Agility and system documentation in large-scale enterprise system projects: a knowledge management perspective
چابکی و اسناد سیستم در پروژه های سیستم سازمانی در مقیاس بزرگ: دیدگاه مدیریت دانش-2021 The growth of the agile approach usage comes with a deemphasis on formal documentation (explicit knowledge) and an increased
reliance on personal interactions (tacit knowledge) for knowledge transfer. However, the sharing of tacit knowledge poses
challenges. The agile approach is prone to knowledge hoarding, as well as knowledge loss from employee turnover and
reassignment during periods of significant organizational changes. This study proposes a model that frames documentation and
personal interactions as co-agents of system knowledge transfer. We report the preliminary confirmation of crucial antecedents
along the dimensions of codification and personalization strategies to support our model. We present a set of findings on current
practices, as well as a set of knowledge-sharing issues on system documentation based on three main categories. The first category
incorporates system development approaches applied in large-scale enterprise systems projects. The second and the third categories
comprise eight knowledge management themes, classified into the dimensions of personalization and codification for knowledge
sharing and document practices. Finally, we put forward five propositions based on our findings.

Influence of workforce agility on crisis management: Role of job characteristics and higher administrative support in public administration

Crisis situations hardly give much time to the individuals and organizations for preparation. Accordingly, it is more
likely that an agile workforce will better manage crisis in government organizations. This study explores
the influence of workforce agility, on crisis management by government departments and examines the
probable role of higher administrative support, and job characteristics over crisis management. Data were
collected through a questionnaire survey from 263 government administrative officers of Odisha, India.
Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyse the data with the help of AMOS. The results indicate
that workforce agility, higher administrative support, and enriched job characteristics contribute towards
better crisis management. Furthermore, higher administrative support, and enriched job characteristics
were found to be antecedents of workforce agility and influence crisis management through the mediator
workforce agility. The findings of this study will be helpful for government agencies and departments in
creating an agile workforce for effective management of crisis.

Platform-based customer agility: An integrated framework of information management structure, capability, and culture

market intelligence and to explore competitive action opportunities. Prior studies have indicated the critical role
of customer agility in enabling the survival and prosperity of contemporary organizations in a turbulent business
environment, although how to develop this capability is not answered. The current research attempts to fill this
theoretical gap. Drawing on the information management literature, we propose an integrative information
management framework to investigate the process of developing customer agility. By conducting a case study of
a leading e-commerce platform in China, we identify three types of platform-based customer agility (i.e. reactive
customer agility, proactive customer agility, and coactive customer agility) in different phases of the growth of
the platform. Furthermore, a process model is developed from the case study. It shows that platform-based
customer agility is achieved by establishing information management structure, developing information man-
agement capability, and instilling information management culture. This study contributes to the knowledge on
customer agility and information management. Detailed recommendations are also provided for potential

Agile Business Model Innovation in Digital Entrepreneurship: Lean Startup Approaches
نوآوری مدل کسب و کار چابک در کارآفرینی دیجیتال: رویکردهای راه اندازی ناب-2020 Digital startups in the early stages of their development frequently undergo innovation to their value ar- chitecture and Business Model. A set of pragmatic methods drawing on lean and agile principles has recently been proposed to support digital entrepreneurs facing Business Model Innovation (BMI), known as Lean Startup Approaches (LSAs). However, the theoretical and practical relationship between BMI and LSAs in dynamic di- gital environments has seldom been investigated. To fill this gap, our study draws on an exploratory multiple- case study based on three digital multisided platform startups to craft a unified framework that can disclose the relationship between BMI, LSAs and Agile Development (AD), within the context of Strategic Agility. Our fin- dings, which emerge from the unified framework, show that LSAs can be employed as agile methods to enable Business Model Innovation in Digital Entrepreneurship. These findings are then organized around a set of propositions, with the aim of developing a research agenda directed towards integrating BMI, LSAs and AD processes and methods. Understanding market agility for new product success with big data analytics

compelling for firms to be capable of addressing the changing customers needs. The current study examines the
role of big data in new product success. We develop a qualitative research with case study approach to look at
this. Specifically, we look at multiple cases to get in-depth understanding of customer agility for new product
success with big data analytics. The findings of the study provide insight into the role of customer agility in new
product success. This study unpacks the interconnectedness of the effective use of data aggregation tools, the
effectiveness of data analysis tools and customer agility. It also explores the link between all of these factors and
new product success. The study is reasonably telling in that it shows that the effective use of data aggregation
and data analysis tools results in customer agility which in itself explains how an organisation senses and responds
speedily to opportunities for innovation in the competitive marketing environment. The current study
provides significant theoretical contributions by providing evidence for the role of big data analytics, big data

