1 When are stakeholder pressures effective? An extension of slack resources theory
There has been an intense debate on when stakeholder pressures are effective in driving firms to contribute to sustainable development. Drawing upon institutional theory and slack resources theory, we theorize that country-level sustainability performance interacts with slack resources in shaping corporate responsiveness to stakeholder pressures. Empirical results based on the data from 6th International Manufacturing Strategy Survey and secondary data of the Human Development Index and the Environmental Performance Index support our hypotheses. As hypothesized, in countries with low level sustainability performance, firms with considerable slack resources are more responsive to stakeholder pressures than their peers with limited slack resources. In contrast, in countries with high levels of sustainability performance, there are no significant differences between firms with and without considerable slack resources in their responsiveness to stakeholder pressures. This study contributes to a better understanding of organizational responses to stakeholder pressures. Moreover, it suggests that stakeholders, depending on country-level sustainability performance, should adopt different strategies to stimulate firms to participate in sustainable development.

2 Implementation fidelity in computerised assessment of book reading
Measuring the implementation fidelity (IF) or integrity of interventions is extremely important, since without it a positive or negative outcome cannot be interpreted. However, IF is actually measured relatively rarely. Direct and indirect methods of measurement have been used in the past, but tend to over-emphasize teacher behaviour. This paper focuses on student behaviour collated through computers - an interesting alternative. It deals with the reading of real books and reading achievement, for which variables a very large amount of computerised data was available – on 852,295 students in 3243 schools. Reading achievement was measured pre-post with STAR Reading, a computerised item-banked adaptive norm-referenced test of reading comprehension. IF came from the Accelerated Reader (AR), which measures understanding of independent reading of real books the student has chosen by a quiz. Results showed higher IF was related to higher achievement. Neither IF nor reading achievement related to socio-economic status. Primary (elementary) schools had higher IF and achievement than secondary (high) schools. Females had higher IF and achievement than males. Students of higher reading ability implemented AR at a higher level, but did not gain in reading at a higher level. However, this computerised method of measuring IF with book reading showed limited reliability, no greater than methods emphasising teacher behaviour. In future, IF measures emphasising student response and those emphasising teacher behaviour need to be blended, although the latter will never generate the sample size of the former. This may be true of implementation fidelity in areas other than book reading.

3 Analysis of the relation between computational thinking skills and various variables with the structural equation model
The aim of this study is to determine how much various variables explain students computational thinking (CT) skills. Furthermore, it was aimed to produce a model that explains and predicts the relations between computational thinking skills and various variables. Study group consists of 156 students who were studying in 5–12. Class in 2015–2016 academic year in different schools in Ankara. Relational screening model was used in this research. Two different data collection instruments were used in this research. The first one is “Personal Information Form”. The second one is “Computational Thinking Skills Scale”. Structural Equation Model was used in data analysis so as to produce a model that explains and predicts the relations between computational thinking skills and various variables. According to research results, it was found that computational thinking skill was highly predicted by variables, respectively; “thinking styles, academic success in mathematic class, attitude against mathematic class”.

4 E-government adoption in sub-Saharan Africa
Over the past decade, there has been increased interest in understanding the underlying factors that influence the adoption of e-government services using a variety of technology acceptance models. One such model is the unified model of electronic government adoption (UMEGA), which has been validated as outperformed other models. The present study empirically tested UMEGA and an extended version of it using data from 282 respondents in a sub-Saharan African country, South Africa. The findings show that except for the association of effort expectancy with attitude, all other hypothesized associations of UMEGA were supported. Also, the extended version of the model performed better than the original version, with the total variance explained for attitudes modestly increasing and that for behavioral intention modestly improving also. We observed that performance expectancy, social influence, perceived risk and computer self-efficacy significantly influenced attitudes, while attitudes, facilitating conditions, trust of government and trust of the Internet had a direct significant influence on behavioral intention. For researchers, this study indicates the need to adequately refine e-government adoption models for use in different context. These findings from South Africa also provide an understanding of factors that the South African government can consider when developing strategies for improving the adoption of e-government services.
