, the temporal feature of PEVs profiles affects only on ESS planning, but not considerably on DG planning. This temporal feature, here called Storage to Storage (S2S) effect, reflects the nature of PEVs and ESS long-term memory which is discussed in this paper. The simulation results show that the optimal ESSs capacity is reduced if the PEVs data are clustered especially in high PEVs penetration. However, the optimal capacities of DGs is the same with and without PEVs data clustering scenarios.

5 Elastic-net regularized latent factor analysis-based models for recommender systems
Latent factor analysis (LFA)-based models are highly efficient in recommender systems. The problem of LFA is defined on high-dimensional and sparse (HiDS) matrices corresponding to relationships among numerous entities in industrial applications. It is ill-posed without a unique and optimal solution, making regularization vital in improving the generality of an LFA-based model. Current models mostly adopt l 2 - norm-based regularization, which cannot regularize the latent factor distributions. For addressing this issue, this work applies the elastic-net-based regularization to an LFA-based model, thereby achieving an elastic-net regularized latent factor analysis-based (ERLFA) model. We further adopt two efficient learning algorithms, i.e., forward-looking sub-gradients and forward-backward splitting and stochastic proximal gradient descent, to train desired latent factors in an ERLFA-based model, resulting in two novel ERLFA- based models relying on different learning schemes. Experimental results on four large industrial datasets show that by regularizing the latent factor distribution, the proposed ERLFA-based models are able to achieve high prediction accuracy for missing data of an HiDS matrix without additional computational burden.

8 What pulls ancestral tourists ‘home’? An analysis of ancestral tourist motivations
Ancestry has received limited attention within the tourism literature but is shown to play a crucial role in heritage tourism, especially for countries with extended diasporas such as Ireland, Italy India, China, and Scotland. The purpose of this study is to explore ancestral tourist motivations, and attain a broader understanding of this market. A survey of 282 ancestral tourists allowed the identification of three key factors: ancestral tourist motivation; heritage tourist motivations; and mass tourist motivation. These themes enabled a detailed analysis of clusters, identifying four ancestral segments: full heritage immersion; the ancestral enthusiast; general interest; and heritage focused. Given the lack of funding and resources currently available to ancestral tourism providers, the identification of these factors goes some way to highlighting productive areas of focus for promotional efforts and resources.

9 Why do individuals engage in collective actions against major construction projects? —An empirical analysis based on Chinese data
Collective actions against major construction projects are becoming common because of the public’s increasing civil rights awareness and environmental consciousness. Thus, it is important to explore the critical factors responsible for collective actions against major construction projects. This study initially developed 25 indicators inducing collective actions based on a comprehensive literature review. An empirical study with 127 samples was conducted using questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews from projects located in Central China. Furthermore, ranking analysis and factor analyses were implemented to conclude that collective actions in major construction projects can be explained by a six-dimension critical factor system: benefits to the public, characteristics of project performers, layout of projects, living quality of the public, perceptions of the public, and influence from the authority. This study contributes to government administration for collective actions against major construction projects and serves as a useful reference for further studies of this type.

10 The role of Big Data in explaining disaster resilience in supply chains for sustainability
The purpose of this paper is to propose and test a theoretical framework to explain resilience in supply chain networks for sustainability using unstructured Big Data, based upon 36,422 items gathered in the form of tweets, news, Facebook, WordPress, Instagram, Googleþ, and YouTube, and structured data, via responses from 205 managers involved in disaster relief activities in the aftermath of Nepal earthquake in 2015. The paper uses Big Data analysis, followed by a survey which was analyzed using content analysis and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of the analysis suggest that swift trust, in formation sharing and publiceprivate partnership are critical enablers of resilience in supply chain networks. The current study used cross-sectional data. However the hypotheses of the study can be tested using longitudinal data to attempt to establish causality. The article advances the literature on resilience in disaster supply chain networks for sustainability in that (i) it suggests the use of Big Data analysis to propose and test particular frameworks in the context of resilient supply chains that enable sustainability; (ii) it argues that swift trust, public private partnerships, and quality information sharing link to resilience in supply chain networks; and (iii) it uses the context of Nepal, at the moment of the disaster relief activities to provide contemporaneous perceptions of the phenomenon as it takes place.
