1 ICT for socio-economic development: A citizens’ perspective
ICT برای توسعه اجتماعی - اقتصادی: یک دیدگاه شهروندی-2018
There is a widespread belief that information and communication technologies (ICTs) can play a significant role in the socio-economic development of a developing country. ICT has the potential to affect many aspects of economic and societal activities such as GDP growth, employment, productivity, poverty alleviation, quality of life, education, and healthcare. While the literature provides a myriad of definitions and elements of socio-economic development, the focus tends to be on theoretical conceptualizations from various disciplines and impacts from isolated individual projects. In particular, the impact of ICT on socio-economic development has not been carefully examined from the viewpoint of the ultimate stakeholder, the citizens of a country, who are the final consumers of the technology. This study fills this gap by focusing on the citizens’ view in describing ICT-driven socio-economic development in a developing country. A theoretical framework influenced by the “capabilities approach” was developed to guide this research, and the interpretive stance was used to conduct the study. More specifically, the narrative research method, which is seldom used in IS research but is appropriate for this study, was used. Narratives allow deeper and profound insights into social representations and participants beliefs about the role of ICT in socio-economic development. Using this methodology, a model of the impact dimensions of socio-economic development is presented.

2 Building organizational resilience in the face of multiple disruptions
ایجاد برجهندگی سازمانی در مواجهه با انقطاع های مختلف-2018
The increasing number of natural and man-made hazards is forcing organizations to build resilience against numerous types of disruptions that threaten continuity of their business processes. This paper presents an integrated business continuity and disaster recovery planning (IBCDRP) model to build organizational resilience that can respond to multiple disruptive incidents, which may occur simultaneously or sequentially. This problem involves multiple objectives and accounts for inherent epistemic uncertainty in input data. A multi-objective mixed-integer robust possibilistic programming model is formulated, which accounts for sensitivity and feasibility robustness. The model aims to plan both internal and external resources with minimal resumption time, restoration time, and loss in the operating level of critical functions by making tradeoffs between required resources for continuity plans, recovery time, and the recovery point. A real case study in a furniture manufacturing company is conducted to demonstrate the performance and applicability of the proposed IBCDRP model. The results confirm the capability of the proposed model to improve organizational resilience. In addition, the proposed model demonstrates the interaction between the organizational resilience and required resources, particularly in respect to the total budget and external resources, which is necessary for developing continuity and recovery strategies.

3 A comprehensive framework of information system design to provide organizational creativity support
یک چارچوب جامع طراحی سیستم اطلاعات برای پشتیبانی از خلاقیت سازمانی-2018
This research is motivated by two considerations: (1) organizational creativity is a component that enhances the ability of organizations to retain their competitive advantage and (2) too little research has been conducted worldwide that focuses on the design of information systems to provide organizational creativity support. This research proposes a comprehensive and conceptual framework for the design of organizational creativity support systems. To address the objective of this study, two theories, the resource-based view and a multiagent approach, are used to build the model proposed. The customer opinions from websites concerning a consumer electronics product are used to validate such a system. The theoretical contributions, practical implications, and future directions of the study are presented and discussed.

4 Group technology: Amalgamation with design of organisational structures
فناوری گروهی: آمیختگی با طراحی ساختارهای سازمانی-2018
Group technology has been studied extensively from an ‘industrial engineering’ perspective (layout, scheduling, workflow, etc.), but less often from an organisational design viewpoint. To study this implication of group technology, the approach of applied systems theory for the design of organisational structures was used as framework for analysis in three empirical cases. To increase the reliability of findings from the analysis of these three empirical cases, five more cases were drawn from archival search. Cluster analysis and product flow analysis were the methods used for forming groups of machines and employees in manufacturing cells, whereas the coding of parts was not employed to this end. Furthermore, the results indicate that the implementation of group technology generally meets shifts in performance requirements caused by competitive pressures, particularly flexibility and responsiveness, albeit the companies considered group technology only when under pressure of ‘poor’ business performance. However, group technology is not always a solution to challenges that companies experience; one empirical case shows that defunctionalisation and scheduling with virtual groups was more beneficial. Nevertheless, when the introduction of group technology is feasible, it also allows firms to consider delegating responsibility for production planning and scheduling to lower levels in the hierarchy and semi-autonomous groups as an alternative to ‘complex’ software applications (a socio-technical approach). Whereas the current study sheds light on the relationship between group technology and design of organisational structures, further research is necessary into the design of these structures and their relationship to group technology.

5 How do network resources affect firms network-oriented dynamic capabilities?
چگونه منابع شرکتی بر قابلیت های پویای شبکه - گرای شرکتها اثر می گذارد؟-2018
While the extant literature investigating the dynamic capabilities that cross the boundaries of firms (i.e., network-oriented dynamic capabilities) has predominantly focused on the identification of their underlying routines or their impact on the firms performance, the determinants of these routines have largely remained unexplored. Our study seeks to address this issue by investigating how the attributes of network resources (i.e., assets that belong to or are deployed by actors with whom a firm is connected through direct or indirect relationships) influence firms network-oriented dynamic capabilities. A multiple-case study including 50 network resource sets embedded in 10 business units of five multinational firms spanning pharmaceutical, aircraft power system, and consumer goods industries is conducted. The findings reveal the effects of eight network resource attributes on the three clusters of network-oriented dynamic capabilities (i.e., sensing, seizing and transforming) as follows: rarity affects the effectiveness of sensing, complementarity affects the effectiveness of seizing, accessibility and usability affect the efficiency of seizing, scalability and appropriability affect the effectiveness of transforming, and finally utility and versatility affect the efficiency of transforming.

6 Corporate environmental investments: A cross-national study on managerial decision making
سرمایه گذاری های محیطی شرکتی: یک مطالعه بین کشوری روی تصمیم گیری مدیریتی-2018
What drives developing country managers to raise their environmental investments? Using theoretical arguments set forth by the Convergence and Divergence Hypotheses in industrial economics, this study develops a series of hypotheses about the effects of country, consumer pressure, community pressure, and resource availability on managers environmental investment decisions. Using a random assignment factorial survey experiment (FSE) that combines vignettes and questionnaires, it compares responses from managers in developing countries (349 managers from Brazil, China, and India) and those from developed countries (377 managers from Germany and USA). Results suggest that, given the same situation, developing country managers raise their investments to a lesser extent in response to consumer pressures, when compared to developed country managers. When community pressure moderates consumer pressure, developing country managers make notably larger investments. Greater availability of resources does not affect developing country managers investment level contrary to developed country managers.
