X-PHM: پیش آگهی و چارچوب دانش مبتنی بر مدیریت سلامت برای SME-2021 Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) is an emerging concept based on industrial data management. The implementation of PHM in
small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is currently limited due to data accessibility difficulties. In order to overcome this pitfall, one could
formalize the operators’ knowledge and integrate it in the SME’s information system. Thus, the implementation of the PHM will be based
on this information system associating data with knowledge. To this end, we propose a collaborative PHM approach (X-PHM) to ensure the
extraction of operators’ knowledge and its integration into the PHM process. The decision resulting from this approach is restituted with a concern
of explainability. This paper details the proposed approach while focusing on the data management process and its integration in explainable
decisions. This new framework is applied in a French SME to understand its production process and facilitate its digital transformation.

Top management knowledge value, knowledge sharing practices, open innovation and organizational performance
ارزش مدیریت دانش بالا، شیوه های اشتراک دانش، نوآوری باز و عملکرد سازمانی-2021 Open innovation as driver of organizational performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has
received relatively little scholarly attention. Drawing upon the resource-based view and the knowledge-based
view of firms, we examined antecedents and outcome of open innovation in SMEs. We collected multisource
data from 404 SMEs and used structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. Our study suggests that top
management knowledge value and knowledge creating practices influence open innovation, which, in turn,
influences organizational performance. Results of the study are discussed in the light of previous studies and

R&D internationalization in medium-sized firms: The moderating role of knowledge management in enhancing innovation performances

outcomes. Most studies on the topic focused on large multinational companies (MNCs), leaving several gaps in
the literature with regard to SMEs. Using data from 106 Italian SMEs we performed an OLS regression analysis to
test and find evidence of a positive linear relationship between SME’s R&D internationalization and innovation
performance. In addition, we found that this relationship is positively moderated by knowledge management
(KM) orientation. Main contributions are directed to the empirical test of the aforementioned relationships in a
specific under developed research area, i.e. non-high tech SMEs, thus highlighting the positive effect of foreign
acquisition of diverse cross-cultural knowledge on innovation. Moreover, KM orientation has been found to
amplify this effect in the context of SMEs, due to a better management and integration of key internal and

Knowledge management capabilities and organizational risk-taking for business model innovation in SMEs

management (KM) capabilities are a valuable source for innovation. However, little is known about the
particular KM capabilities that lead to business model innovation (BMI) and whether their effect is dependent
upon the firm’s orientation towards risk-taking. We examine the impact internal and external KM capabilities
have on BMI and how these effects are moderated by its risk-taking tolerance. We empirically analyze a sample of
197 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) applying structural equation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy-set
qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). The results from the SEM indicate that particularly external KM ca-
pabilities stimulate BMI. This relationship is strengthened for firms with a high risk-taking tolerance. Internal
knowledge is only effective for firms with a low risk-taking tolerance. The fsQCA results substantiate these

