The applications of Internet of Things in the automotive industry: A review of the batteries, fuel cells, and engines

encouraged researchers to focus on the applications of IoT in the automotive industry. Although
different achievements in the in-vehicle network analysis and traffic management have been
already reviewed, a comprehensive study to bring together the main applications of the IoT in the
automotive industry is required. Internal combustion engines (ICEs) are established as the most
common prime-mover for cars, however, with the depleting fossil-fuel resources, the interest in
the usage of fuel cells and batteries has increased. In this regard, the main goal of the current
study is to evaluate the application of IoT in batteries, fuel cells, and ICEs. This paper is also
centralized on different types of IoT applications and combines them with empirical articles such
as Random Location Detection, Vehicle Theft Prevention, Observation of vehicle performance,
and industrial management of vehicles. As an output of this comprehensive review, different
usages of the IoT in the automotive sector will be clarified. Also, this article can be considered as a
basis for advancing the recent implementation of the IoT in the fuel cell, battery, and ICE
domains.

Thorough state-of-the-art analysis of electric and hybrid vehicle powertrains: Topologies and integrated energy management strategies

saving and emission reductions. From the system design perspective, there are numerous indicators affecting the
performance of such vehicles, in which the powertrain type, component configuration, and energy management
strategy (EMS) play a key role. Achieving an energy-efficient powertrain requires tackling several conflicting
control objectives such as the drivability, fuel economy, reduced emissions, and battery state of charge preservation,
which make the EMS the most crucial aspect of powertrain system design. Accordingly, in the present
study, various powertrain systems and topologies of (plug-in) hybrid electric vehicles and full-electric vehicles
are assessed. In addition, EMSs as applied in the literature are systematically surveyed for a qualitative investigation,
classification, and comparison of existing approaches in terms of the principles, advantages, and
drawbacks through a comprehensive review. Furthermore, potential challenges considering the gaps in research
are addressed, and directives paving the way toward further development of powertrains and EMSs in all respects

Efficiency in electromechanical drive motors and energy performance indicators for implementing a management system in balanced animal feed manufacturing
بهره وری در راندن موتورهای الکترومکانیکی و شاخص های عملکرد انرژی برای اجرای یک سیستم مدیریت در تولید متعادل خوراک دام-2020 Energy management for manufacturing animal feed requires efficiency in the electric motors that actuate
electro mechanisms consisting in chain conveyors (3548 kWh/day), elevators of buckets (2626 kWh/
day), types axis non-end screw (298 kWh/day) and conveyor bands (434 kWh/day); all with different
types of mechanical transmissions mainly reducers, chains and straps that as major consumers of electric
energy represent the greatest potential savings. On the other hand, energy performance indicators are
needed for assessing the production of feed and implementing an energy management system. In this
paper a methodology is applied to determine the operating efficiencies of the electrical motors to the
current load factors and adjusted to the actual operating conditions. The case study is a balanced animal
feed manufacturing plant. The energy base line of the processes of higher energy consumption was
obtained as well as energy performance indicators of 10 kWh/t for the same productive levels (500 t/
day), representing a reduction of 364 000 kWh/year and, consequently, 15% of the entry recorded of
energy costs. This result is equivalent to generation costs at 120 t of oil/year, which means a saving of

Thermal management in conventional diesel engines
مدیریت حرارتی در موتورهای دیزلی معمولی-2020 In the era of high-powered automobiles, there occurs a potential for making faster advances in vehicle
speed, power, comfort and with improved mileage and efficiency. Increased power demand in India
due to the rapid industrialization necessitates the design of vehicles with low cost, reduced losses, less
emission and higher efficiency. Large numbers of automobile models step in every year. Hence it is necessary
to control the engine operation simultaneously for quicker and efficient operation. As the amount
of higher power fid engines increase rapidly so as the requirement of thermal management to withstand
the high power. This project focuses on two methods for efficient thermal management; they are conversion
of mechanical coolant pump to electric coolant pump and installation of a thermostat in the lubrication
system. Both methods have been proved to be efficient in thermal management. These are
practically tested and can be used in the near future so that our nation can meet Bharat Stage 6 emission

Searching for meaning: Co-constructing ontologies with stakeholders for smarter search engines in agriculture

making it meaningful to the user-audience. Computer aided search engines potentially can offer widespread
access to large repositories with relevant reports and publications, however the usefulness of such systems for the
practitioners who are dealing with multi-faceted and context-related issues is often limited. Building search
engines with user-centered ontologies offer a means of resolving this as it provides a vocabulary common to
different stakeholders and can optimise the interaction between practitioner users and the expert system.
The paper critically reflects on the methodology used to construct a user-centered ontology in the development
of a search engine designed to help agricultural practitioners (farmers and advisers) find useful research
outputs. This involved the iterative participation of domain experts, adviser practitioners and stakeholder
communities in ten diverse case studies across Europe. Specifically it analyses the design, validation and evaluation
phases of the ontology development drawing on qualitative data (reports, observations, interviews) from
four case studies and asks: How effective is the process of co-constructing an ontology with experts, practitioners
and other stakeholders in enabling the search for useful and meaningful knowledge? In doing this, it contributes
to a deeper theoretical understanding of shared concepts and meanings in the context of digital communications

An associative engines based approach supporting collaborative analytics in the Internet of cultural things
یک رویکرد مبتنی بر موتورهای انجمنی رای پشتیبانی از تجزیه و تحلیل مشارکتی در اینترنت اشیا فرهنگی-2017 In this paper we illustrate an integrated approach combining Business Intelligence, Big Data and Internet
of Things (IoT), which is applied to information resources including structured and unstructured contents,
Geo-Spatial and Social Network data, Multimedia (MM), multiple domain vocabularies, classifiers
and ontologies. This is implemented in an information system which exploits Associative in-memory
technologies in the context of Cloud Computing, as well as Semantic technologies for merging and
analyzing information coming from heterogeneous sources. The primary aim is supporting Cultural
Heritage Asset crowdsourcing, promotion, publication, management and usage. We describe and discuss,
in particular, the application of this system for the analysis of behavior and interest of visitors in different
types of populations and visits: on-site/ad-hoc (exhibitions, museums, cultural events) and territorial
(historical downtown, archaeological or other touristic areas and routes including cultural resources).
In this way it will be possible to provide a common ICT infrastructure and a set of advanced services
for all types of subjects interested in the Cultural Heritage domain. The results of the experimentation
encourage a Business Intelligence approach which is suitable for both nonprofit, research and business
oriented organizations.

Will Web Search Engines Replace Bibliographic Databases in the Systematic Identification of Research?
آیا موتورهای جستجوگر وب جایگزین پایگاه های کتابشناسی در شناسایی سیستماتیک تحقیق هستند؟-2017 The availability of web search engines offers opportunities in addition to those provided by bibliographic data
bases for identifying academic literature, but their usefulness for retrieving research is uncertain. A rigorous lit
erature search was undertaken to investigate whether web search engines might replace bibliographic
databases, using empirical research in health and social care as a case study. Eight databases and five web search
engines were searched between 20 July and 6 August 2015. Sixteen unique studies which compared at least one
database with at least one web search engine were examined, as well as drawing lessons from the authors’ own
search process. Web search engines were limited in that the searcher cannot be certain that the principles of
Boolean logic apply and they were more limited than bibliographic databases in their functions, such as exporting
abstracts. Recommendations are made for improving the rigour and quality of reporting studies of academic lit
erature searching.