Assessing the quantum-resistant cryptographic agility of routing and switching IT network infrastructure in a large-size financial organization
ارزیابی چابکی رمزنگاری مقاوم به کوانتومی در مسیریابی و تعویض زیرساخت های شبکه IT در یک سازمان مالی با اندازه بزرگ-2019 This paper provides exploratory research by determining the impact of quantum computing threat on modern routing and switching infrastructure components of IT network infrastructure in a large-size fi- nancial organization. We determine whether common routing and switching IT network infrastructure, including its hardware and software components, have enough cryptographic agility to accommodate the change of cryptographic algorithms to the ones that do not exhibit vulnerability to quantum computing and to the ones that are compliant with National Security Agency (NSA) Suite B set of protocols. We pinpoint upstream or downstream impacts of a change in the encryption algorithms across various IT network infrastructure components in terms of effort required to accomplish this transition. This study is among the first studies that investigate quantum-resistance cryptographic from the hard- ware perspectives of routing and switching technologies using diffusion of innovation theory. The study integrates enterprise governance to meet the challenges presented by quantum-computing with a focus on cryptographic agility. We offer an enterprise architecture framework for assessing the dependencies, costs, and benefits of IT infrastructure migration plan to meet the future challenges of quantum-resistant cryptographic. The analysis in this research can be used by IT managers to pre-plan for an upgrade of routing and switching infrastructure, assist in estimating the effort s required to perform these upgrades, and assist in selecting a vendor of routing and switching equipment from the perspective of cryptographic agility. With today’s supercomputers, a computational task involved in breaking modern asymmetric cryptographic algorithms would be infeasible due to the required computational complexity. However, with progress in the devel- opment of quantum computing technology, firms are facing an increasing risk of potential security threats to existing encrypted data and secured transmission channels as the processing power of quantum com- puters continue to increase. Triple-A and competitive advantage in supply chains: Empirical research in developed countries
مثلث A و مزیت رقابتی در زنجیره های تامین: تحقیق تجربی در کشورهای توسعه یافته-2018 Based on his own experience in a number of companies, Lee (2004) posits that the Triple-A (agility, adaptability and alignment) is essential for supply chain (SC) management to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage (CA). However, there is a lack of empirical research that analyzes the Triple-A SC and its impacts on CA. The objective of the present work is to address this omission and to provide empirical evidence on this topic using a multiple-informant, international sample from eight developed countries. A consistent partial least squares structural equation model (PLSc) is used on data for 151 manufacturing plants in three industrial sectors to determine whether agility, alignment and adaptability have individual and/or joint effects on achieving a CA in SCs. In relation to the individual effects, different CAs are achieved by each of the Triple-A variables. SC adaptability has been shown to have a significant positive relationship with all the dimensions of CA. SC alignment affects most of these dimensions, but SC agility only affects financial CA and flexibility CA. This research does, however, confirm the positive relationship for the joint effect of the Triple-A SC variables and CA. The effects are significant on all the CA measures except quality. Important implications can be drawn for managers by showing how SC levers can be set to improve performance indicators.

Towards the agility of collaborative workflows through an event driven approach – Application to crisis management
به سوی چابکی گردش کار مشترک از طریق یک رویکرد مبتنی بر رویداد - کاربرد در مدیریت بحران-2018 Organizations are more and more involved into collaborations to face globalization, crisis situations or market
demand. Consequently, they are strongly dependent on their collaborative processes and matching workflows,
which have to be relevant and efficient through time. As collaborations and their context are now fast evolving,
agility of collaborative workflows is now an unavoidable requirement. Several solutions have been developed to
deal with this issue, but they often focus their monitoring on a single aspect of the collaboration and/or impose a
single adaptation strategy to face the detected evolutions. This article describes a platform to support decision
making about the adaptation strategy to lead by: (i) taking into account and exploit relevant data gathered from
the collaboration itself and its environment (context awareness); (ii) proposing relevant adaptation strategies to
correct or improve the collaborative behaviour. Based on the solutions proposed by the platform, decision
makers can choose the most appropriate adaptation tool to perform the selected adaptation strategy. As crisis
responses are specific cases of collaboration in an unstable context of execution (short time to react, highly
evolving environment), a proof of concept based on the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster is developed to
illustrate the use of the developed platform.