Contextual factors and performance impact of e-business use in Indonesian small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
عوامل زمینه ای و تأثیر عملکرد استفاده از تجارت الکترونیکی در شرکت های کوچک و متوسط اندونزی (SME)-2020 This study proposes an integrated framework that investigates interrelationships between contextual factors that influence e-business use and consequently its impact on enterprise performance among small and medium en- terprises (SMEs). This study starts with an extensive systematic review of e-business use factors that are contextualized in the technology, organization and environment (TOE) framework and conceptualized using resource-based view (RBV). Data are obtained through a survey of 325 Indonesian SMEs. The partial least square structural equation modeling technique is used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. The organizational context emerges as the most significant predictor of e-business use, followed by technological and environmental contexts respectively. In addition, e-business use has stronger positive influence on enterprise performance at operational level, rather than managerial and strategic levels. However, e-business uses influence on performance impact at strategic level is indirect, mediating through operational and managerial levels. While the study has attempted to explain the contextual factors that influence the use of e-business as a whole, it is deficient in explaining contextual factors that influence each of e-business applications being used. This study could help SMEs identify contextual areas that may guide them to successfully use e-business and realize its potential benefits. Innovation and the entrepreneurial performance in women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan
نوآوری و عملکرد کارآفرینی در شرکت های کوچک و متوسط متعلق به زنان در پاکستان-2020 Purpose: This study is an attempt to examine the impact of entrepreneurship and innovation on the entrepreneurial performance of women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan. The study also investigates the mediating role of innovation in the relationship between entrepreneurship and performance in women-owned businesses from emerging economy of Pakistan. Methodology/Approach: Data was collected from the 261 registered women entrepreneurs from all the fifteen Pakistani womens chambers of commerce and industries by employing self-administered questionnaires for complementing a comprehensive literature review on innovation and womens entrepreneurship and performance. Data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression and factor analysis. Findings: The results show a significant direct relationship between entrepreneurship, innovation and the entrepreneurial performance. The two entrepreneurial traits, namely risk taking tendency and the need for achievement have a significant effect on innovation and the entrepreneurial performance. Moreover, innovation has a direct relationship with performance and also it mediates the entrepreneurship- performance link of women- owned small and medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan. Research limitations: The present study is limited to only women entrepreneurs who are registered with the chambers of commerce and industries in Pakistan. Women entrepreneurs associated with federations and several women business development centers have not been considered in the population. Practical implications: This study emphasizes the significance of entrepreneurship to innovation and the entrepreneurial performance in women-owned SMEs. It is a major contribution to understanding the existing practices and theories of entrepreneurship and innovation in enterprises. In order to improve performance and innovation, management should focus and promote risk taking and the need for achievement. The government should initiate support programs for womens entrepreneurial activities; promote fair competition between men and women and give special grants to women entrepreneurs in order to improve their performance. A conceptual model of entrepreneurial competencies and their impacts on rural youths intention to launch SMEs

Then, weights were assigned to the components by key experts of rural entrepreneurship using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Finally, the impact of entrepreneurial competencies was assessed on rural youths intention to launch SMEs. The research population in the survey part was composed of the rural youth of Kangavar County in Kermanshah province, Iran (N = 6207). The sample size was estimated to be 361 individuals who were taken by the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire whose face and content validity was confirmed by a panel of experts and its reliability was confirmed through a pilot study. Pairwise comparisons by experts showed that strategic, communicative, psychological and opportunistic competences were the most to least important factors underpinning the rural youths intention to establish SMEs. Also, among entrepreneurial competencies, five components including entrepreneurial vigilance, networking ability, individualism, tolerance of ambiguity, and market analysis accounted for 39.2 percent of the variance of the rural youths intention to launch SMEs. It is recommended to empower rural youth in capabilities such as planning to initiate a business and the analysis of markets in order to strengthen their strategic competencies. Spillover effects of government initiatives fostering entrepreneurship on the access to bank credit for entrepreneurial firms in Europe
اثرات سرریز ابتکارات دولتی در زمینه تقویت کارآفرینی بر دسترسی به اعتبار بانکی برای شرکت های کارآفرین در اروپا-2020 We explore the role of government initiatives fostering entrepreneurship—in the form of tax advantages and government support—in influencing the probability that entrepreneurial firms obtain bank credit and are not discouraged from applying for a loan. We propose that govern- ment initiatives fostering entrepreneurship should allow entrepreneurial firms to access more bank credit by reducing the risk incurred by lenders. We simultaneously estimate the probability of obtaining credit when a firm applies for a loan and the probability that the firm has been discouraged when it does not apply for a loan. In both cases we control for endogeneity. Our results are based on 18,872 observations (from the European Central Bank (ECB) SAFE dataset and Global Entrepreneurship Monitor – GEM) and show that government initiatives improve the probability of entrepreneurial firms obtaining bank credit but do not affect the probability of being discouraged from borrowing. The results also suggest that government initiatives fostering entrepreneurship are of most benefit to younger, smaller, high-growth, and more innovative firms that operate in contexts where the demand for, and accordingly the competition for, bank credit is strongest.
